Hello! Recently i've tried to update my vns-l21 to nougat. Flashed the b328 firmware (i know it's buggy as hell). Phone booted. OS was running etc. but model was like generic...something. So I tried to flash the b336 firmware and then phone said "f**k you!". Now I cannot flash vendor, verision and product. It says "command not allowed". All other files from UPDATE.app flashed flawlessly. In twrp those partitions have size of 0.0 mb. Any idea how to repair it? Maybe formating trough fastboot can help but I have no idea how big the partitions should be.
Hi, he's still starting on nougat.

I know. I just want to repair these partitions to boot anything but now it boot after flashing anything. No matter what i'm trying to do, it stays in bootloop. I think it is caused by broken 3 partitions i mentioned before but i have no idea how to repair it. I've tried flasging oeminfo - not working, still saying the version is not campatible...
EDIT: Yes! Finally I've made this s**t work again! Firstly I Copied the b160 .app file to dload folder on sd. Secondly flshed c432oeminfo trough adb sideload and SYSTEM, BOOT and RECOVERY from b329 .app trough fastboot. then vol+, vol-, power and viola, phone returned to MM and works perfectly
that's it , I already had this problem, when twrp said cust 0 mb internal storage omb.
It shows storage sd?

Therefore, you will be returned to MM
B328 AND B329 ended up, trash need not.
Installs direct b336.zip and b336 data full.zip and everything is ok

Do you have TWRP? If yes then wipe everything and flash all the images again.
There are two ways to install a custom ROM (via fastboot or custom recovery) can you specify which rom do you want to install?
please help, i have no os
Same here, NO OS, Meticulus TWRP doesn't work... Only RevolutionRecovery works... Can we do something? @BadWolfYe @Meticulus sorry for bothering you guys but nothing seems to work and a lot of people bricked their device, I tried extracting .IMGs and even 3 button method and nothing works... And I can't find my warranty certificate.
You can do something....
Have you tried to get the OEMINFO coresponding to your phone model, region and version?
If no, ask someone to send their oeminfo and restore it. Done!

it doesnt flash in twrp, as its missing a meta-info file i think.
do you need to add files / compile it to run from recovery?
the p9 oeminfo is different when i downloaded it and has a "metainfo" file..
any ideas? as i need to do this too haha

You have to restore it, not to flash it.
Flash oeminfo from htcmania guide (volver de nougat a mm), somehow that .zip file is flashable even in revolution recovery (which lacks /data mount support), then place the corresponding update.app file in a folder called dload in the SD (create it) then 3 buttons method.
Plus, DO NOT mess with the nougat update, it is not worth it, nor any custom firmware available at the moment. Just wait a little bit more.

the problem it's not data mount as i mounted it but when i flash everything it says : mount product failed mount vendor failed and mount version failed
Is there anything we can do? I am in the exact same situation as @diorenzo.
Mount /product /vendor /version fails
Stuck with Revolution Recovery, no other recovery boots
NO OS
I can't find anything that works, tried to dload Europe versions, Middle East versions, nothing works. Tried to flash in fastboot .imgs with no success... Literally nothing works. The only choice I have is to sell it for parts.
Got the same problem
Now im trying to reinstall Nougat, because nothing works.
/product
/vendor
/version
IDK why this happens.

Somehow my carrier accepted the phone and now it is sent to repairs... I would suggest you do the same. Warranties are the best.
Have you tried flashing with the 3 buttons and vns-lXX oeminfo?
I think that should work, I didnt try it because i lost my SD
I had to forcibly "corrupt" my internal storage to resolve this. I flashed Revolution recovery, formatted the /data/ partition as F2FS then flashed stock recovery. I then rebooted to STOCK recovery. I then received a prompt saying my data partition was corrupted and would need to be formatted. I was then able to flash b336 in Revolution recovery.
I have the same problem in my huawei gr5 mini.It has no os installed and when i try to flash a rom it says
-Failed to mount '/product' (Invalid Argument)
-Failed to mount '/vendor' (Invalid Argument)
-Failed to mount '/version' (Invalid Argument)
Help plz

