Device: Xiaomi Redmi 4A from Gearbest
The phone was shipped with a reported "fake global rom". I managed to flash the Global Rom (unofficial by Xiaomi EU). Here's how I did it.
1. Download XiaoMiFlash tool (https://mega.nz/#!aAhCmbSS!LvXzz7F1U5kG8v6oCbN_NiWFPvXahNON_FfclGnjFPE)
2. Download the Official China Stable Rom from Xiaomi (http://en.miui.com/a-234.html) choose Redmi 4A Latest China Stable Version Fastboot File Download
3. Extract the China Rom and change extracted .tar file's extension to .tz
3a. Extract the .tz file with 7zip
4. Open MiFlash tool, select the folder where you've just extracted the .tz file (named rolex_images_V8.1.2.0.MCCCNDI_20161125.0000.00_6.0_cn)
4a. Check the "clean all and lock" option in the lower right corner in MiFlash tool
5. Power off your device. Now press the 'power' button and 'volume up'
6. A screen appears with several options, choose 'Download'
7. Connect your phone to your PC and await (COM [xx]) to show in MiFlash tool
8. Click flash and wait for it to finish.
9. Reboot your phone and wait (this will take 5-10 minutes)
10. When you've installed the China Rom go to Mi Unlock Status

11. If it says 'Device is unlocked' you're good to go, if your device is locked this method wont work (see picture above)
12. Download the latest weekly rom or stable (your choice) from https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/6-12-22.36929/
13. Download Cofface's TWRP recovery for Redmi 4A: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862683408
14. Flash the recovery if you can - I couldn't so I ran (fastboot boot [filename].img)
15. Phone now boots into TWRP
16. Perform Nandroid and wipe (factory reset)
17. Install Xiaomi EU rom
18. Voila! You have the unoffical global rom by Xiaomi EU and fully functional Play Store.
Wah, a great one! I think we need subforum for this gadget.
up for this cheap price phone for great specs i see.... thats why people love Android units......
Nice job bud! I have a redmi 4 prime and it came with this fake global rom too, so i thinking on make the same thing u did. But i dont get why u flashed the china rom first and them flashed miui eu. Why not flash the miui eu only? 'Cause of unlock bootloader? Im pretty sure users can request the unlock code from their official xiaomi forum/site.
Greetings!

I'm not sure you can unlock your phone with the fake rom installed. There unlock device option isn't included. To be honest, I can't remember, as this was a gift for my sister and not a daily driver of mine. Should work on the 'Prime' too - BUT make sure you flash the correct TWRP for Redmi 4 Prime specifically.
My redmi 4A from gearbest already came with an unlocked bootloader. Bow working good with global from xiaomi.EU via twrp.

Additional note: the battery's endurance is really impressive! Lasting two days using as much as I can. Only mail twitter telegram internet sometimes it lasts four (4) days!! Pretty good for 3000 mAh. SD425 I only say. The performance is OK. No turbo, but definitely not slow!
Buy this phone, if you want to have as much phone as possible for your low budget. It's impressive!
Rom infested with bloatwares and malware.
Unnecessary apps that consume the few features of the device.
I'm sorry that a manufacturer of this size behaves this way.

Those who have eyes to read: read!
You're on a shoprom. It's not the factory's one.
Read here on XDA about flashing xiaomi.eu ROM.
Got a 4A with Global 8.2.1.0, currently quite annoyed that the unlock procedure that's plastered all over the place doesn't actually work, with the only answer being to "wait longer".
Its already been stated long ago in mi's official forums, that the unlock procedure works on a Gobal nondev, but I don't think the procedure has been tested outside of China and India. 15+ days since I got the permission to unlock (this was within an hour BTW), and the official unlocker still cannot verify the device. No answer to the bug report either.
Not to mention I've never been able to register with the Unlock Status app (10008: an error has occured, please consult API), and the mi finder site will locate my 4A, but pretend it isn't connected - so no go on a possible method 2.
Really don't know what I missed. It'll take a bit of time to flash any dev ROM and reinstall all the things; I had a 1S and it wasn't that difficult to get the bootloader unlocked.
Is there an unofficial way to get temporary root BTW?

I thought the same on my device. But afterwards it was not necessary at all. Gear...st already flashed their shoprom on my device, which said is was a global one, but not updatable via ota.
My next step was to check how they did it.
Did you already check bootloader status via fastboot OEM check? Maybe you can simply already flash twrp as described on xiaomi.eu site.

