Evening,
I have tried EE and various sim unlocking websites trying to get a sim unlock code for my P9 lite which is locked to EE in the UK but no one so far has been able to produce a code for me.
Has anyone on here sim unlocked a P9 lite locked to EE or can anyone recommend a tool to do the job?
Thanks in advance!

Hi there. I'm in the same boat. The EE site won't accept my IMEI code. I did manage to get my bootloader unlock code for around £5 using a site mentioned in the unlock/root guide thread. A weird thing was that the Huawei site wouldn't accept my IMEI/serial number, and the guy who runs the site I ended up using for the unlock also said at one point via email that I'd given him an incorrect IMEI number. I insisted I hadn't and he eventually sent me my unlock code - not sure what to make of that.
Hi,
That's a weird one! I haven't been having that issue. My issue so far is none of these unlock code companies have been able to provide a code...
I went into town today and went in a few mobile phone unlock/repair places. Most were able to get a code which would have been pointless but one guy said that he could hook it up to his computer and unlock it that way. It was a case of "no unlock, no fee" so I went for it.
I paid £15 ad he unlocked it successfully ?
From my experience, getting someone to hook it up to their computer to unlock is the way forward!
I left the phone with the guy (after noting down the imei beforehand) and went back 30 mins later where it was unlocked waiting for me.
Popped in my partners ID Sim in and it picked up the network straight away!
Happy customer!
Go find someone who can hook it up to a pc for you! There are remote options but I don't entirely trust them.
Good luck!!!

+one for this.
Followed this - https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-android-hisilicon-unlock-guide
But instead of letting the program unlock the sim I paid for just 4 credits (4 euros) to read the unlock codes, then when you put the wrong sim in the phone asks for the NCK code.

hey,
when I purchased the Samsung Focus phone,
it had SIM Lock on it , which I unlocked by
using the UNLOCK PIN ..
want to know if it will get re-locked after WP7 Update . . .
Thanks !
If you got the unlock code once, I would think it would be able to unlocked again if the update relocked you.
I've been watching a few blogs on the update topics, I have not seen anything about sim-relocking yet.
But keep in mind, it seems that not that many people have been sim unlocked, you might be in the minority of Samsung Focus users!
If you do the update, let us know your results.
if you are talking the network unlock...no updates wont re lock it. unless you put the correct diag code then enter the unlock code it wont re lock.... now sim lock is different that is a code that locks the use of a sim card unless a 4 digit code is entered... if you disabled it, it wont come back unless you enable it again...
The unlock codes are not as hard to come by anymore. Lots of different websites and people even on ebay. I used Fastgsm but if it re-locks. oh well. Doubt it will though from what other users have said of other phones
I unlocked the phone using the code from ebay NCK ZONE ...
since NODO is out, wanna know if installing NODO will re-lock my phone...

Hi pal, it will not.
sim unlocked.
Installed nodo yesterday.
Still sim unlocked.
By chance can you tell me if you are getting a Roaming Triangle?
Do you have a focus from Rogers (paid to have it unlocked) using it with another provider?
Thx

Answered your question in the other thread.
No roaming triangle with Telus sim.
i unlock my focus troough fastgsm and after install NoDo (force update) and the phone still unlocked.
Yes! Correct!
You can absolutly free get network unlock code.
To use any provider anywhere in the world.
So it means that S7 Active is not only for AT&T... - it's for everybody!
Just visit this page
This is OFFICIAL! That's why Support Clean IMEI ONLY and Out Of Contract ONLY.
Can anyone confirm this? Before I buy a locked S7 active and it won't work....
Thanks.
Yes it seems that way. I'm using an unlocked S7 Active with another provider in Sweden. I didn't unlock it myself though (it came unlocked when I bought it second-hand). This thread has some more info:

At the very worst you will have to buy an unlock code. I've done it twice for these phones and it worked both times. It cost somewhere near $20 US. So, you wont be stuck with an unusable phone, you just might have to pay a bit to use it.
FYI, got my unlock code from AT&T and their instructions (below) do not work on my S7A on Nougat
1. Power off the device and remove the SIM card.
2. Power on the device.
3. Enter #0111*, the unlock code, and #. The device cycles off and back on.
Note: You are allowed five attempts to unlock before your device permanently locks to the AT&T network.
I've unlocked a couple this way. Never had an issue.
Free at the Samsung site.
If you have a valid IMEI and the phone is from the USA, the AT&T site will unlock it for use with any carrier (GSM Carries not included).
The response time suggested was 24hrs, but I submitted @ 12:30am, the server must have been slow as I recieved my unlock code in 15 min.
https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/
100% worked!
:good:

