I am trying to build Cyanogenmod 14.1 on my computer and I get to the part of the instructions located here that ask for the proprietary files to continue the build. It specifically says you need to be on the same branch of cyanogenmod to get those files. The issue there is that 14.1 has not been officially released for the nexus 10. When getting the files off of both stock and cm13, the build fails missing /system/etc/soundfx/libfmas.so. Is there any way to resolve this?
I suggest waiting... I tried building CM today and its not even booting for me...
there will be nightlies when its usable. for now I recommend sticking to omni or AOSP

Hello everyone,
Yesterday for the first time I tried OmniROM, coming from CM 10.1, because I wanted to try Android 4.4 on my Note 2.
So I went to OmniROM's homepage to grab the ROM but all I found were nightlies. I then downloaded the latest nightly (11/26) which got me stuck in boot animation first, then crashed and burned horribly during Setup Wizard.
So I searched the net looking for another option and stumbled upon this ROM from DownloadandroidROMS.com, or whatever is was called, which hosts basically every Android ROM under the sun:
4.4-20131112-N7100-HOMEMADE
I loaded it through CWM, then Gapps from PA, then SuperSU, and everything is great. I'm one happy 4.4 root user.
Questions:
1. What is the HOMEMADE thing? Is it safe (in the way of spyware/malware)? Is it like the "Stable" release from CM?
2. How come I could not find it on OmniROM's official homepage?
3. This ROM was apparently released on 11/12/2013, so when can we expect the next release, if this is the stable version?
Homemade is just the default name for a self-built rom. Regarding safety... you have to trust the guy who made the rom...
HOMEMADE is to omni what UNOFFICIAL is to CM
This ROM is updated When there are bugs and new features.
Yet another custom rom with the latest Android Operating System Lollipop 5.1.1 It
is unnoffcial but it comprises the latest updates of Lollipop and CM 12.1. The custom rom is still under beta phase testing and there might be lots of bugs and instability. We would advice you to flash this custom rom if you’re not using as the primary device. You
can test the features of CM12.1 on your iRULU V3 but there might be errors or performance issues. The iRULU V3 CM 12.1 ROM is only 431 MB and it needs to be installed on a Lollipop based rom already with the TWRP custom recovery.
DISCLAIMER : Rooting or flashing custom roms results breaking the warranty of the device. Techolaty and its authors are not responsible for any damage which is incurred in the process of flashing custom roms or rooting the device. We highly advice to take a backup of your device prior to performing the process.

Moved to CM I could not resist trying it.
I wasn't able to use your recovery however I used TWRP 2.8.6.0.
My Windows machine wich I haven't used for two months wouldn't let my ADB work correctly.
My main PC is a Chromebox now .
still setting my phone up and I'll let you know my results tomorrow.
Thanks.

cm12.1 stable will be here as soon as i test gaming and see if it usable but so far it running better than miui7 stable but i also fix miui7 stable bugs but for now i will give you the cm12.1 so the camera bug will be gone and able to use fully .and better performance but sadly there is not custom kernal so the freedom is still not here yet miui 7 and cm12 is the only 64bit stable rom available now but maybe more is i get a mashmellow update or the source code.
th e stable version will be here as soon as i buy or get a 64bit pc

Hi, I only found one bug so far.....when listening to Google play music using Bluetooth headset the music is playing a little faster than it should it with a slightly higher pitch......love this ROM a lot.......
Hi, as a work around for music playing at higher speed thru bluetooth you can setup and use a app from the google play store called btmono premium, it works.....use widget.....
I still use my stock rom for my ZE601KL.
I wanna change to cyanogenmod but I still confused which one to use because 14.1 still nightlies
Is 14.1 far superior than 13?
Or "14.1 is good but that's it"?
Btw, I still have 9 months warranty, should I stay or get cm now cause it's that much more superior than zenui?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.
You can test any rom starting from cm 13 to cm 14.1, if you want to save your data, use TWRP to backup your stock rom and flash cm rom. If you dont like it, you can switch to stock without losing your data
Hi guys, I've been looking for the final cm13 nightly release for the op2, but can't find it since get.cm no longer lists it, and every other site links to there. Since xposed still isn't working on cm 14.1, I need to revert back to cm13. Can someone please link me to the last nightly release?

Couldn't find any mirrors. Someone who got it will have to upload it. Use Exodus. It's smoother & more stable than CM 13.
Here you go, you will get all cm roms mirror available for OnePlus 2.

unfortunately not, and i don't know why. i mean, the device has a snapdragon 410 which is developer-friendly so this isn't a problem, maybe it is because of the lack of developers using this tablet.
Is it possible to port other Galaxy Tab A variant custom rom to SM-T550?
Lol i need the kernel so i can try ubuntu touch on 550
UPDATE on Lineage OS for SM-T550
I found a custom rom for the sm-t550 running Lineage OS with Nougat 7.1.2. I installed it on my tablet and it ran pretty smoothly. I had an issue with google play services crashing though. Here's the process of how I did it.
First I downloaded the zip file by visiting Android Biits website and enter SM-T550 in the search. Should be the first link
Then I copied the zip file to the sd card of my sm-t550
Boot to recovery and do a backup (strongly advise)
Now do a factory reset/wipe data
Install the zip from sd card
Install Gapps for Nougat 7.1.2
Reboot the device and proceed with the setup and enjoy!
If anyone can solve the google play services crashing please let me know because I like this rom and would like keep it.
SM-T550 with Lineage OS 14.1
I have this ROM installed, but there's no audio through the devices speakers. The Play Store doesn't crash for me. I flashed open Gapps pico version. And I have Magisk running with Xposed framework installed. I have to use bluetooth headphones for sound though. I don't really mind having no sound, but if there's a fix, that would be ideal. This is by far the best ROM I have installed on this device thus far. Completely debloated and runs smoothly. I left a message on androidbiits about the sound issue. Hopefully deadman from github that created the ROM can do an update.
