Hey
I just flashed my note 3 to android 5.0 with Odin, and if I would boot it up it the Samsung logo would freeze and then the phone would restart in a weird way- the screen flashes and phone vibrates a couple of times. I wiped data and cache but then it would get stuck at "Android is upgrading", everytime it got stuck at upgrading certain number of apps (like 32 out of 190) and at that point I would take out the battery. After this I boot up the phone and now the number of apps that needed to be upgraded were decreasing so I repeat the process of taking the battery out until I get it to boot up. So finally the phone boots up and I start setting it up and the "S health has stopped working" pops up and after a short time the phone freezes and restarts in a same way I mentioned above.
Does anybody know a solution for that? Phone works fine when I flash it to 4.4.2.

No I didn't, can this be the cause of the problem? If so what kind of modem and bootloader do I have to install?
It might be best to start over by flashing the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com via Odin.

I've tried it already. Flashed a stock rom via odin and even through kies, didn't work... Flashing new modem and bootloader doesn't seem to work either.
Were you able to successfully flash the latest stock ROM successfully or did it fail in Odin?

Is that firmware does not work ??
Are you sure you are flashing the firmware for your model ??
have you upgraded with no apps installed as it could be an app that's the problem .

You're using the latest stock ROM from sammobile? Performed a factory wipe before booting the stock ROM for the first time? Tried flashing with a pit file?

Are you plugged directly into a USB port, not a hub, Pc Usb only, it can make a difference, also check ya dont have Kies installed, this can also be a nuisance, AND IF you use a pit file, make sure you use the right one, Quite often phones become unflashable and report errors after an incorrect pit was used.

Hey guys,
I flashed back to stock with ODIN. Everything passes. But when the phone reboots it comes up with Samsung custom logo and seems to get stuck there? Any ideas?
EDIT: this is the ATT I337, I have flashed with ODIN before and it worked out fine. I am doing everything I normally did.

I waited like 3 minutes or so. But it never passes the custom Samsung screen at boot. Maybe I need to give it more time? I flashed Loki and I installed slimbean. Slimbean was a little buggy as it is still in beta so I went to restore my recovery. My recovery was missing from TWRP so I tried flashing back to stock odin to start over from square one.
I am using ODIN 3.07 on a PC running Windows 8. If I find out that all i have to do is wait longer I am gonna feel like an idiot lol.

Initial boots can be long but I don't know about more than 3 minutes? Not really sure about what happens if you ODiN back after TWRP? I'll let more technical folks take a stab at it. It can't hurt to wait though.
Well I don't know what was ailing the odin flash, but I just used Kies emergency recovery and all is fine now. Weird... Appreciate your help.

This was my first time ever using KIES recovery. As far as I could tell everything is wiped. I did a factory reset afterwards just to be safe so I can't say with 100% certainty. I had the custom logo after reboot for 10 seconds, then after a manual reboot it boots regularly without the custom logo.
Help...
I had a working phone with 3.0 golden eye.
I had installed Hide it Pro and File Hide it.
I was able to use the File Hide it but after reboot, the screen got stock at Samsung S4 Logo screen and I tried to restore and was TWRP says restored but during reboot it will get stock still at the Samsung S4 logo.
Now, I am trying desperately how to even just make it work.
I remember last time I had installed Hide It Pro and it also got my older phone get stock in the same situation and had used a different ROM.
this is the 2nd phone that is stock after installing Hide It Pro.
Any suggestions on how to revive my phone?
I am currently downloading the stock "I337UCUAMDB_I337ATTAMDB_ATT.zip" and will try to Odin it.
I am looking to use the later UCUADML stock rom.
Thank you.

Actually have you tried a factory reset yet? I would try that first before Odin.
That will work, make sure after you odin, you do a factory reset, or you will still see the same issue, odin does NOT do a factory reset.
Good luck.
head over to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares. you'll have to register as a user but they have the MDL firmware you are looking for.

You are right. I did a factory reset first, did not work so my last resort was ODIN.
I did ODIN and I was able to see the apps and play with it. after reboot, got stock again at Samsung Galaxy S4 logo.
I wil ODIN again and after reboot in the phone, I will do a factory reset since I believe the phone is non-rooted at this point.
I will post back what happens.
Thanks.

It's getting frustrating.
I had ODIN my phone, reboot and factory reset by using the vol up+power+home.
stock was fine.
rooted the phone and installed SHOstock 2.0 by wiping all including format data.
at first reboot, gets stock on the samsung logo...
what else can I do to fix this even if i had already rolled it back to stock/factory reset?
Thank you.

I had ODIN it again.
After reset/reboot, since it is connected to my pc the invisible batter in the background appears and does nothing after the ATT logo with sounds came out.
disconnected from pc and tried to reboot. it will only show the logo during power button push, release the power button and the logo disappears and dies.

because you must use a kernel for your device...PERIOD! If you do not, you will hang at boot.
After installing my ROM and the GApps, cache was wiped and wiped successfully but then TWM froze, I can't get back into recovery because it freezes on the TeamWin splash screen and I also can't boot into the ROM because it looks like it didn't go through successfully. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
Actually resolved the recovery mode issue, but for some reason no matter what I cannot get the ROM to boot any longer. Gets to the loading screen, freezes for a sec after a minute and reboots.

