So, I'm using a Samsung SM-N900V running Jasmine. Rooted it recently with the Yemen team method. I began playing with some Xposed modules and added the Device Fake Agent module to make the phone appear as a different device for an app.
Anyhow, it got stuck into a boot loop, and faced with no other options, I erased and reset through recovery. Now, for the past two hours it's been stuck in the setup wizard, no response from the home screen button, and I'm starting to get really frustrated and cannot find a solution.
I'm currently downloading stock Verizon rom from sammobile. What do I do? Re-flash it with stock, re-root and reinstall Jasmine?
EDIT: I can get to the options menu (only) using the LMT
Yes you have to reflash, reroot and install jasmine Rom again because I
****ed with xposed to and it screwed up my system
So, I bought an unlocked and used Verizon s5 from eBay running lolipop 5.0 and my friend rooted it with king-root via Odin so I could remove some installed bloatware other then that it was a stock rom. It was fine for a month approx the Verizon pushed a voice mail app/message update and now my s5 randomly reboots, gets caught in boot loops and earlier was getting "system process inst responding", and battery power changes from charged to low levels.
I have taken my sd card, taken out and reinserted the battery (only have one so cannot try a new one), wiped cache for recovery menu and even factory reset the install king-root app one touch root. any help would be appreciated.
Random reboots normally mean kernel errors same as blue screen of death on windows so I would recommend reinstall official lollipop firmware via odin then Reroot
I had root access on my Galaxy S5 running 4.4.4 and was having some issues with the phone, so I decided to do a factory reset. However, this seems to have caused some problems.
I can't proceed past the email setup before i get the message "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped". I then get a completely black screen where my home screen would be. I can still slide down the top pane to access brightness swatch/settings menu/etc. I just cant launch anything at all. Lock screen works just fine too, but when I unlock it's the same story: just a black screen. I wanted to flash back to ATT stock 4.4.4, but I couldnt seem to locate the ROM anywhere, and thought I would ask for help before doing anything else without advice.
I would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks!
See if you can boot into recovery, and give it another factory reset from there, clear caches too
See how you get on after that
I was messing around with lucky patcher and edited the play store permissions for an app. My phone slowed down a bunch so I decided to turn it off. I then tried to turn it on again and everything worked fine. The Samsung galaxy logo did its animation properly, the T-Mobile thing came on, and everything looked to be fine. Unfortunately, everything was not fine. After the tmobile logo, the screen went black and reset. Now it stays on an endless loop until you take out the battery.
As you might've guessed, the phone is rooted. This hasn't happened to me before and I am unfamiliar with this but have a vague idea of what to do. I don't want to try anything however because I might brick my phone and that's no fun for anyone. If you know what to do, please help. Thanks!
PS: I've tried booting up from the recovery mode and cleared the cache and everything. Using Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910T
Ok so you dont have a custom recovery?...if ur going to root , go the extra mile and install a recovery for this reason...your in boot loop and best advice is to re-flash your operating system with odin.....you will lose everything that you had on the internal memory of your phone...but at least you will have your phone back
Hey guys, just picked up a G935T from my sister since it wasn't working for her after a fall.
So. It rarely boots all the way into the GUI, and it'll reboot within seconds of getting that far.
Tried booting to recovery, only gets there about once every 20 attempts. Download mode works okay.
Figured I'd flash a new recovery, but I can't because the BL is locked, it fails out almost immediately.
Figured I'd flash the latest BL...anyone have a link to that? Ideally I don't want to factory reset just yet because my sister would still like to recover the data she has on this thing.
Thanks in advance!
(Meanwhile, I told her to get an F model next time. )
Nobody, huh?
