Friends, I was purchased an used defy from ebay. It comes with android 2.2 and also rooted. From the first day onwards i noted some freezing. First i thought it is due to rom. But then i found orientation, volume buttons and power button working properly. During that time screen display may jumb. Then i was found the problem will solve by pressing power button to lock the screen and then unlock. Then it remain working for few hours. The touch may not work during call also. Pressing power button is the only hope.
Please help.
Sorry for my bad english

Hi, test to flash the right sbf for your defy. Maybe its your software.

I am using latest sbf "sea 15" in my phone. I am from India. One more incident i found that this problem is more frequent during morning and later evening i.e during cold hours.

Try limiting multi touch (no of points) to increase sensivity.

I am decreased the mutitouch points from4 to 2. But fault is still there. Its happening during morning and later evening. So after heating the digitalizer using hair drair suddenly the problem solved. But it again happens later evening. So i am confused. Is it due to faulty digitalizer or anything other?

I think you should try stock flash once, and if not resolved it is definitely a hardware issue

Recently a similar problem happened to me. It's hardware issue. Tried several stock ROMs and nothing.
This sounds exactly like my Defy. It is rooted now but with no flashed ROM just stock 2.2.2
It has had the problem long before rooting.
If it is a hardware issue is it likely it could get worse & maybe stop working?
Is there any possible fix?
I am changed froyo kernel based wiui. Now running perfectly with gb kernel based wiui rom. No problem till now(3 weeks test).
So i think its a kernel issue for some defys. Try it and report. Hope it help u too

You really should ask this in the official Mokee ROM thread instead of in the generic support-thread. I can tell as much as it works flawless under official CM13.

Got the update for my phone today !
I can't post the official link because I'm a new user but it's there !
But you can use search next time because there is a thread with that information allready. No need for new one.

Good question, have been searching for a good custom kernel for a while and no luck.
Yuki kernel is good, but unstable. Unfortunately, the dev doesn't have a mi 9t

Me too! So far, auto brightness seems to behave a little strange. Tell me if you feel the same or find something else

Does this Milk kernel has an info page, where we can read the features and have download link?
Is here on xda?
Has wireguard kernel support?
Thank you.

I don't have a problem with auto brightness...
But I had a problem a soon as the phone turned on after flashing...all of the cores were on maximum!
I installed Ex Kernel Manager and then I saw the performance governor was active...
I changed it to schedutil and now the cores goes down...

Hard since Xiaomi don't release Kernel sources often so custom are always outdated kernels, even if has more features

A little update...
I tried Milk kernel but it wasn't anything special.
So, I dirty flashed MiuMix rom to get old kernel back and I noticed that Wlan scanning was ON, I turned it OFF.
Plus, with Ex Kernel Manager I changed the governor for cluster 2 to powersave...
Look at the battery time!
I don't know which setting affected it,maybe all of them but I'm happy with it :good:

Ok, sorry ahaha I'm not so able about this app. So I changed the big cluster on powersave, before that it was on "schedutil". Now I have to check "apply on boot" or is it enough to change that option on big cluster? Sorry again and be patient with me please ahaha
