Boot your phone in TWRP. format everything (I would recommend you to even format your internal storage).
Then flash the full package of latest H2OS. Then u have 2 options
1. Stay happy with H2OS as now, your IMEIs would be back and phone would be usable. however there may be frequent network drops (as seen in most cases).
OR
2. Format data/cache/dalvik and system ang flash CM14.1 (Official/ Unofficial any would do; latest version preferred ). U will get IMEIs working but phone may have random Reboots (as seen in most cases).

[Q]Can i able to retrieve imei 2 after OOS update or is there any turn around ?

Hi,
am one of those who flashed H2OS 2.5 modem and trapped in it,I recently found out that i could get back to OOS by this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/howto-revert-firmware-hydrogenos-2-5-to-t3512065
but the problem now is my imei 2 is 0 ,is there a way to get imei 2 back?
some say wait for OOS Update it will fix it, is that true?
Yes. The imei 2 is stored differently now. Use the modem or return to the oos with imei 2 as 0. Wait for OOS update. Do NOT erase modem thing for imei. You will permanently delete it if you don't have a backup.

Big big issues on lg v20

Hello,
I've bought a LG v20 h910 2 months ago. 1 Month after I rooted it succefully, i tried some roms, and I chose lineage os 14.1. But I have a major issue now: my signal data was very weak and i figured my IMEI was = 0, so I tried to flash the stock kdz. I've done it, and I've flashed stock h910r rom. But my problem is still here: I have no IMEI and my phone is acting very strange : when I boot it with lg v20 stock, my SIM card is recognized and I write the pin, but the screen stays the same, I can't access my services even if it is the right code... I also tried others rom like lineage os 15, but I can't even access the configuration menus, I get a green screen with ram dump, even with stock boot...
Is a total reset possible, or could someone give me a full TWRP recovery?
Unfortunately no, that's the problem ... I also tried xposed imei changer, but it didn't worked... Is my phone dead doctor?
Edit: I flashed another stock kdz, and the phone works fine, the only problem is the sim card (again); are my imei number and this issue linked?
Edit 2: I followed this https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/stock-att-h910-stock-recovery-boot-image-t3528060 , and now i have lte and sim detected, I think I am going to stay on this stock rom in order not to have other problems. But my imei is still 0, is this a real issue?
After several hours and dozens of applications and commands (erase modemst, qualcomm toolkit, qpst,...), I still have no solutions ... I have access to data, but it's very weak and it is only on stock rom, on lineage os 15 I want to keep, it's worst... Is there nobody who already had a problem like this? And would sharing an EFS partition could be possible on 2 different phones?
I know, It is my fault if I don't have IMEI, but I can't return my phone, the warranty was only 1 month long, and I really need 4g because of my poor internet...
Ok, sorry for the multipost, but I've finally found the solution: I tried xposed imei changer on stock rom and lineage os 14.1, but it didn't worked. I tried on lineage os 15.1, and worked like a charm ! I hope all my issues are gone and may this post help !

Tried with that method, its showing IMEI but no service in SIM slot
Tried with that method after ADB codes,
IMEI number is shown and IMEI SV is 11,
Baseband version : M8952_70030.25.03.62.02R DFLT_FSG
Still Sim card showing NO service
Its a baseband problem since the baseband ends with "DFLT_FSG". I am currently as of now trying to fix this issue and it seems I have succeeded a bit (partially).
Were you able to restore your IMEI back after trying the above link mentioned in this thread?
And a question, do you have Moto G4 (not the plus variant) with single sim??
And can you tell what variant do you have, (I am not able to recall its name) like we have XT1622, XT1642, etc.

Can you please tell whether you tried bringing your IMEI back with this this method?: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-moto-g4-plus-imei0-issue-t3859068
If, yes how many IMEIs are you able to currently see in your device? Is it one or two??
And also which device model do you have?? Mention its variant (like XT1622, XT1642) and the number of sims which it supported earlier

Yes! Using this method I got the IMEI back. But the SIM network does not appear. When I trie to make a call this apper: "turn off airplane mode to make a call" (or someting like that. I'm from Brazil and do not speek english so well).
I can see two IMEIs.
My device is XT1640, two SIM support.

