Hello
I noticed that the white color became so yellowish. Is that a normal thing?
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
yes ,common phenomenon of OLED screens , blue pixels fade faster than green pixels than red , so the best way to keep the screen healthy is that using a proper brightness level
That's a little fast to happen though, not even a year yet. Maybe you are on Basic color setting? Basic is more yellowish than AMOLED photo/cinema and adaptive settings.

It does, but not that much. Watch the video in this post. Towards the end, the reviewer does a crush comparison with the s3
I tested my own display with the same gradient chart shes using and it looks the same I can see to 3 on that chart. Ive also ome across some netflix movies where the shadows clip on the S4, but not on my LCD. Again, nothing major, but its still there.....atleast on my device.
A little here, has been a thing on every OLED/AMOLED device I've ever owned.
No biggie.

Also when brightness is low and I'm on settings when I'm scrolling down I can see as if the fonts is bleeding and colors are a bit pinkish. Normal or should I exchange?

There are some of us, me included, who see a red tint to blacks in a dark room. The red subpixels seem to stay on. Some folks say they have pure blacks even in the dark.
Now I dont see pink text when scrolling, but maybe your eyes are sensitive enough to see the red from blacks bleed into the text.
Do you see a red tint in blacks in low light? If so, that might explain the pink text
Sad to say, the S4 actually clips more than my galaxy nexus. A clear indication of this is in Phase Beam live wallpaper. The S4 has a trouble doing a smooth gradient on the purple shadow on the lower right hand of the wallpaper. It just shows a blocky purple shape in this area. The Gnex shows a nice gradient. Bit of a disappointment
Made a video of it. Went into AT&T today and checked the display models and both did the same thing. Might be s big problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yL5TV8kuxac&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Anybody got this? In low brightness some darker elements(specially gray) start become a little purplish
Also the colors seem less saturated in the default screen mode than the s3(also in standard) i thought i would be the opposite, is my screen defective or is this normal
I tried google but all i get are galaxy nexus results(purple tint)

Welcome to S4. Every galaxy S4 has this. Please refer to other threads on how to get rid of this smearing through software.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda premium
The OP doesn't mention smearing.
This is a different issue to the smearing problem.
When the brightness is on low greys become purple. I have had 4 different S4s (all had to be replaced due to screen issues) and every single one had this problem on low brightness.
IMO there is no such thing as a perfect S4 screen!
I have finally settled on my 4th replacement and this one is still not great but I'm sick of returning them.
I have a pink tint at the top of this screen and also all the sensors, LED and front camera are misaligned in the casing, All over to the left.
Samsung have REALLY failed on the Quality Control of this device.
So it seems universal, well i will have to turn off auto brightness and use brightness at 30%
Any of u guys came from the s3? Do the s4 colors seem a little less saturated to u guys? I have them both side by side and it seems so

Yes. I had s3 before and the less saturation on S4 is intentional by Samsung. According to some detailed comparison, the colors of s4 are more accurate. It seems odd at first because our eyes are used to the oversatured screen of s3.

Yes the G2 has a very dim brightness on 1% and also with inverted colors in accesibility click the name not the on or off button to make it dimmer grab it about the bottom middle of that screenshot and drag it down untill you match the blue color on the status bar all the way on the bottom... it keeps your colors the same but your blacks are darker makes for an even dimmer screen... have taken it to a movie theater and get no complaints its as if ts not even on
One of the brightest displays I've used no joke first time I turned the brightness up to 100 my eyes started watering no joke.
Sent from my LG-VS980 using Tapatalk
I seldom feel the need to run the brightness above 85% except outside on a sunny day. If you are an auto-brightness user, Lux is practically mandatory. LG's auto-dimming logic is horrible. It's got a, maybe, ±20% range.
Guys im looking for some help, everytime my phone goes from a well light room or a dark room my screen gets brighter or gets dim is there away to turn this off so that it stays at brightness at all times. I think i tryed everything , i tryed the 4 or 5 different screen modes so is there another way???

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. If you have auto brightness unchecked your screen will won't automatically change based on your surrounding illumination. If you do check it-it should brighten when in direct light and dim in the dark. So are you're saying it isn't changing brightness based on surrounding light correctly (when checked) or you're expecting it to change brightness not checked?

If you have the screen mode to adaptive display , that might be the cause of it. Go to settings/display/screen mode.

The color reproduction is horrific and hurts me eyes. I already used comfort mode and tried color adjustment in accessibility. It didn't help. My previous note 4 was amazing. I can't stand this.

Check out the app called Color Screen Filter, this will run and you can change the Alpha, and RBG colors. I have not been able to get my "perfect" setting yet, but getting closer.
If the colors hurt your eyes, you can always use black and white mode [emoji38]

Have you tried screen color adjustment?
Accessibility - vision - screen color adjustment - manual.
Move the cursor around till you find a color scheme that suites you
Hope this helps
You can use higher (white) Kelvin bulb.
Usually it's between 2700-6500.
Try daylight (5000-6500k) bulb.
BTW, my eyes are nearly blind under 2700k.