Nah, my device wasn't from Gearbest. It's officially sold by Xiaomi in Singapore; they're working with Challenger; the ROM has play store and is only "contaminated" by an extra music app, an extra browser, and all the mi specific apps in 1 folder. <_<'
I did fastboot oem check whilst hoping I could get TWRP in long ago; no dice - device unlocked: false. Also, I do not seem to have the permission to run the "fastboot oem unlock" command.

OK, I only had the hope to help you. You can try to contact gearbest how they flash their shoprom... Just kidding
Please tell us, what the answer to your bug report was. Hope that would not last a year for xiaomi to answer ...

I am from India and havn't been able to unlock newer mi phones ( 3s prime and 4A ). If this did this to safeguard these devices clearly shoprom like places have defied that.
STill waiting for some genius to find jailbreak without begging Mi
Yeah, this is the working guide now.
I follow this guide to root redmi 4A. Instead of cafface when we use original twrp recovery I face boot loops issue on global Rom.

Is the new 4a version (2GM RAM, 32 GB ROM) supported for this procedure and eu rom? I was thinking to that phone for my son but I don't want china bloatware.
thanks in advance
mauro
Hi Mauro, yes, it is.
My 4A 2GB 32GB WORLD from gearbest came with Version: V8.1.6.0.MXDMIDI - STABLE world and a LOCKED bootloader.
I checked the bootloader status 1st with #fastboot oem device-info
Then opend a MI Account via the phone itself and asked for the unlock permission. Which was granted within 10 minutes. (Thanks!)
There is a restrictive waiting time of 72h after creating the MI account and unlocking the bl which the recent version of the unlock tool respects - but the older version (MiFlashUnlock_1.1.1111.1_en) thankfully ignores.
After that I followed above instructions (twrp did not install for me neither, I got a good scare when trying to boot into allegedly installed twrp but was greeted with the Chinese stock recovery - changing language is the right button, 2nd row from below - but that won´t help you, you have) to boot into twrp from fastload and then installed Xiaomi EU rom and root (from sdcard). All good!
That's great! Thanks a lot santamanga!

For you who want to unlock the beast Redmi 3/pro's without any verification from Xiaomi. You just have need to follow this guide. Here we go:
1. Firstly, you need to make a MI account on your Redmi 3/Pro/Prime.
2. Then you need too download China developer rom. Get it in http://bigota.d.miui.com/6.10.27/ido_xhdpi_images_6.10.27_20161027.0000.00_5.1_cn_8d2c94b352.tgz. Then flash it with Mi Flashtool. Find it on http://bigota.d.miui.com/tools/MiPhone20151028.exe. Then flash the on your 64 bit computer with Windows 7/8/10. And let it boot into home. Enter the developer options in settings and activate the adb debugging, fastboot unlock, and oem unlock.
3. And you need to install mi unlock tool from http://www.stechguide.com/mi-flash-unlock-tool-to-unlock-bootloader-of-xiaomi-devices/ on your computer.
4. After you install the mi unlock, run it as administrator and make sure your computer has an internet connection.
5. Input your Mi account and your password into it. Wait for verification in a few seconds and you can see "Unlock" button.
6. Enter the fastboot mode and connect it to your computer. Wait untill the computer read your device.
7. And click the "Unlock" buttons in Mi Unlock Tool. Wait untill the processing complete.
8. Reboot the phone and Haaaaaaaalp, you have unlocked bootloader device.:victory:
Thanks.
Thanks for the guide (more specifically, thanks for the modified unlock tool). It worked for my Redmi 3 running Miui 8 Beta 6.11.3 (official download).
I never managed to file for permission because that damn site kept crashing or just redirecting me to pages that made no sense. Your post solved that problem for me, so thanks again.
Now I'm off to installing CM.
You got it bro!!

Strange that Mi Unlock Tool links to a .exe that asks the exact same procedure as Miui (requiring SMS verification).
Why not linking to the original Xiaomi website?
What else does this exe contains?
Anyone else has tested it?

Mi unlock tool is an .exe format, that mean you can only run it in computer. Just download the .exe file and run it as administrator on your computer and you will unlock your bootloader. Of course after you flashed the developer rom on your device.
I tried to do it the way described in the first post, but it doesn't work and just redirects me to miui.com.
THe Unlock Tool doesn't seem to be modified in any way compared to the original one. What am I doing wrong?