@vinay lucy, you have converted your phone to Moto G4 (single sim variant).
Both of your IMEIs are restored but since your device thinks it has single sim, it just shows one IMEI.
Do not worry, there is a solution to this problem!
This was the method which worked for me, but unfortunately, my baseband got changed to LATAM, so if you are ready for it, then you may proceed.
1. Download these files and keep them in your adb directory: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1NtOTKgmJIP_Ys26CYd9KBdwhWdGfbCqH
2. Flash or boot with official TWRP for the device located here: https://dl.twrp.me/athene/twrp-3.2.1-0-athene.img.html
If you want to flash TWRP (that means to replace your current recovery with TWRP), use this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <recovery-name>.img
If you want to boot TWRP (that means be able to boot into TWRP without replacing your stock recovery), use this command:
Code:
fastboot boot <recovery-name>.img
3. Boot into TWRP, if you haven't already, connect your device to PC and type these commands:
Code:
adb push modem.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
adb push fsg.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p16
adb push hw.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p43
Note: If you are using any unofficial versions of TWRP, you will not be able to push the last file i.e hw.img as it will be stuck at 100% so use official TWRP only.
Now we have almost completed. Reboot your device and check if you are able to see IMEIs. At this point, your IMEIs and baseband will be unknown, but that doesn't matter, just check whether your device is recognizing 2 IMEIs in there or not.
Now flash the stock firmware and this time, you will be able to see both your IMEIs and baseband (you may or may not have network).
If you have got your network back, enjoy as you have your phone back to life, however if you do not have network, there is one more step.
Repeat step 2 and boot into TWRP and type this command:
Code:
adb push hw2.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p43
Once successfully pushed hw2.img, reboot and you will have your network back with both the sims working.
This will change your baseband so Volte won't work. I somehow got Volte working (I just don't know how).
If hw2.img doesn't work, try pushing hw3.img with the same commands. Good luck!
@edjalmo, after pusing hw2.img, you will still be missing your fingerprint as your device will be Moto G4 and not Moto G4 Plus, so you will have to push hw3.img to get your fingerprint back
Note: The above method which I have shown is working for Indian version of Moto G4/Plus (but now my baseband is changed to LATAM), and it may work or may not work on other versions, but you may try it. Before trying make sure that you have recovered your IMEIs by this method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-moto-g4-plus-imei0-issue-t3859068
I seriously said a couple of times to backup the EFS. But yeah, keep ignoring the warnings and someday you'll fully brick the phone.

HI i got both the sims imei now,
But im unable to get signal because the base band version is same still after flashing stock rom
Most likely you patched to the latest security patch before rooting/flashing PIE? (february security patch)
When you flashed the stock ROM it did not include the right modem because the february security patch changed the modem
I am in the process of restoring the same exact problem where adb can tell me my IMEI, but my phone shows IMEI=0
My theory is that if I backup the other Moto G4+ I have, same model number 1644.
I will just make a backup of this stock february patch after I install TWRP and then hope to install the backup onto the IMEI=0 G4+.
For you to do this you will likely have to find a backup of the 1640 on february patch stock or find someone who is willing to share the backup like you asked...
This happened on my galaxy 3 when i was just starting too and I fixed it by flashing the correct modem.
Im not sure if its just the modem or if its something else entirely so i will restore the entire backup rather than just the modem, but just to make sure this will not write any EFS info as long as Im using official TWRP? I wouldnt want 2 phones with the same EFS
I am just getting back into installing custom recovery, roms, kernels, etc on my phone so any more experienced users please let me know if I am wrong in thinking this will work.

