Hi Guy's.
I want to change the default Governor on my S7/E.
Is it possible to Root my Phone, change the Governor and let the change stick after unroot ?
I need the unroot cause the game I play is really picky with root.
So a rooted phone can lead to a Ban.
Is there a way to realize this ?
Thank You !

Hi,
This may sound repetitive but I think it is important for me to put this issue up.
Ever since I upgraded my Yureka to Lollipop, my phone seems to have lost a major chunk of it's performing speed. Low performance level games like Subway Surfer, Temple Run 2 etc. which used to run flawlessly before the upgrade now are all laggy and heat the phone up like crazy. My phone used to heat up only after playing games like Asphalt 8 before the upgrade, but even then the game never lagged. Now all games heat the phone up and lag after a minute or so of playing. The phone heats up even on stand by. I don't want to get back to CM11 but I am starting to think I don't have a choice.
Is there anything at all that you people can suggest for this? I'm desperately looking for a fix. I have not rooted the phone, ever. Suggest if anything can be done without rooting the device.
There are some major issues with stock CM12... U got to deal with it or have the choice to downgrade to KK But my suggestion would be to root the device & install Resurrection Remix Rom which is 5.1.1 & it seems to have ignorable bugs... U can try performance oriented kernel to get the max perfomance & there are a handful out there which are 5.1.1 compatable...
(Rooting doesn't void ur warranty, then why u prefer not to root? )
Just looking for options without having to root

Thanks for your reply, actually I wanted a permanent fix to this issue and if possible without the root, it would have been better. Is there no other possibility?
Well this is permanent fix. I am also using Resurrection rom with Sandy's kernel and everything is fine. No lags, no overheating, and charging time has also reduced.
Want to install Resurrection ROM

Hi guys,
Odd question here, but I'm running OnTheEdgeLite 3.3 ROM, but have no real need for root. As such I'm wondering if there is a way to unroot this ROM to work with Android Pay.
I have done the full uninstall of SuperSU and it still comes up with the error saying it can't validate the operating system on my device - is this because it is a custom ROM, or is there a way to get around this?
Thanks in advance.
Safety Net checks for custom rom as well as root. People have gotten different things to work at various points but Google always updates to fix those exploits.
I was afraid that might be the answer...
Hi! I have a little problem that I can't understand. When I flash on my Moto X style anyone ROM of nougat, at two days of install, the device restart and keep the screen on logo, and never on. It's a problem that only have with nougat, and I try a lot of roms. The only exception was validous, but it restarts several times a day and the camera works bad. Can someone help me? Thank you!
All custom nougats have problems with interactive cpu governor.
After flashing any custom you should install kernel adiutor(play store) and change both governors to any other(impulse f.e.).

Thank you for the help!
Hi, I have a rooted verizon galaxy s7 (g930v) and i flashed some rom from here that a user uploaded that gives me the s8 icons and some other fancy stuff without too much affecting stock.
I read about getting a different kernel would allow the cpu frequencies and such to be more in your control, and I was wondering how i can go about getting a custom kernel.
The only problem here is, Almost every tut i've seen requires TWRP, and the last time i tried to install it, when i went into recovery booting, i would get in a bootloop, and i last heard it wasnt supported for the s7 anyway.
So I guess my question is, can someone link me a compatible version of twrp (if there even is any for the US variant on verizon), tell me how to install it, and please let me know with a link to a custom kernel that should work on my verizon galaxy s7?, with instructions on how to get it in my system? (I've read everywhere sorry for being a noob with kernels.)
I really wanna work on this and it's been driving me nuts! I would really appreciate any and all help i can get on this matter.
Thank you.

The bootloader on the Verizon S7 is locked. I believe with a locked bootloader you cannot load TWRP or a custom kernel. You are basically stuck with variations of the stock Verizon ROM with the stock kernel.

Damn, well in that case could you answer me this: I want to improve the performance of my phone without losing battery, I know tweaking the cpu and things of that sort could help, but in your personal opinion what would be the best way of controlling such things and their values? I've tried LSpeed, didn't really help, I used kernel adiutor, but one thing i noticed is that i think my system has its own cpu managing techniques, because if i went into kernel adiutor, set the min to 307, when i move my finger it shoots up to 900 then back down, in other people's videos of kernel adiutor i don't see that, any idea on what that's about?
I assume it's something in my system that's making my cpu do that, and i think that's why im not getting the snappy performance I crave. Any ideas?
Appreciate the help btw

Without a custom kernel, you can't tweak the CPU. Can't have a custom kernel on the S7 because of the locked bootloader. So there you go. I haven't tried messing with anything to improve the performance of my S7, so sorry I'm no help to you there.
What should I do after I purchase a S8 to disable ALL posible privacy issues?
For example, when turning the phone on for the first time opt out of anny non-requierd Google policy/programs/disclaimers/eulas
What shoud I do next?
Disable ridiculus permissons? for example a SMS program that needs camera and microphone?
What other steps I should do in Your opinion?
BTW The phone has Android 8.0, no root, stock rom. I dont want to root or custom rom the phone.