No it's not. The OP says it's possible to unlock the bootloader without the confirmation by Xiaomi. And that doesn't work. It wants to verify anyway and doesnt let me unlock the bootloader. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or is the post just a little bit misleading?

Don't waste your time with this tutorial. You still to need to apply for the unlock from Xiaomi. I'm still waiting for mine.

Method #1: Using Updater App
This method will only work if you have a previous MIUI stable version installed on the device. If you have a developer version, custom ROM, or TWRP installed then look forward to the methods below this one.
Start by downloading the MIUI 9 Stable ROM for Mi 5, 5s, and 5s Plus:
Mi 5: miui_MI5Global_V9.1.1.0.NAAMIEI_c91be5fdc5_7.0.zip
Mi 5s: miui_MI5SGlobal_V9.1.1.0.NAGMIEI_3e22d133b8_7.0.zip
Mi 5s Plus: miui_MI5SPlusGlobal_V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI_425a5cf0ce_7.0.zip
Connect your Mi device to the PC and transfer the recovery ROM package to the internal storage.
Open the ‘Updater’ app from your device’s homescreen.
When the Updater app opens up, tap on the 3-dot overflow button on the top-right to open the menu.
Then select the ‘Choose update package’ option.
Now, browse through the internal storage and select the recovery ROM zip file (e.g. miui_MI5SGlobal_V9.1.1.0.NAGMIEI_3e22d133b8_7.0.zip).
Once selected press on ‘Ok’ to start the process and install MIUI 9 Stable ROM on Xiaomi Mi 5, 5s, and 5s Plus.
When the installation process is complete, the device will automatically reboot into the update MIUI 9 OS.
Method #2: Using MiFlash Tool
Now, if your Mi 5 device is running on Global/Developer/China ROM, then you can use this method to install the update using MiFlash tool. Before you head to the instructions to install MIUI 9 Stable ROM on Xiaomi Mi 5 devices, make sure to download and install the MiFlash tool on your PC.
Download the Fastboot ROM zip for your device:
Mi 5: gemini_global_images_V9.1.1.0.NAAMIEI_20171104.0000.00_7.0_global_e9972aa98e.tgz
Mi 5s: capricorn_global_images_V9.1.1.0.NAGMIEI_20171107.0000.00_7.0_global_3de38a062f.tgz
Mi 5s Plus: natrium_global_images_V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI_20171106.0000.00_7.0_global_b89c33a95f.tgz
Boot your Mi 5 device into Fastboot mode:
Power off your phone completely.
Press and hold the Volume Down + Power button simultaneously to boot into Fastboot mode.
Now, connect your Mi 5 to the PC and launch the MiFlash tool.
Click the ‘refresh’ button in the MiFlash window to make sure that the device is being recognized properly.
Extract the downloaded Fastboot ROM (.tgz) file to an easily accessible location on your PC.
In the MiFlash window, click on the ‘select’ button and select the folder where the files have been extracted. For example, we have extracted our ROM to C:\MIUI\ROM.
Now, click the ‘flash’ button to install MIUI 9 Stable ROM on Xiaomi Mi 5/5s/5s Plus.
The flashing process should be complete in a few minutes. During this time, make sure to leave the PC and the device undisturbed to avoid any problems.
Once done, the device will automatically reboot. You can disconnect the phone now and close the MiFlash tool. Now, go through the on-screen instructions to set up the device.
Method #3: Using TWRP Recovery
If your Mi device has TWRP recovery installed on it, you can simply use it to flash the Recovery ROM zip to install MIUI 9 Stable ROM on Xiaomi Mi 5, 5s and 5s Plus.
Download the Recovery ROM zip for your device (listed in Method #1).
Connect your Mi 5 device to the PC and copy the file to the internal storage.
Disconnect the device and power it off.
Now, boot into TWRP recovery:
Press and hold the Volume Up + Power button until you see the Mi logo on the screen.
Then, release the Power button and keep on holding the Volume key until you see TWRP recovery mode.
Once in TWRP, go to ‘Wipe’ -> ‘Advanced Wipe’ and select the following options:
Dalvik / ART Cache
System
Data
Cache
Now, swipe the ‘Swipe to Wipe’ button to erase the current ROM.
Go back to the TWRP main-screen and press the ‘Install’ button.
Browse the storage and select the Recovery ROM zip (e.g. miui_MI5SGlobal_V9.1.1.0.NAGMIEI_3e22d133b8_7.0.zip).
Swipe the ‘Swipe to confirm Flash’ button to install MIUI 9 Stable ROM on Xiaomi Mi 5/5s/5s Plus.
Once the flashing process is complete, tap the ‘Reboot System’ button.
Your Mi phone will now boot into the updated MIUI 9 firmware. Go through the initial setup and enjoy the new features on your device now.

