[Q] Handcent problem

hi all.
i am facing strange problem with handcent sms app. it just wont delete any thread. i select "delete" and everything remains unchanged, as if nothing happened.
i also tried to force delete, but with force delete the application FCs.
any ideas...??? thnx in advance.

Perhaps try to delete them with the 'original' message app that came with your wildfire? I know it is not a real solution, but perhaps it will do the trick.

thank u for the suggestion. but i already tried that. stock messaging wont even open. i have about 25 threads i wanna delete and each thread having >10,000 msgs.

HELP : Gallery does not work

I did some app un-installing with Titanium and got a bit happy with it, now my gallery keeps crashing on start up, does anyone know which apps are essential for gallery to work? e.g. collage or mediauploader. I'm not sure which one it is so if you know, please reply. Thanks.

To get things back to normal,re-flash the ROM without wipe.

[Q] Bloatware re-installs after reboot

Hey everyone,
I'm having a problem where a specific list of apps keep redownloading and installing again on my phone after I reboot... I want to say there was a file I had to freeze or delete so that it wouldn't install again after every boot. I remember doing it before, but I've searched for a while now and can't find which file that would be. Does anyone know which file it is? or how to fix my problem?

Sounds like it would be Google Play doing it to you. Go into Play Store app - menu - settings - Auto Update Apps - Never Auto Update
Was yours set to "update on wifi only"?

[How to] Debloating 6.0.1

Trying to help, I post here the file I'm using to debloat new 6.0.1
All seems to be working fine.
It's a heavy debloating: I am disabling also Samsung account, shop, themes (apply your preferred one before disabling). I am saving Samsung touch wiz and Keyboard, even if I am using Google Launcher and Keyboard, as it's always safe to have them.

I bought this app, and when i tried to activate it, it didn't worked...
I tried 2 times already...
And this app only disabled or we can delete the apps as well ? Because after every reboot we'll have to do it again right ?

What is the exact problem?
This app disables only and no need to reapply at each boot.

One note: do not disable COM.ANDROID.EXTERNALSTORAGE if you are using USB otg

When I press import it doesn't do anything, I'm I doing something wrong?

Marshmallow problems

Hello all,
I've upgraded my SM-N910F to Marshmallow BTU and while everything seemed OK at first, I noticed that the stepcounter in S Health has stopped working. I tried resetting the app data and restoring data from cloud backup as well as removing the update installed after MM to no avail.
Yesterday, I also noticed that the screen rotation has stopped working too. I appreciate that one of the recommendations might be to wipe and start a fresh but that's not an easy thing to go through and I would much rather leave that as the absolute last resort.
Has anyone else had this issue and is there a better way to resolve this without wiping?

Did you uninstall Facebook? That also removes libgnustl_shared.co, which affects rotation. Here's a zip of my file (6.0.1 XSG for 910C), no assurances it will fix it short of a reflash, but you might give it a try (unzip first) -- put it in system/lib/ and set permissions to 644.

Thanks @rogerinnyc that library fixed the rotation issue. Why on earth would an additional app not really integral to the system remove such a critical system library is beyond me. It's evidence of the kind of alliances these companies make to force their products upon the consumers. I would understand if the device were given to me free of charge but having paid a fortune for MY device, I don't think this is acceptable.
