S7 edge Vs S6edge video camera , winner? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hey guys ,
We all know samsung outdone itself by creating a masterpiece in rear cam photography with s7 edge , its actually better than any camera in market if considered overall result.
But somehow i found that its video performance is not that good or may be its just my device.
I got samsung made sensor.
While recording in 4k , zooming in and out has obvious stutter and frame rate drop as well as when u move focus it stutters n give bad feel overall to video
When using at 60fpd , focus problem and at 1080p when shooting closely it gives waxy feel of object far from their natural form.
When compared it to my s6 edge , results were surprising , s6 edge produced better videos , nonstutter when shooting at 4k , no zoom in n out problem no problem when moving focus , Even 1080p at 60fps give better results (some advantage of larger sensor is there but still s7 takes more time to save 4k video too and video quality is not comparable to s6 edge , although its vice versa when taking still photos.
Anyone else with similar case??

camera FPS i guess every one should read

hello everyone ..
now i have been using my s4 for 6 months and i actually enjoyed them ..
but when it comes to the camera the quality is awesome but the shutter speed is why i am disappointed
in this video
i guess a lot of you have seen it
when it takes the photo it's like the phone stopped the time there is no that blur (the slowness in the shutter capturing)
every time i try to capture a moving object i get a blur in the photo
so any one of you have a solution for this ?
and i really can't understand why SGS4 Can't Record 1080p60FPS i guess the hardware is really capable of doing it
i hope to see your opinions .
I can tell the worse of this model is first the camera and second the battery for me.
Talking about the camera: the hardware is possible maybe, but the software still not either. Im listening all days how the members of my job speak about Samsung Galaxy s3, Note, Note 2 reminding the camera was so much better having less megapixels and less options for the photos or videos (one simple AUTO and u had a perfect photo/video everytime). Im very dissapointed with the camera of this model and with the new Note 3 camera too.

(Q) Still no major update to Galaxy S5 SM-G900XX

Why samsung have not released a major update to our S5?
I mean... Why not introduce HDR option in front facing camera (is a must)?
Or RAW shooting in lollipop?
Or a suitable and realiable low light mode using mid-low ISO's parameters depending on the obturing speed (slow obturing time is better for low light situations)
Better 120fps slow motion, current 120 fps slow motion capture is smooth but also you can easyly see pixels or frames while in 16:9 widescreen mode...
Sorry if i didnt explain myself well in las example.
We need a major update, samsung use to do it with their top selling phones.
¿Why not us?

S6 4K video replaces a YouTubers DSLR

So check out this review video for the Belikin WeMo recorded using the 4k video in the Galaxy S6 then mixed with my pro-mic audio.
Now what's interesting is not just the clean video but also when I came to mix the audio I found the S6 levels were much better than even a Pro-mic, incredible!!!!
The s6 is beyond every expectation I had and the fact it replaces a DSLR I use for my review work is just mind blowing, obviously flexibility is compromised with the S6 vs a DSLR but even so it's very impressive.

Galaxy s7 camera

Will the dual camera mode (split screen) still be available? Will it be possible to choose the frame rate, so there isn't a difference between fps for regular footage and split screen footage?
Thanks
As far as I could read in the manual (search for it) it does come with dual video/photo ?
I had a play with the S7 Edge in the Samsung store last night. The camera is stunning!!! One thing that I hated about Samsung devices is that the auto focus was too slow and sometimes didn't focus at all. The focus on the S7 is perfect!!
both cameras of S7 and S7e are not the same?
Same camera
all the vids im seeing with the camera open and reviews , some reason on the screen it looks like the resolution is 4":3 and not widescreen taking up the full phone display like the s6 does , is this the case ? it just looks kind of funny . looking for some more info on this,

Its a 4:3 sensor, if you want full screen you have to drop the mpixels to 9.1
I compared the s7 Edge to my Note 4 at best buy yesterday. The camera did have an obviously lower resolution compared to my Note 4 when zoomed in, the details get blurry on the S7 Edge. But i'm sure the overall quality of the non-zoomed/non-cropped pictures will look better on the S7. Unfortunately they had to trade off megapixels in order to get better low light shots. I'm not a fan of the 4:3 aspect ratio, simply because most screens are close to 16:9 widescreen. And how do we view photos these days? on screens of course So you can switch to 16:9, but end up with a messily 9 mp photo. Still looks good, but you're loosing 7 megapixels worth of information in good/decent lighting scenarios. Overall, I think it might still be worth it if the night photos really are as improved as they claim. Coming from the S6 or Note 5 however, I'm not sure the upgrade is worth it for that alone. But there's other things to consider such as the waterproofing and longer lasting battery. If I could afford to, I would upgrade my Note 4 to the S7E

thanks for the reply so being as its a 4:3 sensor , meaning when we view our images on a wide screen tv on 16:9 aspect ratio they to will not be full screen. ?
I'm wondering if we will see different camera hardware between the Exynos and S820 chip set. It wouldn't be the first time and could explain the current yellowish tint on the S820 models I've seen. There seemed to be none of it on the photos from the test in Barcelona I linked in another thread, presumably that would have been an Exynos model as it's Europe.
it actually might be a upgrade in low light and downgrade in regular light, if we shoot at 16:9, i hate 4:3.
Yup. Me too. I like 16:9 more. But i gotta adapt .

If the quality is better in all condition and mainly at night by good margin, then it's good upgrade, so far it seems not really an upgrade.
But we still don't have review til later this week, with all the improvements it gonna be better.
Hoping its gonna be better

Right, it'll be just was watching old tv shows where you have black bars on the left and right.
didn't know about that 4:3 well that sucks!
yup im not pleased at all with the 4:3 going to piss me off every time i open the camera grrrrrrrrrrr
I don't understand why the dual camera mode and split camera MODE are gone from the Galaxy S7. I got mine and those modes I used quite a bit. So I'm a little disappointed because my galaxy s6 edge PLUS had those modes at the higher megapixel count. I want my dual camera mode back.
Is it still 5 min limit with 4K recording or how long can record with 4K?

thats what I have been asking for a long time and still no answer.
as for the 4:3 that is a tough one. I think I will for me keep it at a 4:[email protected] 12.. most main shooter from my understanding dont take pics at 16:9.. its 4:3 or 3:2? I cant remember..
yes the picture will have the black bars on the side but its not that bad. If your viewing them on a tv or tablets you can pinch to zoom in a split second if it matters. You can always format them to 16:9 anytime you want, but dont think its that much of a big deal. Not worth dropping to 9mp imo..

Can the S7 record video with: 4K + 60 FPS + OIS?

Hi everyone,
One of my friends asked me if there's any way of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (Exynos-variant) can support recording a video at 4K 60 FPS with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and actually I can't find the answer, even searching the net. . .Do anyone know about this?
Much appreciated.
Best regards,
7UIS
No, it cannot.
Though, I think OIS is enabled at each resolution / FPS, since it's basically the camera unit moving around. It's the EIS that's only available in certain options.
Using zeroCamera™ MOD at the moment. . .Now my the S7 edge (SM-G935F) is able to record videos at 1440p with 60 FPS and also with the stabilizer ON, but I'm not sure if the HDR is ON too. . .However, I can tell you that it is definitely better now with this MOD.