No solution, I haven't bothered pursuing it as I don't have a need to put this phone on another carrier.
I have both NCK and FREEZE(reset) codes
And I can't find a way to input any of them into the phone.
After inserting non AT&T SIM card phone just says Invalid SIM card.
No popup to enter codes.
On android 6 it was asking for network unlock code, however didn't accept the NCK, I upgraded to Oreo and got the freeze code but there is no prompt anymore.
Is there any trick to make the phone ask for the code?

Hello,
I just acquired a new 'Huawei Ascend XT' phone which is sim locked to AT&T. I am currently in the process of unlocking the boot loader and rooting the phone.
I was wondering is there any tool available to Carrier / imei unlock this phone after I have rooted it (or may be even befor rooting it)?
Thanks.
I'm fairly certain you just need to change the apn settings manually.. need to do something weird to bring up the option to add/edit, believe it's holding down the tasks button
Without being carrier unlocked, the phone can only be used on AT&T Prepaid, AT&T, or AT&T based MVNOs. These days AT&T won't give you an unlock code unless you use the phone on AT&T Prepaid for 6 months. You can check eBay to see if any unlockers will sell you an unlock code for a few bucks. Only buy from sellers who have a money back guarantee if their unlock code fails.

Bought 2nd-Hand
I would like to ask if there is any way to carrier unlock. I bought this phone for 20$ on offer up. But when I contacted at&t to request unlock they said it has to be used for 6 months. For me that does not work, as I am already with tMobile and bought the XT for a second phone because of the large device support. I actually love the phone, but as is it is just sitting around. If anyone has or has heard of a way to accomplish an unlock please p.m. Me.or answer in forum. Thanks in advance.
Ps. phone is already bootloader unlocked and rooted with magisk 14.0. And latest TwRP.
I'm getting a Nokia 6 tomorrow but it is going to be locked to a different network than I currently use so need to unlock it. There are plenty of sites that say they do it but I don't know if I can trust any of them. Is there any reliable and trustworthy sites that do this? I normally use ebay for unlock codes but I can't see anyone selling them for this.
From which region you are, and the phone is of which region..
The phone will be Irish and locked to the Three Ireland network.
Simple goto this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/how-to/guide-oreo
And follow the instructions carefully..
Note: after flashing Mena firmware, see if your phone supports your regions network or not, if yes then you can continue to install rest OTA according to the instructions
If it works then enjoy, if not, reply back with your feed back
I assume you mean this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/how-to/guide-oreo-follow-steps-t3723776 Your link just leads to the forum. If so, how does that let me use any sim in a locked phone. Don't you normally need an unlock code. If I can't use my sim in it, the phone is useless to me so I'm holding off buying it until I can confirm I can definitely get it unlocked.
Look if the chinese varient TA-1000 With manually USA varient TA-1003 installed and sold thousands of piece in India and working fine..
Though Indian and Chinese has different network region
So why this wont help you....
Now its up to you
You can give a try
If this works then give a feedback
I'm in exactly the same situation, Nokia 6 locked into Ireland's Three network.
Any advice on how to SIM unlock so it can be used on another network?
Well visit this site to unlock your device
http://www.three.ie/unlock-my-phone/
Remember you will require your non-three SIM and IMEI number of your device
follow the steps given on the link, you could unlock your phone
I m not 100% sure, because m from India, so first check the site
[optional]
you can buy unlocked phone from here
https://www.amazon.com/Nokia-Unlock...8&qid=1517089335&sr=1-3&keywords=Nokia+6&th=1
since this one is unlocked, check it, i hope this could also work for you guys
Alright so I have a Nokia 6 from 3 Ireland.
Iv spent I don't know how long trying to get an unlock code for the phone so I could use it on my travels. Everywhere I went looking for a code couldn't find me one.
So today I just threw in a different sim and low and behold! It syncs up to the new network no problem.. It was never sim locked to begin with.. or is it possible the recent oreo updates had something to do with it??
So folks! If you've got a Nokia 6 you want to try on a different network just try a sim from a different network and see what happens.. Maybe this is common knowledge? But I couldn't find any info anywhere!
Hi,

Do you recommend unlockboot to unlock by 99USD?
Thank in advance!
Are you wanting to carrier unlock it or bootloader unlock it? The phone is already carrier unlocked, just insert your SIM. The bootloader cannot be unlocked on the G975U.