Updated a few days ago from XiaomiEU 8.5.6.0. ROM is smooth, no lags at all.
Seems faster than MIUI8, but maybe it's just my impression
It should be faster (from the feeling), it was one of the main targets of MIUI9.
Sadly it is now removed for the MI 5s, until they have fixed some found bugs
Hello guys...if i want to use method 1 did i need to unlock bootloader first? If direct update can?
For variant 1 it's not needed. I suggest to wait though, as Xiaomi removed this update, because of bugs.

Ok thank you

[Update as of May 23, 2020] - Thread no longer active and all download links are invalid
A brief history - A few weeks ago, i got fed up of EMUI and all the bloat. EMUI has a bunch of very useful features but i did miss the AOSP look and feel, root advantages. So, i tried magisk and couldn't get it to work with EMUI(pre 15.4 version). So i switched to Open krin 8.1 AOSP. Used it for a few days but it was too much of a sacrifice (VOLTE and Camera) and occasional buggyness for me to live with.
During this adventure, i found myself (multiple times) with a bricked device (A critical brick with FRP on aswell!).
After a lot of struggle(Specially to find working download links), i'm making this thread, to help fellow users like me.
Before we get started,
This is tested on my device but may not necessarily work with yours! I'm not responsible for any loss/damage/whatever caused because of the information in this thread.
Note 0 : Do not Quote the entire post!!
Note 1 : This guide will be updated as and when necessary.
Note 2 : These methods are only tested on Honor 8 Pro - Indian Variant(DUK-L09-C675)
Note 3 : This guide assumes the bootloader is unlocked.
Note 4 : Do text if you need any clarification on any step!
Thanks to @nanortemis (https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8-pro/how-to/restoring-dukfullotaromflasher-t3741223) for the ROM flasher
Download links for every file needed - Download links are now removed.
Let's get started.
Reboot your device into bootloader mode.
How? Method 11. Shut down the phone.
2. Hold the volume down button and connect the usb cable connected to your PC.Method 2 (If device is boot looping)1. Press and hold power button untill phone reboots.
2. Hold volume up key to boot to e-recovery.
3. Click shutdown.
4. Now follow Method 1.
Now that you are in bootloader mode,
You may find yourself in one of these three conditions
Condition 1. You read Phone unlock , FRP unlock ( Hurray !! This is the easiest to recover from.)
Condition 2. You read Phone unlock , FRP Lock AND you have TWRP flashed and working. ( Phew , there is still hope!)
Condition 3. You read Phone unlock , FRP Lock AND you have STOCK recovery! (Not sure how you got here, but this method is not tested by me.) (Please text if someone is stuck in this situation. I Will think of something if needed)(Guide is not yet updated with instructions on how to do this yet!)
Steps to recover from condition 1
1. Download stock rom files and stock rom flasher(from here) ( I have updated files for indian version.
Please get the version appropriate to your location.)
2. Extract files into a folder and transfer them to an exteral SD or USB OTG(If you can get it to work. I
Couldn't get my OTG to be detected) and insert it into your phone.
3. Reboot to recovery.
How? 1. Shutdown the deive(Look above for instructions, if needed.)
2. Hold volume up and then simultaniously press the power key. 4. In TWRP, erase everything except micro-sd/otg.
5. Reboot the device into recovery.
6. Flash the zip with the file name "FlashThisZip-DUK_FullOTA_ROM_flasher".
7. Done ! You should now be on Stock Indian oreo rom 8.0.0.323
8. (Optional) Relock bootloader (Check other guids please.)
Steps to recover from condition 2
1. Download and extract the twrp recovery files i made. ( You may use any stock emui (all partition)
backups you have made!
2. Transer the TWRP folder to External SD / OTG and insert it into the phone.
3. Reboot to recovery.
How? 1. Shutdown the deive(Look above for instructions, if needed.)
2. Hold volume up and then simultaniously press the power key. 4. In TWRP, erase everything except micro-sd/otg.
5. Restore the backup.
6. Done !!! To flash full stock fresh rom, read on.
7. (Optional) Boot up the phone, head into settings, enable developer options and enable OEM unlock.
8. (Optional) Now, simply follow steps from Condition 1(which is above!)
Guide is still under construction. I got this out as soon as i can to help anyone who is stuck. Please ignore any typos(They will be fixed when i find time to make this guide better).
All the best :good: :fingers-crossed:

