How can i jtag it?

dear fehreneoh, with this problem, can i install android which you create?

feherneoh said:
eMMC probably became write-protected. Only way to fix that is by JTAG. Problem is, if you don't have a full backup of the phone (which you most probably don't have), then after JTAG there is a high chanche that the phone will be stuck in airplane mode with none of the wireless communication features working.
So if you get somebody to repair it for you, make sure they backup the chip before fixing it, so you can later fix wireless functionality

Did you have unlocked the Bootloader with WP Internals ?
and more other things ....
So the first step could be to recover your phone with the Windows Recovery tool....
To see that you phone is working correctly ....

One thing.
My friend ended up with the same issue as this.
Question - how do you differentiate emmc write protection and emmc death in these cases?
Because apparently where he went to fix it, they wanted to charge quite a bit because they had to replace stuff.

Firmware before?
Firmware you try?
Example
S8530BUKA2 blabla
Some combinations are not working. Maybe you try wrong Firmware.
Maybe your handset have Netlock, maybe...
Maybe you should give more details.
Make Screeshot from Multiloader.
Maybe Multiloader 5.65 work better...
Which Windows?
32 or 64 bit?
Your first update or success before and only now failed...
Best Regards
i think he just forgot to close heavy programs on his computer
Even i had the same problem while i upgraded. Just do a hard reset by entering manual code (*2767*3855#) before and after the FW upgrade.
P.S- Keep your external SD card and you SIM out before you do the factory reset

As I remember this can be solved by flashing back a full 1.2 firmware (for example JL2) and then the 2.0 again.
But the problem indicates that the firmware you tried to install is somehow corrupt or it consists files from multiple versions (I faced the same issue when I tried to mix in CSC file from an earlier firmware).

[Q] Bricked Galaxy S4 I337 help needed

Hi, I have a bricked I337 and I would like to have some opinions before I give up trying to fix it.
Here is a short version of what I have done.
The phone came to me with null IMEI which I was trying to fix. After trying several tools, the phone became dead, no boot, nothing. At this point I went for a JTAG solution. JTAG software detected it well, and repair procedure was successfull as reported by JTAG software, phone was still dead.
With the help of the JTAG software programmer I got an M919 full dump which I tried to write to phone, after 4 hours of writing the dump, battery completely died at 95% of writing. I recharged battery and after that moment have been unable to connect with phone via JTAG. JTAG software detects its hardware ID but can't initialize phone for writing.
I have read every unbrick thread from other phones, have tried QPST with many files I have found on the way and all I get are errors. So I have been unable to communicate with phone.
Is this finally a faulty phone? Have anyone have another idea?

Wow, sorry to hear this. the battery went dead before jtag finished? ouch. QPST will not help for this, a phone will still boot with no IMEI, this is not good, may want to start a warranty ticket on it. I have a jtag box, so there is a release update for the G4 for it? I did not know this, haven't check in awhile, pull the battery for a good while, replace and charge all the way, and give it one more shot. Sorry bro.

This is exactly what I didn't want to hear :crying:
I have used Riff as JTAG solution.
Unfortunately warranty is not an option for me so I will pull the battery for a couple of days before I try again. At this point it seems is really dead.
I have found many files for QPST that are supposed to do everything to a dead phone, even a command line utility for the same purpose, with some hex and mbn files, but as I said they all failed, it seems to me that eMMC chip is not working at all.
I'll keep you updated if I ever find a way to fix this phone.

You don't need to use ODIN to fix a boot-loop, just use the 3-button combo to go into recovery and flash a backup or a ROM (Following proper wiping steps).

Same problem here. How you created the SD Card ? Can you help me creating it ? I am unable to understand the meaning of "normal device". Does this means i need another working note 4 ? Or any other device would work ? Also do i have to install completely new software to the "normal device" before creating the sd card ?

Normal means, a working device - similar model.
Better to do a factory data reset on working phone (after backing up) and create debrick image (it reduces the time and space needed on SD card).
If it does work, do share your image to others.

A friend come to me with a note 4 exactly like your with emmc read error. I tried flashing stock rom but no result. After that i flashed stock rom 4 files version with PIT and repartition ... but nothing. The trick with what i succeded was to flash stock rom with odin 3.10.6 and when the flashing process starts just tap the screen from 10 to 10 seconds until the process succeded. I know it seems stupid but this saved the phone. Homewer after 3 weeks my friend called me and said that the phone completly died. And one more tip, remove and put back battery between each attemp to flash stock rom with odin.
I think this can help us... Just take the bootloader from here and the pit and guide from attachments and try it. it may save your phones.
One more thing.. Here are the .SDC files for direct sdcard boot repair. So choose what sdc you need and try to flash.
The flash procedure is this:
1.Put the .SDC file to your sdcard (sdcard must be formated as FAT32 and must be SDHC max 16GB)
2.On the phone press VOLUME DOWN + HOME + POWER
3.If all is ok the phone will display SDCARD MODE and will try to flash the phone with the file provided to sdcard
4. IF the process went ok now you have to flash the phone with odin and stock rom.
If the phone didnt boot to SDCARD Mode you will need a USB JIG that you can buy from ebay or somewhere else...
I hope this help you.

The only way is that file I shared or a USB JIG.
Thank you all for your help. Today i delivered my phone to samsung for repairs in the hope that it has warrantee. Will hear from them within 2 weeks. If they wont repair within warranty i will try this. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Maybe someone knows more than i do. Will my custom rom flashing behavior affect the longevity of my beloved phones motherboard? I tend to do that a lot. I come from an HTC where there is no lock in the boot-loader anymore and am affraid that my flashing frenzy might have broken my phone. It shouldn't play a role, should it?

Also, if you can, Download this, install it, connect the SD Card to PC directly, choose the drive on which the SD is mounted in the "Device" option and click on "Read". It will create an img file which I can then write onto my sd card. If you can do this, it'd be a big help

I've had these same kind of symptoms for a few weeks. Then I flashed Debloated ROM v5 and got Wake lock app from the Google play and while maybr this is a work around, my phone has been flawless ever since wake lock was installed. Flashing didn't cause any problems.

Installing a ROM never breaks hardware, except you've installed it not properly (wrong installing method)

CM12.1 booting but touch screen and soft keys not workig and the phone takes long time to boot or enter recovery mode
well I have face this error too and even I can't figure out what the problem is it so
only one way to solve this is to
give your phone to care centre .
Remember ( flash your phone with Odin and tick erase option then give your phone to care centre ) otherwise your Odin download mode say its on custom
good luck