No thats not the case. I tried this with April 2018 upate, April 2017 update and November 2016 update and the issue is on all the three firmwares. Android Pie is doing some changes with the persist partition and changing the permissions. I have made a specific thread about this issue which I too faced after reverting back to stock from Pie. Have a look at it over here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-moto-g4-plus-imei0-issue-t3859068
(P.S: I know I am posting this everywhere and in a way doing publicity so you may or may not hit the thanks button)
Now somehow i got both sims working
Thanks for suggestion. But Volte not working in JIO.
Did you try pushing hw2.img after getting both IMEIs??
Well I think it wouldn't work as the baseband has some problem. Moreover pushing hw, modem, fsg files too aren't the permenant solution and you will need to do them again if you flash stock ROM after getting signal back.
And can you tell if you noticed something different during the process other than what I mentioned?
Edit:

Alright.....now the problem is resolved........Can you tell what was the last step did you do after which you got both the sims working?
Volte won't work as there is baseband mismatch. I somehow got Volte working (I just don't know how and I am now in LATAM baseband) and when trying to replicate the process which I did to get Volte working, it didn't work this time. So I am back with system restore. I tried using an earlier efs backup (with Indian baseband) and volte doesn't work.....
I just don't know why or how, so I am now sure that there's something in fsg, oem or system partition that is making Volte to work. Can you upload your build.prop so that we can check for some differences which hopefully can make volte work.

Either way it sounds very similar to my problem because it happened when i flashed stock rom after having Arrow OS. Have you tried ls -l partition? Mine is showing as a blank so maybe i full bricked it.

As I already mentioned, I had made a guide about fixing IMEI, so read it carefully.
The guide indeed mentions about "ls -l /partition" and not "ls -l partition", so you haven't completely bricked it yet just typed in wrong command......Also make sure to type "su" to gain root access.

That's exactly what is needed. But for some people, hw.img alone didn't work so hw2.img was required.
Please attach your build.prop so that we can compare it to see what's causing Volte problem.

Moto G4 Plus SIMCARD No Signal

My Moto G4 Plus (XT1640) was on Stock Rom 7.0 everything working fine, so i got a OTA update, downloaded it and installed, at first it got bootloop so i forced it to power off (Power button and Volume minus) and rebooted it, but the Simcard doesnt get signal , only recognizes tells my sim number but no signal
I already tried everything, after the problems with the official 8.1 via OTA, i tried to downgrade to Stock Rom 7.0, unlocked bootloader , downgraded to 7.0 and it still doesnt get signal on Simcard and when i check the IMEI it was 0, so i installed TWRP and flashed Arrow OS 9.0 triyng to get IMEI and Simcard signal back, Clean flash i got my IMEI back but the Simcard doesnt get signal, recognizes but i cant do calls or use 4g keeps all the time "No Signal"
So i see installed "Stable Oreo 8.1 OPJ28.111-22" flashed it through TWRP and it is with the same problem no signal ... If anyone can help me pls message me or reply this, i need my phone to work!

With that baseband, I'd try downloading the factory firmware (do not flash) and use the programutags.bat as I mentioned in the other post. See if that repairs your device.

After i use the programutags.bat i got my signal back for some seconds and lost it another time and now it shows "Only Emergency Calls" i check my IMEI and as u can see on the screenshots, ive lost my IMEI, so i think thats because i lost my IMEI using this that my SIM isnt working, i already try my Sim in another device and it is Ok. You may have lost your baseband downgrading back to Nougat, since you mentioned you had already updated to stock Nougat.
You could either fastboot flash the Oreo firmware or try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-moto-g4-plus-imei0-issue-t3859068
That script should have reprogrammed your hw partition and set the correct parameters for your radio, so I'm not sure what's happened to your baseband.

What can i do to recover my IMEI ? I have a TWRP EFS Backup that i did on Arrow Os 9.0 with IMEI fine, but with the same problem of signal ... , I tried to flash TWRP and restore this backup,it shows sucessful but my IMEI wasnt back

I honestly do not know - your best bet is to backup your EFS using Lyuu's TWRP as recommended in the Arrow OS thread. At least you'll have a copy of your modemst1/modemst2 that hopefully will restore your signal. Then flash ArrowOS and the relevant GApps.
You may lose signal if you revert back to stock firmware.

Again, it's up to you. ElementalX is a good kernel, though it really depends on what you want from your device. If you want stability, then the stock ROM and ElementalX (or flashing the stock Oreo firmware and then ElementalX/loony) are your choices. If you want more customisation, then Arrow OS or another custom ROM are your options. It really is up to you.
