Camera not focus. Double image - Zuk Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! I have NucleRom installed, I tried to record a video at 4K. Now after that my camera is not focusing and I can hear a weird noise (but physical noise near the lens) as I start the camera app. Do you know any way to solve it?. I´ve already tried reinstalling the rom but it doesn´t work
Thanks so much,

The noise is from the autofocus. But if it persists after flashing stock rom, it's seems to be a hardware failure.
Did you try another camera app?

Thanks for your quick reply. I have already read the threads that you have recomended, but I think that it is not the same problem. The noise is pretty loud and crispy... I have tried 3 camera apps and nothing...
Maybe it´s hardware failure.

[Q] problem camera focus

Hi, I have a problem with the focus of the camera. Trying to zoom while recording video the camera don't focus. Everything ok, however, when I take a picture.
Does anyone experience the same issue?

Auto focus is more intended for still shots... Canon makes a dslr camera that has a video auto focus feature, and it dont work all that well. Reasoning is auto focus is meant to clarify a shot, a single still shot, it can help in a video but very hard because of constant motion, especially when zooming in digitally.
I have not installed any recovery and to use xcam I need to make a backup nandriod.
I tried 2 other devices and have the same problem.
Are there other alternatives to xcam?
no matter how many cam mods you installs this problem still exists for G2, no solution yet

[Q] [D802] camera strange sounds when opening or closing

Issue: clicky sound when opening or closing every single camera app in every ROM I flashed.
I've been on stock, Cloudyg2 2.2 and now on CM12.
Is anyone having the same issue?
I know this isn't relevant for the camera to work but I hope this won't break the camera.
Is anyone having the same problem?
Is there any solution?
Is there any risk of breaking the camera?
Thanks in advance to whoever will reply.
Well, this should be normal, i also hear it sometimes, but rarely in most cases.
The sound you hear is the lens moving from farest to nearest focal point so it can do the autofocus, if your camera works normal, and if the autofocus works normal you should not be worried.

Microphone recording problems

Hi,
a friend of mine has a A1 that has a terrible problem with the microphone. In every audio recording, from video recording to calls, there is a terribile rattling noise.
I have attached a sample audio file, to make the problem more clear.
We have already tried to factory reset the phone (with miflash)
We have already tired to root the phone and change build.prop (ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=none/fluence)
But the problem still persist.
Any idea/help?
Thks
You have right, it is terrible! I guess that a problem is not software. Its look like a problem with hardware.

I don't think that the mic is broken. Every time I factory reset the phone, audio recording works for 3/4 times.... and then the terrible noise begins... I think its something related to video recording.
did you find a fix?

weird video camera malfunction ze552kl

If camera directed down and record video,it can`t focus on distant objects. For exemple, if camera directed straight down and focus set on infinity, in reality focus on 0.4m.
It is happened always only during video recording, or with non asus camera apps .Asus camera make photo with no malfunction.
I don`t know when it started, or it was what way at the beginning.
Can somebody confirm, that others ze552kl don`t have such malfunction?

Its normal. Mine did that too. Its because the camera autofocus mechanism snapped out. You can make the same noise by adjusting focus from 0 to 100 very quickly.

As far as I know, people aren't complaining a single thing about the camera.
But first. Have you tried updating your phone?. If you have updated MIUI but the problem still exist, I recommend to do factory reset if you don't mind. However, I can't guarantee this will fix your problem. If the problem still persist, you can claim the warranty so you can get a replacement unit, as your current unit might be faulty.
Happens to me as well.
I just bought mine and I thought it was damaged or something, because I'm facing the dame soundtrack with mine, but I guess is not the case.