Hi,
No, there is a message that said "Sorry, your device can´t be activated on another carrier's..."
What carrier are you on? If you flash the U1 unlocked firmware and insert a SIM, it should work. If you don't want to flash then it looks like you need an unlock code, which is odd because from what I have read the G975U is already carrier unlocked.

Wait wait. So you're saying my Sprint S10+ is already unlocked? Just need to flash the U1 software?
If you purchased a carrier branded model new it doesn't normally come unlocked. You need to own the phone outright before a carrier will unlock it and some carriers require that the phone be used on their network for a minimum period of time (usually 1 or 2 months) even if you did purchase it outright from them.
You cannot flash U1 firmware on an S10+ unless it's carrier unlocked.
Hello,
I flashed this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s10-plus/how-to/sm-g975u-firmware-downloads-tmo-spr-att-t3908657. Everything goes ok, and the message of unlocking appears, requesting me the unlock code.
Any suggestion?
Thank you!

Actually you can flash U1 firmware anyway, but it will still be locked to the same carrier without the unlock code. Carrier locking is IMEI based, not software or device based.
Sent from my SM-G975U1 using XDA Labs
Have you tried calling the carrier and asking them to unlock it? Most carriers will unlock your phone once you've had it for 3 months.

Recently the firmware for the S10+ became all-inclusive like on the S9 models so I'm not sure if flashing U1 firmware over carrier firmware will get rid of the carrier apps anymore. They seem to get installed now automatically as part of the provisioning for the installed SIM card. If you have a network unlocked Verizon phone and insert a T-mobile SIM you end up with the T-mobile boot animation and T-mobile apps and all the Verizon stuff is gone. Maybe the U1 firmware doesn't work the same way.
I read in a different thread that you have to activate the phone with Verizon and wait 3 days. After that just put in another carrier SIM and the phone should auto unlock.

this is incomplete and some is inaccurate..
his vzw device doesnt need to be paid off but does need to wait 60 days from activating on the verizon network before they unlock it..
also you can absolutely flash u1 firmware on a u device, it has literally nothing to do with the sim lock.. and no, flashing u1 on u doesnt magically unlock the sim..
pretty sure on U firmware vzw device will say message cannot be used on another carrier yet.. on u1 will i believe prompt for unlock code when a dif. carrier sim is inserted
https://www.verizon.com/about/consumer-safety/device-unlocking-policy
sprint however needs to be fully paid off and active at least 50 days and account needs to be in good standing to be eligible for sim unlock

are you trying to unlock the Sim or the bootloader? i have the same phone and was disappointed to find out i couldn't unlock my bootloader. no root no custom rom smh. but it's because Samsung removed the developer option to "oem unlock" which must be enabled to unlock. so done online service claiming to be able to do so is crap and waste of money. also if you're trying to unlock the Sim which I think that's what the site is claiming to be able to do because Sprint is a CDMA network if you unlock the SIM the only other service you can put it onto would be boost or Virgin Mobile which just use Sprint's towers. they're the only network still using CDMA. so pointless all the way around sorry buddy.

I am trying to unlock the sim, the cellphone was Verizon US, (refurbished by asurion). And wanted to use Movistar (Telefonica, from Mexico just GSM). I am searching to do a root and try to follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693491. So what I understand, the site "Unlockboot" could do a CDMA unlock, and after 3 days of chatting with the person that is on service there, sounds that are possible, also is possible that I can continue using my GSM provider of Mexico. But it is very expensive 99$ USD is 2000$ MXN... Also, I do not trust a web service, also if there isn't a reference on this forum.
So that's the update...

Where I live there are multiple independent phone shops that sell SIM cards and phones and are not affiliated with a single carrier and also phone repair shops that offer to SIM unlock a phone as a walk in service. You can probably find a shop to do it if you don't trust an online service.
