Return to Nougat soak from CM14.1 - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi, I am in CM14.1 and I want to revert to the Nougat soak.
How can I do? Should I downgrade to MM and then flash the soak?
Thanks.

These guide says I must be on stock MM, but I don't know how to downgrade without bricking the device.

You can also do it like described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...-ota-update-zip-moto-g4-t3485277/post69252454
First page at the end there's a step by step guide to return to MM

I have two questions: Will MM work with modem and bootloader from N? Will I be able to upgrade to Nougat if I do this?
Thanks.
EDIT: It worked!

So far there is no complete mm firmware.
How did you try to downgrade? By fastboot?

you cannot downgrade, as yet there is nothing available to the public to correct it.you will need to RMA your phone, send it back for repair
the MM upgrade changes bits of the eMMC, these changes are not compatible with LP and cannot (yet) be undone. (unless someone knows how to flash nv/ modem / dt from fastboot)

Updating bootloader and modem to the Oreo and then go back to the Nougat

Hello there!
I come here with really important question.
I use the Android Nougat as a daily driver but I'd like to update system to the Oreo. Will I be able to go back to the Nougat if I flashed the Oreo's bootloader and modem?
Thanks in advance for answers!

Can you explain how did you do that?
I'm confused for now. Can anybody tell a little more about this? Is it possible via TWRP? Or neither via TWRP nor Odin??

I think he's looking for a TWRP flashable build:

By the way: @Ricardo Flowers, there's a very good search function on XDA, maybe use it and don't let others do it.

I do not recommend do that, because you will probably have a soft brick, try to do a clean installation of the firmware instead.
Do It manually. I'll post the link in a few.
Here it is.

Just pay attention to not erase user data and it won't wipe anything
It's not possible to flash a OTA.zip on a modified system!!!
And it's not recommended to try to make it work!!! That's a block based OTA-update which will ruined your phone by installing it on a modified device!

...install the update on a non-modified system. You have to be on stock rom to do an OTA update. That's always the way on a rooted phone.