I don't. But I get stock firmware from sammobile.com
So I rooted my phone months ago, found a KK ROM I was happy with and never had any issues, until last night.
My battery died. When I went to plug it in and power it on, it went to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen with the pad lock unlocked on it. I then noticed on the top right it said recovery booting. I figured no biggie, I'd let it boot to recovery and then reboot. Well it never got into recovery, and restarted, yielding the same results after a restart. So basically, my phone is on for about 5 seconds, then shuts off and tries again.
I tried to pull the battery and left it out over night. This morning I pushed the recovery button sequence to make sure the power was completely drained then reinserted the battery. As soon as I put the battery in, it starts to boot, shows booting recovery, then loops. I tried plugging in to my PC to see what happened and that didn't help. Is my phone screwed or what should I do to try to fix this?

I am thinking I want to try out JasmineROM 2.4 out. Do I need to flash the unified KK firmware in ODIN prior to install? I tried flashing without doing this and it just fails immediately. I see that the unified KK firmware is there so I was just wondering. Also, when I flash that, do I just do it in ODIN in the PDA box, same as I flashed the nc4 firmware yesterday? Thanks for your help, fellow Iowan!
I had this happen recently. I had to go back to a complete stock NC4 stock 4.4.2 and reroot and go from there. I used a newer version of Odin though.
Hey wassup. So yesterday I rooted my phone and tried to install CM13 on it. Took a few tries since the rom I got was corrupted but I got it to work. Then I noticed it was guzzling the battery like lemonade (this EXACT same thing happened on my previous S4 too) so I gave up on it and decided to revert back to the stock rom. Everything went well... NOT. I downloaded the stock firmware (3gigs... zzz) and I flashed it with Odin and the phone restarted. The little android robot from the default unrooted recovery popped up and it had below it this: "Installing system update..." and then out of the blue it said "Erasing" and it's gear started rotating backwards. THEN, when it finished the normal Samsung Galaxy Note 4 logo popped up, went away and then CAME BACK AGAIN FOR LIKE 500 TIMES AND COUNTING. AOSP roms work just fine, it's just that touchwiz ones won't work whatsoever (even tried sixperience, no luck)... What should I do? I already lost my S4 due to this...

this never happened to me with my old s2 or s4
why is it happening now ?
Didn't backup. Now it just won't even work with odin. Whenever I try to just flash anything with it goes off and says 0 successes and 0 fails. What I did notice though was that whenever I installed a stock rom it starts this "Installing system update" with the android robot twingling it's antennaes and then out of nowhere it's blue bar goes away and it says "Erasing" then... bootloop. Now odin won't even work (explained above). Should I just give up and send it in for repairing? Or can ANYONE send me the twrp restore file, please...

Hi
Same problem
Any ideas !!!
Hey,
I have the same problem it turns out after flashing, i cant remember, maybe dytto note 4 rom, it got stuck in continous bootloops and the only way it is working for me is when its charging. I know it sounds crazy but its the only way for me, ive tried installing stock different countries firmware and bunch of custom rom with no luck. I sent it to the place where i bought the phone and made myself look dumb asking why it is like that and i told them i had not do anything. After only a week they phoned me and said it was rooted (i did get the root out when i gave it but they somehow knew it was... later i understood that it is all about that stupid Know thing) and refused to cover my warranty. They said that the only way i can get it to work is to pay 300$ for new chip :,(

ffs i'm not paying another phone's worth in a ****ing motherboard. I tried:
-Flashing the stock bootloader, fails at sboot.img:NAND Write start fail
-Flashing the PIT file, just... wont flash. Successes 0/Fails 0
-Flashing the stock AP file, bootloop
-Flashing the CP and the CSC stock files, serial(com) port cannot be opened.
****ing garbage. For some reason my phone's the only exception to the rule that phones able to boot into download mode are salvageable. It's going in for a repair and if it's more than $50 I'm not rooting again even at gunpoint.
Quick update:
I found a toolkit that has a flash stock boot image option. Had to recover to my cm13 backup to enable usb debugging. Will post results
Nothing of course...
try this step by step,
1. Download stock firmware THE LATEST ONE (n910c v5.1.1) from sammobile.com
2. Download newest Odin and Samsung USB; installed Samsung USB
3. I am assuming you have installed twrp recovery. Boot to twrp recovery and do a full wipe; wipe all!
4. Boot to downloading mode and install stock via odin. That is it.
Ps.... in case of failure, make sure you have installed Samsung USB! Or just reconnect usb cable with other usb ports untill it is working.
Never flach cm if doesn'T HAVE a efs backup if not you will stuck with cm

Oh that's nothing man. The fuqing scammers told me the whole freaking board had to be replaced...
There's one thing I've noticed though that's PROBABLY gotta be the culprit. Whenever I install a touchwiz rom, the phone boots up fine for once, shows the robot with the "Installing system update" and then it goes off with "Erasing" followed by the bootloop. Could anyone please elaborate on this? I have a feeling this is what's causing this ****fest
