Hi Guys,
I'm posting in the verizon S7 forum because I know knox can't be disabled without changing roms, but hoping there is some type of solution to my battery drain issues. I'm seeing 10% / hr .. alot of it seems to be knox. my battery life is around 10 hrs total!! I clicked on every app and the only one that said more than 2% was Knox.
Any ideas??
nothing?!
Is it rooted?
nope, stock and the latest update
That 12% is probably going to be system usage. If you click the battery usage there where it says 12% it's probably going to be "system" usage not just Knox.

Get package disabler for Samsung in the play store if you do not already have it. You can disable a lot of stuff plus knox service. No root needed.

As title says, this little bugger is draining the life of my note 3 pretty bad "com.sec.android.app.sbrowser". Can someone help on this matter ?
So far it took about 22% of it. Beside that , i noticed that Android system also eats around 30% :|
Also noticed that with the new 4.4.2 1Weather was eating around 50% of my battery, basically the uptime is now ~10-12 hours from 2 days on 4.3!
I read some forums related to this but none of them mentioned a fix or anything like that.
great day

Greenify
Did you guys tried "Greenify" from Play Store?
Sbrowser is the stock Samsung browser. I'd imagine it's trying to sync with Samsung backup and failing.
Sbrowser = Samsung's Stock Browser
Delete it. Get another browser from Google Play. (Like Chrome, Firefox, Boat Browser.... plenty of them)
I suggest to you to root your device. It can help you to delete useless applications. I use kingroot.apk. Download it from pc, not in google store

Thank you for replying to a post from two years ago .
Your answer is wrong by the way to the question posted .
I know this may be old news and I've done a lot of research before posting this thread.
I've read somewhere that this high percentage/drain in battery due to "Android System" and "Android OS" is caused by android 4.4.2 itself and Snapdragon S800 chip!
I have a N9005 and I've tried 3 roms so far and all of them have this issue and my battery life sucks! I can barely reach 3 hrs screen On even in 12hrs!
I'm currently at 5:40 on battery and it's already at 60% with 1:20 screen on only!
I tried greenify and Wakelock detector as well as Unbounce xposed modules but nothing is really helping!
My question: Is there is any ROM or Kernel that you know about that doesn't have / solve this issue?!
Thank you.

I would consider you as one of the lucky ones. If you think that's bad then I don't really know what I'm experiencing. I can reach about 2 hrs screen time on in 12 hours before my battery is all drained. Try upgrading to 4.4.4 and see if you can see a difference. But to me it sounds pretty normal, because of the extreme screen Note 3 has it will drain A LOT of battery. What does Wakelock say? What wakes the phone up? Can you post a screenshot of your battery screen?

Mine also has only 1 hour of screen time before about 50%, my rom is an extremely debloated stock one, NF4 by Rayman95. Could it be my battery? TIA

Before we judge the system itself we may want to check your battery first. Try doing a calibration of it. You can find several apps that will calibrate it for you automatically or you can just google "Android calibrate battery" and you'll find tons of tutorials. After you've calibrated your battery, try and see if there is any improvements.
In case nothing got solved or better, try using another ROM (you might even want to try Cyanogenmod stock) and see if there is any changes. If not, then yes, it might be your battery that's giving up.

Try NH1. Though I didn't really have your kind of problem when I was on NF4.

Go into your dialer and dial *#0228# and there you will find the battery calibrator. If you do this, make sure the phone is charged to 100% and let it discharge. Run it through a few cycles and see what happen. should make a difference.
I have been having battery usage problems since updating

Did you guys flash with odin or did you OTA the N update? If you did OTA I would try totally wiping the phone (factory reset) and then Odin the latest N firmware. There are links for the N firmware in the guides and news section. I usually get 6 to 7.5 hours of SOT on N. I use T-Mobile firmware on my ATT device, wifi tethering works on the TMO firmware with the ATT unlimited data plan [emoji4]
Screen shot of SOT with 53% battery life remaing.

Everyone says I have a battery draining app and I know i do not as I had all the same apps when i first got this phone (ATT s7 FLAT) when the battery was great. The battery has been worse since the first update. I know batteries degrade but not this much. I factory reset and download all my apps again and for one or two days my battery is better. This phone either has a bad battery or the people working on the updates are just not caring as they just let the battery drain. Down to %50 after 30mins of screen usage of just Sync with reddit and 5 hours standby, Android System and OS are draining tons.

I noticed faster battery drain after upgrading to 7.0 but after agressively disabling unused apps with Package Disabler Pro and switching to a black wallpaper and lockscreen my battery life improved noticeably (as well as performance). But if you don't see any improvement with these tweaks then it is possible that you have a bad battery.
I've had an issue where I put my phone on vibrate and an hour later it goes back to sound and vibrate.

Hi !
To make it short , i even downgraded to kitkat , and got my self a new battery , it's a taiwanese battery, couldn't find authentic battery anywhere.
The best sot i could get is like 5-6h ( video playback). Normal usage would get me 2:30h or 3h top
Share your usage please . Im hating this phone
Please delete this. There are numerous threads here about battery life. We don't need more.

d no restart for 1week
My battery life significantly improved when I flashed Lollipop with full data wipe (totally clean fresh install).
There might be certain apps draining your battery.
I'm seeing several issues...
1, Facebook is running.
2. Whatever that Ludo King app is, it is using the majority of your battery.
3. unofficial, non-big brand batteries are always worse.
Try Greenify. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify
(If you're in the Netherlands, https://www.gsmpunt.nl/ still sells official batteries.)

Ludo King seems to be killing your battery big time.
Try Greenify app. It works amazingly well.
How can you say you cannot find the authentic battery ... ?
You can find the original battery from many ebay vendors
Also in amazon
Im at 64% with 1h sot
It would be nice if you share yours guys
I am on 51% with 4 and a Half hours SOT. I am running Resurrection Remix Nougat V5.8.3, i am using my brand new Note 3 Powerbear Battery from Amazon. I use greenify to hibernate applications running in the background including system apps. I also tweaked my LMK and kernel settings with Kernel Auditor.
Hi, I have Samsung SM-G935F Dual sim phone (bought used) and today I replaced it's battery thinking there was an issue with the batter as it was draining like 1% after 3 minutes with SOT but with the replaced battery I have the same effect. Searching through the internet I came to know that this phone has awesome battery backup but I wasn't able to witness it myself so far. The cell is pretty good with screen off but with screen on the battery drains fast. Under heavy usage it lasts for 6-7 hours max. Youtube, Whatsapp, Facebook.
So should I install a custom rom? I don't think so as many people have said this phone's battery time is impressive.
Any feedback would be appreciated. P.s. I'm' on latest Oreo 8.0.0 and I can't get to the battery usage screen either no any other application helps. Thanks in advance. I wasted 7$ on battery already.

S7 Edge has a good battery backup. If you are running stock ROM then your phone should be filled up with bloatware as well. You can give a try by rooting and installing a custom ROM. Even after custom ROM, if your battery drains as before then it could be an hardware issue.

Note: First backup your data before doing anything.
