Need Help In Capturing OTA - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Hey Guys! I Am Now Using Motorola's N Soak Test Version. I Am In India. But The OTA Is Not Arriving In Soak Test. If I Revert To Marshmallow, Will The OTA Come? If It Will Come Means I Will Capture It... Help Me...

Yup !
Just go back to Official MM latest build and setup the device and check for update and it should capture it !

As you didn't provide any information about your device, nobody can help you. There are so much threads here discussing your question and provide steps, so please read some minutes. Downgrade can damage your partitions, so read carefully and twice.

Don't go back stay in soak test ,you have to unlock your bootloader to get back to M after that and the bootloader was updated in soak test if you go back and receive OTA and update it your device may brick.

I saw Motorola's blog post, but my device doesn't have anything available yet. As a matter of fact, I still don't even have the updated Google Calendar 5.0. I'd rather see the Play Store offer it than install the APK manually. Not sure when that will happen.
Keep checking. I have 2 on hand. One received it immediately, the other kept saying your device is up to date. Checked a short while later and it was there
Any word on if this official OTA will be pushed to those of us running the leaked .5 Lollipop build? Or will we still need to downgrade to stock 4.4.4 to receive the update? Thanks!

This is what I want to know too. I know it just started rolling out, but does anyone know yet?
You have no choice but to downgrade back to 4.4.4 using the images Moto released yesterday. Instructions are available throughout the threads here. There is not going to be a .5 lollipop to the final version. Nothing will come OTA to your device. I took the time last night to flash back.

Is that actually confirmed by Motorola? Seems odd they would offer a soak test and then tell all the testers to go back to 4.4.4 (which is far more challenging) to get the official update.

Yes, the update for the soak test users was only sent to them and no one has captured or released it.

That is the full update for 4.4.4 to the final version of lollipop. That's not a .5 to .6 update.

How much time for branded devices? I have an att dev.
I still have no update yet... Does the official OTA affected by the "root issue"? Also i'm curious if i will see OTA on my device if it's rooted?
If you carefully read my OP here, you'll understand the situation if you're on the .5 or .6 builds

Just received mail this morning from MFN. People who are registered in MFN are in for a treat. Please check your email from MFN on your registered emails with MFN. You just have to fill out a small survey. Expect Lollipop very very soon. And for non-MFN users please give it at least 10 days to allow lollipop push to your device.

The screenshot in the above link is supposed to be the update motorolla has recently pushed...
The version no of the soak test is same as in the screenshot...
22.21.32.en.03
Not yet in Europe (the Netherlands) on unbranded E.
I got the official update (5.0.2) 22.21.32.en.03 I have pulled it from /cache . Will upload it soon
EDIT: The official update and the soak test update both have the same MD5 hash. Looks like nothing was changed. Not gonna bother to upload it. If you guys want to update to the official update, flash the soak test. It is exactly the same.

i was just wondering if the official lollipop for moto e is any different from the soak test.
I don't think so that soak test or official update is diffrent thing
They both have same version same MD5
---------- Post added at 02:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:50 PM ----------
Bro lemme clear something to you u really knw what's the exactly mean of soak test its a release from the moto for some of there users to get feedback about the release if soak test hav any bug or somthing they will make bug free and there after release the final update and for all users not for the limited one only its just a Test build but soak test haven't any bug so they don't need to do anything further so they release the official update for all and the official update version and MD5 same as soak test there is only name's confusion nothing else one is soak test release and other one is official update but both are same and its my own thinking

Will Moto G4+ with SOAK test Nougat, get the official OTA update to Nougat?

The title basically explains my question, I have a moto g4+ with the soak test Nougat installed but I see some discrepancies in it such as the lack of nougat icons. I wanna know if the final nougat build update will be available for those of us with the soak test Nougat. Of course I don't expect people to know the answer to my question so your opinion is what I want.
Cheers

So flashing the same version of Android as is on the device is not a problem? Because the soak test and the final build will both be Android 7.0

NPN26.118-22 (right?) will be final, good to know. Is that newer than the second soak test update? Second soak test ota update was NPN26.118-10, what we never see First is NPN26.107, so it is in my phone.
Ok, more bug fixes. So second soak test was not final
Edit: Have looking for update, but nothing on reteu channel. Do we have to flash it over adb sideload or will be offered OTA, if we on NPN26.107?

You have sideloaded the update.
So i don't think that you will get via OTA.
You may have to sideload.
Should I revert to stock recovery to be notified of the OTA?
In General for Android: For notification recovery doesn't matter. Only the installation fails if recovery does not match.