Hi guys i have a problem with my P9 Lite so i'll cut to the chase:
I installed Resurrection Remix and everything was fine. I decided to restore the dump and TWRP backup that i made of stock before hand because meh i could.
Now when i open TWRP and press the Backup button the /data partion doesn't show up. I press the "3 horizontal line" button and right on the top it says: "Failed to mount '/data' (Mounted without encryption...)"
I tried restoring the dump and TWRP backup again and it did not get fixed. I Factory reset the phone and it does not fix it. I format data and it does not fix it. I tried different formats like FAT, EXT4 and exFAT but it still does not get fixed. I tried factory reset from within the phone's settings menu and still does not get fixed.
Nothing is wrong with the phone, it's not bricked, but i cant install any ROM (like Meticulus' CM 13 for example) anymore as i get "ERROR 7" and neither can i mount or make TWRP backup of /data.
I must've screwed up along the way of installing Resurrection Remix and now i don't really know what to do about it. Pls help :crying:

You just screw up your phone...
Backup from twrp works, but at restore appears problems because of encryption of data partition...
Reparation works in that way: have prepared in dload folder a B130 stock firmware, flash oeminfo, phone get corrupted
and need a low level reset (with the help of emui and dload folder). After that your phone should be clean and via 3 key combination start fresh setup.

Firmware---> i have VNS-L31C02B123
Bootloader---> unlocked
Twrp---> works fine except for that "unable to mount data" error from above
Root---> Root enable, SuperSu works

Yes, step 4 could be done in twrp if you have oeminfo flashable zip. I do it with a tool from arround here (in fact i do with that tool all: unlock, twrp, root, debrand etc).
Step 5 is ok to do it like you said.

In that case the plan would be to simply download the B895 or B896 update. If your device is single SIM, something I think it is, download B895, if not, B896. I cant put links because I'm a new user, but you can search for the files in androidfilehost.com
Then, extract the update.zip, and if you have stock recovery, put the extracted UPDATE.APP in a folder called "dload" in your internal memory/SD card, and reboot reboot your phone by pressing the Vol+/- and Power buttons(It should begin the installation). If you have TWRP installed, you can just flash it normally.
I think that is all! I've heard that doing this can encrypt your memory, but that can easily be solved with TWRP by wiping the data partition, next to the Factory Reset button. If you have any questions, fell free to ask.

Yeah it started encrytpting but because I am a epic (not really) I restarted the phone that moment and messed up some things, so it wanned me to do a factory reset from the stock recovery an I accepted, next I booted into the system with all the preinstalled apps in /data missing, so that meant no file manager but I had google play so I installed es file manager, and no systen files were currupted (I forgot to mention upper while flashing the update I got some unknown command error) so after that I needed to flash twrp because its replaced by stock, I did this and what I saw, it cant mount /data, the fix for this is to make the /data partition FAT and after that EX4, and I rebooted but it cannot read it?! So the system did a factory reset and made twrp again cant mount partition, so there was no other way than flashing a custom rom so I did this with /data (make it fat and es4 again) and did a full wipe, after that installed lineageOS 14 for my phone and here ends the story. Thank you for all the help
Unlocked Mediapad M3 wifi 713, damaged file system showing 0 storage, managed to get TWRP installed via fastboot, but TWRP is unable to change/repair any partition. I've tried to use "fastboot format:ext4 userdata" but I get the "remote: command not allowed" error.
Is there some way to use fastboot commands? Or some terminal command from TWRP?
thanks, jf
Bro have you unlocked the bootloader and it would be very helpfull to know how you corrupted the data partion,it could be solved maybe if you enter the second recovery (erecovery) and click on download lastest firmware install or so , then after its done with the installition it will probably not boot click power and volume down wait, do it some times until you get to the bootloader and unlock it, after factory reset it should boot but first explain a little more about your issue we dont want to srew your device up

Not sure how things got corrupted, had installed Linage on it, but was not able to download files from any installed program. Reinstalled Linage and it blew up. Erecovery fails to download anything, don't know why. I followed the instructions here https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/help/format-data-using-twrp-3-0-2-t3371137 to format all partitions, and still TWRP only sees 0 space, can't do anything with it..
In short - can't see how anything could screw it up more!
which version of twrp is currently installed and normally for format matters only data partition is used, have you formated the system partition too,
maybe we can try to force install the update zip / you were on nougat then lineage oreo and then in the current state right?

TWRP is 3.0.3-0 It is failing to mount /data (Invalid argument) nor can it mount any other partition.
Yes, was on stock nougat, then Linage oreo, then reinstalled Linage and got current state.
When I try to install zip from PC, it appears to be successful - but apparently is not.

I'm having the same issue basically storage is off limits to my apps.
The developer of the Linux 15 ROM is aware of the issue, it's on the list to be fixed.
