While trying to flash my Boost Galaxy S4 from the latest Cyanogenmod Nightly, back to the Stock firmware that I found here Odin will stop and say something along the lines of 'FAIL! (Auth) aboot.mbn'
I have no Idea how to get back to stock firmware now, Cyanogenmod doesnt seem to go back while reinstalling it with TWRP and I cant remember my Baseband version

That firmware is really old, it won't let you install firmware older than what you're on. Download the latest from www.sammobile.com.

I just used Odin to flash the Semaphore_2.5.0 Kernel to my Device which was running bog standard Android 2.2.1 (Firmware Version I9000XWJS5|2.2.1|2011 January|).
The Odin flash went succesfully but I'm now stuck in a bootloop, CWM will not open using the 3 button combo.
I have repeatedly tried to flash the kernel through Odin But I'm having the same problem.
I'm trying to root the phone in order to install CWM and begin flashing the ICS ROMs. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've got all the necesarry components, the phone detected. All the components are Valid but the program hangs, It's been in this state for the past ten minutes.

Would it be safe for me to Close Odin3 and restart the process?
Thanks
I Rebooted my PC Started the process again and Viola' Upgrading to ICS as I'm typing this.
Semaphore 2.5.0 is a Gingerbread 2.3.x kernel, not a Froyo Kernel.
It's not compatible with Android 2.2.1.
That makes sense (*That would be funny if this was a HTC)
+1
I am running 4.4.2 on SPHL-720 (Samsung galaxy S4 (sprint) and just received a notice that a system update has been downloaded. I have not installed it yet. Could this be the 4.4.3 update?
I think it's NG2 modem update
I'm running sacs older version 4.4.2 version 2 I think with the nae modem. Has anyone tried the update? Will this break root? What's the benefits? I've searched and found nothing.

Look like I lost root. I need to re root my phone. If anyone has idea let me know
I found the downloaded zip on my phone and it is the NGA update. However it will not install on my rooted NAE phone. The recovery mode install fails.
A) You cannot accept an OTA while rooted. It will not install unless your device is bone stock.
B) Please learn to use the search function. This update has been out for over 2 weeks and there are 4 threads on it that will answer any questions you may have about it.
Hey guys i recently updated my s4 to the new OTA lollipop and it came with so many issues that it basically rendered my phone useless. I looked at the baseband version and it says "L720VPUFNG2," when I looked up the update version on google it comes up as "L720VPUGOD2."
Just curious what the difference is between the two. I am hoping that maybe the OD2 version would solve my issues with the phone. Otherwise I will be downgrading for now.

OD2 is Lollipop, NG2 is KitKat, and because the baseband is still NG2 I am guessing something went wrong with the update. I would Odin the OD2 tar. By the way, DON'T TRY TO DOWNGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE. You can flash older ROMs but do not try to Odin an older version.

You can't Odin an older firmware. Odin the same firmware or a newer firmware than you were on.

i have been trying to odin jelly bean roms. i have tried to odin 4.4.2 but wont up date either. when i recieved fone it was running dark stalker and everything is custom. my current binary is custom and also is system status
It was rooted because I paid for a service to remove FRP. Was working fine for a couple months until on day it started pulsating at the ATT logo. I can get into download mode but when I tried many times to flash back to stock it gets error message. The only way to turn it off is by getting into recovery mode and powering off while plugged to charger.
How can I get phone back to normal?
I get this message on the phone

Hello, I'm having the same issue.
I'm trying to find the stock firmware to reflash it back to stock, however, Odin keeps failing.
My Basband is :
G935AUCS4BQH1
My Build Number is:
NRD90MG935AUCS4BQH1
does anyone know how to find a correct firmware for that?
Have you tried flashing with princecomsy odin? aso make sure you Select Phone Bootloader Update (Removes EngBoot Changes)
