Sony could probably use the security patches across to nougat and to add there have been some important finds that needed to be patched

Think that hit the servers on last day of November.
My guess is nougat lands now or mid January after the change freeze, as we've just had the security update mid January now looks favourite.

Sony is following up the recently launched 10.1.1.A.1.253 firmware for the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL with another update. Firmware build 10.1.1.A.1.307 has just been certified for the Xperia Z (C6602, C6603) and Xperia ZL (C6502, C6503, C6506) on the PTCRB website.
The ’253′ Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean update brought a number of improvements including the white balance app for the Xperia Z, UI changes and camera/performance enhancements. We expect the latest ’307′ update to bring some bug fixes and could be one of the last updates before we see Android 4.2.2 make an appearance.

Hi guys here are some good news regarding the "yellow tint" problem in our Z1s (I hope it'll make affected screens look the same as the "white ones" )
We will add a setting for adjusting the white balance for the display in an upcoming update for Z1. I don't have any date for when the update will be available but it's planned for the beginning of next year.

Awesome, only thing bugging me is the 'for an update planned for beginning of next year'. Hope that doesn't mean 4.3 is postponed till then... (Maybe it means 4.3 in december and 4.4 beginning next year... can't imagine though)

early next year could mean anytime in Q1 which is what we expect to be the time frame of 4.4 release, nothing official though

According to Neowin Marshmallow will begin to roll out on new devices starting October 5th
Maybe Asus will roll 5.1x to us as a treat
Hopefully...
Better yet, they skip 5.1.1 and go straight to marshmallow...
Probably too much to hope for though...

As soon as my thinkpad gets its parts, I'll look into software development of the Z5 E6653 for personal use, and I'll also document it and post it here. I hope I'll be one of the major devs of AOSP Nougat custom ROM for the Z5.
Guys, how do I open Xperia Care? Can't remember I removed some system apps that I don't needed but I don't remember deleting this one..
Nevermind I freezed Support apk, because I got a sticky notification to uodate my phone to latest fw .305 so thats why.
Anyway I just unfreezed it to check this out and it's true! I'm so excited! Do you know when will this update comes out?
It is planned for december for the z5 series on the roadmap.
Delay everything with at least one month.
Hope we get the update soon, cant wait to put my fingers on android N

The beta app tells me that so far 174 out of 200 have signed on for the Swedish beta.

Sweden won't fixe a bit unless they got developers in Sweden. It's for people to test over all. Public beta so they can get feedback and for thus who want to try out nougat early.