Hi, Thanks for the guide.
However, I'm in deep shi*. I'm currently stuck in bootloop, I'm even unable to get to e-recovery. I'm able to get to fastboot though. Even though, I read PHONE Locked and FRP Unlock. What options do I have? I got my bootloader unlock code from EMUI but when I try to unlock bootloader, it says that the password is incorrect..

Hey,
While i was messing around with my H8P bootloader, i noticed an additional 's' in my password ! Probably while saving it would have got added.
I recommend cross checking if you're actually using the right password. (To the extent that you go through the request process again! Recommend doing this and taking screenshots as after a few days, you will no longer be able to request codes anymore!).
Also, post the error you get while trying to unlock the bootloader.

Hi,
Eventually I had to pay 15€ for DC Phoenix to be able to flash my Honor. Absolutely nothing helped and none of C434 firmwares worked on C900B131 rollback package, therefore I had to flash C636B130. I received an update to B360 which worked just fine. Then B380 update came which is a nightmare that bricks our phones and the reason I bricked my Honor 8 the first time (back in October of 2017). I had to reflash it through DC Phoenix once again. Later on I tried to move from B360 to B389 which bricked my phone AGAIN. So I am staying on B360 which, I think, works just fine. It is sad that I am unable to get the latest firmware updates but it is what it is. Although I really hate the notification on my Settings icon which informs to update the phone. I disabled all the Updater notifications and so on but it is still there.
I like Honor 8 and I've been always recomending it to everyone but as of now I doubt I'll ever buy Huawei phone again.

DC Phoenix always to the rescue. Unfortunately , this is the sad state of Huawei/Honor . Your device should be fixed free , because of Honors fault. Now that they're also not giving out unlock codes after a month , it's a direct screw you to all the advanced users. There's no predicting how this gamble will play out for them. I'm also not going to recommend Huawei /Honor to any advanced users . One plus has my money. However , Huaweis midrangers and just about OK for regular use.

I don't know others alternatives and I'm not interested in knowing them.

Then this app is mostly useless...
Don't write all in one, including boooader unlock if it does not unlock bootloader. The only way to unlock a Xiaomi Bootloader is via the official app. So either remove bootloader unlock or all in one from the title because it is misleading.

The name is that and will not be changed, this tool is not written only for xiaomi devices but also for others devices. Unfortunately Xiaomi devices needs to be unlocked through official method and this is why they have not been added until now. In all cases clicking on unlock you will be redirected to a good guide to unlock xiaomi devices.

Whatever it was designed for it does not work as intended with Xiaomi devices. So you should not have shared it with that title because it is not true. Without bootloader unlock you cannot do mainly anything and this app is not designed to unlock MI devices. It is my opinion that you shouldn't have shared it here under that name because it's very misleading. I've told you what you should do to make it not misunderstandable but you refuse to take my advice. See, whatever. You told your own opinion and I've told mine. Topic closed.

Hello,
I have recently acquired an Xiaomi Mi A1 device to try LineageOS.
I follow the steps of the official installation guide here: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/tissot/install
I'm facing problems to unlock the bootloader. Despite many tries, the command "fastboot oem unlock" return the following error code "0x1002"
ADB version: 1.0.41
fastboot version: 33.0.3-8952118
USB debugging: ON
OEM unlock: ON
I have access to the fastboot mode, the device is listed with adb command "fastboot devices" and an entry appears on Windows Device Manager.

I have tried to factory reset the phone but the problem still occurs.
Also Mi Unlock tool seems not be usable because Mi Account APK (com.xiaomi.account) is not installed on the phone.
Yoru2647 seems facing the same issue: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/urgent-help-xiaomi-mi-a1-unlock-bootloader.4295115/post-87995167
Did i miss something? Any ideas about this 0x1002 error code?
Thanks for your advices.

