trouble with root - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

my galaxy s7 is rooted. After installing xsposed i had to do a factory reset. I still have the "custom" when it boots up but its stuck on the hands free activation, so i have no service. At the same time I'm getting a" device descriptor request failed" errr when i connect to my pc. so i cant reflash. Any help would be highly appreciated

SM-T230NU stuck on yellow triangle

Hi, folks - my first post on XDA, and boy do I need help.
Short version, it seems like my Tab4 7'' might be bricked - I've got a "Firmware update encountered an issue" yellow triangle when I tried rooting it and Odin decided to crash three seconds in and can't get past it. The tablet isn't recognized in device manager anymore, with a "A request for the USB device descriptor failed." and KIES keeps trying to connect to it, but without effect.
Digging around online gave me contradictory, vague and often out-of-date results - most of them recommend using Odin to reflash it with a stock image {which I may or may not have}, but when I try to, it waits at SetupConnection.
Any ideas? I have a replacement plan for it, but I'd rather not cash it in unless I have to.

Galaxy s6 edge plus error

so i got my hands on a s6 edge plus live demo unit. so i decided to root it but that failed, then i installed a custom rom and it worked. so i tried to install xposed so i booted my phone into recovery mode but i had an error message that said about the frp lock, but now when i boot my phone it keeps booting to recovery mods and i can't boot it normally. so i searched the internet and found nothing, so i tried myself but i got my phone in an akward situation now... when i boot it up i immedtiatly get a screen saying "an error has occurred while updating the device software. use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software". i tried that but it said my device wasn't compatible and even with Kies and Kies 3 i had the same message. and when flash anything with odin even the stock files it says it failed and my phone says that frp lock thingy again... so can anyone help me please because i really want that phone to keep...

SN-910F problems

Hello.
Have bought this device. It won't boot. Gets stuck on Samsung logo. When I saw it for sale the device was locked with an encryption password.
I am unable to factory wipe the device. I get an error saying unable to mount E:
I have tried with Odin but I get an MDM can't download error.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
Do a Reset with Kies on your PC. It will wipe everything from the Phone and you can start from scratch.

How to unlock bootloader? Modaco tools, but getting "error: device not found"

How to unlock bootloader? Modaco tools, but getting "error: device not found"
Hello everyone,
(Windows 10; Android 5.0 or 5.1)
(For the record, this is probably related to bootloader unlocking or samsung devices in general, but the device I have is a Tab 4 so I'm making this post here.)
I picked up a new Galaxy Tab 4 Active (SM-T365F0) dirt cheap at a Samsung store in Korea, and I'm trying to root it to get rid of all the bloatware.
Anyways, trying to root it through Odin and the CF-Auto-Root package failed, I believe because the bootloader was still locked.
Now I'm trying to unlock the bootloader using the Modaco tools here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...otloader-samsung-galaxy-t3409080/post67558470
and following those steps, I run
Code:
abd-windows.exe reboot bootloader
'but I get a "error: device not found" message.
Device manager recognizes the phone, showing it as "SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device". Regular old file explorer don't show anything, but the 'device connected' Windows alert sound plays every time I plug the device in.
So, the device is connected and recognized (properly?), but the boot unlocker doesn't recognize it. What should I do? Should the boot unlocker being looking at a different port? (It always tries port 5037)
Any help you can give would be most appreciated.
How do I unlock the bootloader of my SM-T531?
Having the same problem here, but my device is a SM-T531 running 4.4.2 (ZTO/Brazil).
Anyone please help :fingers-crossed:

Soft-brick? How to fix "An Error Occurred While Updating The Device Software" Galaxy Tab A SM-T510

Hi,
When trying to flash TWRP, the cable disconnected and the device (Galaxy Tab A SM-T510) shows this error : "An Error Occurred While Updating The Device Software"
Samsung SmartSwitch doesn't seem to work on PC and Mac OS.
FRP Hijacker doesn't show the SM-T510 device in the list.
What can I do to undo the soft brick ?
Thanks.
Hi, Old post I realise, but wondered if you found a solution. I've just had the same issue and even though I've recovered from this error before, I can't remember what I did!
