[Q] help needed in handset app

i need help ,i want to do group text messaging and m not able to make groups using handset app
plz help

any one plzz...............................................

I don't know if I'm correct but I think you are talking about sending group messages. If I'm right then follow the steps-
just download handcent app from the market and go to batch mode and you will be able to select whom you want to send message or when you start a new message there is a + option that lets you send same message to multiple people.

when i open my Facebook chat and send message for my friend, i did not see in the end of message this <<< message sent from my city>>> , in android when i sent message for my freind i see this " message sent from Roma "
i have Samsung Omnia W 7.8 Interop unlock .

i went to Setting but i did not find GPS , i found just " location service " i did enable but the same problem when i send message

I don't really have Samsung devices are you running a custom rom? and have you tried basics deleting the app rebooting phone and reinstalling? and have you looked at the location settings in the facebook app it's self? and does your location settings work on anything else like twitter or google maps or anything else at all?

Yes I tried All, but nothing change

Maybe try going back to a previous rom or something?

try scan folders G1076 g104, G1064 g104, G1301 g104, G1124 g104, that's all known folders for your device

Enable Google assistant on redme note 4

Enable google assistant on rn4 on marshmallow version . Just do the following steps
1. First Go to settings »Accounts » Google
2. Then click on the 3 dot option on the top right »
Then select the "help & feedback"» then again select the 3 dot menu in the new page » select "view in google play store"
3. After opening the playstore join the beta program of the google play sevice app by scrolling to the end of the page
4. Then search google app on play store and join the beta program again.
5. Wait for one hour to get the beta update.
6. After getting the beta update . Update the app
7. Then Go to Settings » app manager» choose "google app" and clear the data
8. Again go to the settings and » go to additional settings » select "language & input" » and change the language to" English united states".
9 . All set
Try to open the Google app using the home key longpress .
You will see google assistant .
Thats all buddies have fun .
If it workz hit THANKS

Long press on home gets me the screen with icons for ATMs, restaurants, etc.
Does not start any "conversations" as one can get to from Allo.

For me it works after exactly following your instructions. Thanks!

Change your default home longpress app to google
Do the same steps
Don't forget to clear data of the google app.
It will work . Sure :good:

doesn't work on AEX

Mine still does not work on home-press. Still need to run using Allo.
Did all the betas, deleted their data, etc.

Google assistant activates on my phone by long pressing home key, but whenever I give it some command like set an alarm, set timer etc. it says 'Can't perform this function while device is locked, unlock device to do this', although my phone is unlocked. I'm using MIUI Global Stable v8.2.4.0. Is there any solution to this?

People who are having problems, plz do like below
Settings - installed apps - default - assist and voiceinput - assist app change the settings and langauge to English us

It is a problem with the beta version i am facing it too.
But sometimes it accept my commands but sometimes not

In RR install the gapps micro I have just did that google assistant is inbuilt in this ROM
Else u can download the Google assistant enabler from
Magisk downloads

unable use GCM on Huawei Mate 9 China version

I am using Huawei Mate 9 China version (MHA-AL00), I installed Microsoft outlook/yammer/skype/skype for business on my phone which is running on android 7 .
I understand GCM may works on VPN connection and installed full google framework . I did all of them and download mentioned APP from Google play, but unfortunately I am not getting the notification from my phone if I am not open the APP and I was checked Google Log by type *#*#436#*#*, I found I can receive broadcast.
I try to contact Huawei 400 and they advice me to upgrade OS to android 8, but issue still exist.
so I am afraid is there have any restricted on phone or not ?
or any good idea ?

Open phone manger, change the app permission, change the settings for these apps to manually control, then select allow autolaunch and allow run in background.

Did you upgrade to EMUI 8? You need to upgrade to EMUI 8 first. I tried whatsapp before, which worked well with this setting.

Yes I did.
But still same issue. Any configuration?
No matter I connect VPN or not , issue still happen.

C636 doesn't supported VOLTE which I rebranded before. This is why I want to know how GMC works on AL00
