hey, im with my galaxy s1900i and iget WiFi problems with my
miui.
the problem is "out of range" at my home
and its doing Searching->connecting->disconect. from time to time
he conected but with low signel.
when im on Gingerbread with modem "JP8" idont get this problem and
ive tried some others modem but the end result is the same.
someone know how to fix that?
someone? can help?
someone? can help?
Yep,it seems that MIUI has a very weak signal stregth.I got the same problem here,i m curently trying to find a way to flash another modem in this fantastic rom.
I had same problem with the wifi. My problem was solved after I flashed another kernel. I have flashed speedmod-kernel-k13c-500hz-CWM.zip . I have tried the version for ODIN but no luck, phone was stuck on boot screen.
Depending on which version are you try neo_8v2 kernel. I think the last one is the default version for 7.7.
I'm also having this type of problem with wifi, but even new kernel neo_9 didnt help.
any ideas?

It finds the WiFi on one firmware but not that other?
could just be one is slightly buggy, Or there is a very small possibility that there could lay a hardware problem (more than likely not though) - try and keep on the MJ7 fw if you can, as for rooting and having the issue. It certainly seems strange. - Assume you have tripped your KNOX ? Try stock flash via ODIN and then try and see if you can root it again, if you haven't tripped KNOX already then it will trip it so be careful.

OK, if you have upgraded already (which you have) to MJ7 you won't be able to downgrade back to MJ1, MJ7 carries a new bootloader and Samsung have blocked downgrades. - Go on to sammobile.com and find the stock firmware you need with the CSC you require. - Flash the stock firmware you need to the device with ODIN, then once you have done that check your WiFi to see if it works or not, then root the phone as you normally would and see if it still works. It seems like it's just a small bug with the software.

XSP -CSC and N9005XXUDMJ7 is the stock firmware you require on your device? -- I'm not sure what the issue could be, as it is only happening sometimes and not all the time, so that rules out HW and a list of other things. I'd put it down to buggy software. Go with the firmware that worked, that is the safest option currently until you/we can figure out what the issue is.
if you're rooted, maybe you can try this, mine n900 works fine

Do not mess around with PIT files and re-partitioning unless you know exactly what you are doing and what each file will do.. cause you will end up with a nice paperweight.
Factory reset, wipe cache and boot into stock and see what happens.
hi, thank's for all your answer. This Note 3 will make me crazy. At this time, i decide to try to rooted and add Wifix manager, and try to change wifi region, when i do that, for moments recognize my wifi, but at the moment don't recognize, which region code i have to use in USA ?? or help to find a solution thank's
i think my problem is similar to this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368501
how i can solve this in Note3 ?
i have find more information and maybe the solution, when i use the Note3 without sim the WIFI works perfect, and when i use with SIN don't work, i really need some help with that
I recently restored stock rom on my Samsung galaxy s4 GT-i9505 from cm11. After that, the wifi just will not turn on at all. I will get a notice when i try to turn it on. I cannot upload a screenshot of the notice i get, it says "Security notice Your device's security has blocked an action that is not permitted. No further action is required."
Please help me solve this issue if it is possible. I really hope i have not screwed up my phone :crying: Any form of help will be greatly appreciated.
Edit: I got it to work already. i guess i flashed the wrong rom on my phone. i would like to thank @samersh72 's guide and link to stock roms that helped me solve my problem
Would love to know what firmware you used, no matter what I do it does not work, have flashed multiple roms.
I removed knox and it took some of the wifi with it on I9505XXUFNB9, I can reconnect to wireless networks but the passwords wont hold. On newer roms it just doesnt work even without a rooted kernel.
Edit: Got it working too, although cf-root to thank.Phew.
Hello All,
I have a small problem. if anyone can help me out please help.
Recently I cracked my screen and hence went to a local shop to get it replaced. Once replaced my phone was not booting. I thought it maybe a software issue. Later I realized this happens due to hardware and maybe some connection is not made, like the headphone jack.
I opened my nexus and checked. Turns out that guy dropped my light sensor which is close to the front camera. There is no light sensor now in the phone. I cannot go back to him.
Can anyone please suggest me some ROM which skips this hardware test? or any other solution please?
From what i remember, proximity sensor causes such issue on Nexus 4. The solution was to downgrade modem to the very first one (from 4.2.2 factory image) and then flash either 4.2.2 or 4.3 stock firmware. Switching modem to a newer one causes bootloop on 4.3 and up. Try this, then it's possible that some more current custom ROM will work with an old modem as well, but that's something you'll have to check on your own.
THANK YOU!
Sir,
Thanks A LOT!
I cannot thank you enough. I have search everywhere, and your solution worked. I installed 4..2.2 radio then pre rooted factory image. Worked like charm
I am really grateful. Thank you.

Try installing a custom ROM, and see if the problem persists. If it persists than its a hardware problem. Is your current rom stock and from sammobile?