You must have a Xiaomi account with the associated phone,
If you don't have an account, create one and use the official Xiaomi tool to unlock the bootloader.
Unlocking bootloader:
https://new.c.mi.com/global/post/101245
https://en.miui.com/unlock/index.html
Thank you for the answer.
I tried that but I'm unable to finish it, the problem is that I cannot bind the Xiaomi account on the phone.
I'm stuck in this step:
The phone was delivered with Android 12 (Go edition) without MIUI's layer. The build number indicate: 12 V13.0.8.0SGMEUXM
That means i have not "Mi Unlock status" on developer options or "Mi Account" on phone settings.
Is it possible to install additional components for bind Mi account on the phone? or any workaround to bypass it?
I desperately tried to install Xiaomi Account APK manually with adb: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/mi-account/mi-account-r-22-12-26-01-release/
But it failed with the error : "Reconcile failed: Package com.xiaomi.account requires unavailable shared library security-device-credential-sdk.jar; failing!]"
Is it possible to put one of the official MIUI ROM on phone even with a locked bootloader? (like these ones: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/tissot/)

Code name ACE not TISSOT.
And the phone is up to date
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/ice/.
If you really want to unlock the bootloader.
Try: download Platform tools and run CMD/Power shell from platform tools folder.
CMD fastboot oem unlock
Power shell ./fastboot oem unlock

Good catch, I should have paid more attention to this point.
I did not find any LineageOS ROM for it. I assume it is not supported on my phone for now.
However, i tried "fastboot oem unlock" command on both command promp and powershell with and without admin rights.
The result is the same: FAILED (remote: 'Unlock failed - Err:0x1002)
In the next days, i will continue to try few others things like changing USB cable, USB port, computer, ...
The problem also may be linked to FRP mode? i will check that too.
I will share the solution if i success.
Thanks

Hello,
I have recently acquired an Xiaomi Mi A1 device to try LineageOS.

Your device has to be listed like Android Bootloader Interface, this image is referential, taken from the net.

Your device is not Xiaomi Mi A1 (Tissot) but Redmi A1 (Ice), they're very different devices, even one came with Snapdragon when yours come with MediaTek.
Pay attention specially if you think to root it or install some custom ROM on it.
It runs Android One, not Android Go (Edition).

In Xiaomi devices running Android One, you don't need (nor can't) to bind an account, and the Xiaomi Unlock tool is useless for.
Unlocking bootloader is done through command fastboot oem unlock

FRP has nothing to do with.

Facing the same issue, FAILED (remote: 'Unlock failed - Err:0x1002) when trying "fastboot oem unlock". I have tried Please share if you find solution thanks
If all the mentioned were met, and the error persists, then try opening the CMD as admin.

Helpful answers.
Finally, i did it.
This article give the soluce: https://www.droidwin.com/unlock-bootloader-on-mediatek-devices-using-mtkclient
"However, there are a few MediaTek devices that don’t accept any of these Fastboot Commands. if your device also falls in this domain, then this guide shall help you out. In this tutorial, we will show you the detailed steps to unlock the bootloader on your MediaTek device using MTKClient."
I followed it step by step and it works!

Yep, I haven't found a lot of custom ROM who support (ice) codename.
Any better place here to post about "Redmi A1/POCO C50/A1+ (ice)"?
I don't seem to be the only one to make this confusion.

Well, not, unfortunately, it seems that your device is not popular at all among developers. As a "deposit" of custom ROMs, you should try AFH, SourceForge, PlingOS, apart than from Twitter.
Depending on how many similar are the two linked devices, then you should search for something for them.
The device is young, it's been released in September 2022. I don't expect to find a custom ROM before long time.
The generic system images may be a good alternative in this case, like this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gsi-13-lineageos-20-light.4509315/
It's not my daily phone, i get it specifically to experiment. I would be careful, but for 80$ it's not a big loss if i brick it.
I will try it when i have more free time.
Thanks for helping

Yes, it's not much time since was released, the normal waiting time could be at least 6 months.
Yes, GSIs, are a good alternative.
Don't forget to back up all the partitions available, less userdata, that occupy a really huge size (about 100 GB of storage), and super partition (don't care about). And a last advice, never user format all feature through SPFT, otherwise you'll erase NVRAM partition, fingerprint, LTE signal, IMEI and more.
