unlocking/flashing recovery without usb - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi people!
Let me sum up the situation please;
I have made a series of bad decisions and now I have a SM-T530 wifi with:
-a USB port only works for charging
-stock bootloader/recovery ( I flashed images of these after I formatted my system with TWRP, I dont know whether this made my bootloader locked or not ) ( checked: It says <ODIN MODE, current binary: custom, system status: custom> on the bootloader screen )
-formatted internal storage
I have been trying to flash a stock firmware I found on the internet through sd-card and stock recovery but image verification fails over 4 different firmware I couldnt find a properly signed stock firmware.
I have tried to create a bootable sd-card with cwm but no luck, couldnt make it boot.
Do you guys have any idea how to solve this, other than "change your usb port" which I am planning to do in next months due to finances ?

Did you try odin? If its in the download mode you have to flash twrp recovery

It was able to enter download mode but no usb connection available due to damaged port.
I changed the port with a new one and flashed through odin. It is ok now.

Help me please (Bootloop/Bricked)(Samsung Galaxy J5, SM-500FN)

So I was going about doing my business, I rooted and flashed a custom XPosed framework build and after that my device got stuck in a TRWP bootloop, it will not go boot into anything but that.
(When rebooting from TRWP it says "No OS installed, are you sure you want to reboot?"
And when I try to flash a custom/stock ROM it gives me the error "E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/ROMNAME.zip' "
Details:
Samsung Galaxy J5, SM-500FN, TWRP v2.8.7.0, Odin cannot recognize the phone while in TRWP which is the only possible state and the PC cannot access it's files, I need to use SD cards to get files on it.
Thanks a LOT to anyone helping me.
What do you mean TWRP is the only possible state? To use odin you need to boot to the USB Download Mode. To do this you need to take off the battery, put it in again, and then do Vol down + Home + Power.
You can flash stock firmware via odin, http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Or flash Nick Verse's TWRP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-samsung-galaxy-j5-t3338869
And CM 12.1

Can i install rom/stock firmware/custom recovery via my stock recovery(i9505)

Can i install any rom, recovery, with the help of stock recovery?
My device is not booting at all, it stock at galaxy s4 logo.
I can go to stock recovery & download mode
My pc & odin is not detecting my phone in download mode& recovery mode(I had changed about 10 data cables & 2 laptops windows 7,10 & all version of odin, I had tried installing every samsung drivers, kies, just every thing)
So plz help me out.
No, you can't.
And since your phone is not being detected, the only solution is to take it to a shop.
But if you can boot into odin or download mode then you have still a chance. Be sure you have a samsung driver to be able your computer and odin detect your phone
Is it possible the phone's USB port is damaged?

I am looking for a SIGNED ORIGINAL firmware for the Galaxy Note 4 (N910F)

I am looking for a current ORIGINAL firmware for the Galaxy Note 4 (N910F), which has been signed by Samsung and which can be installed with the ORIGINAL "Android Recovery" (no TWRP etc!).
The flashing with Odin does not work, but the original recovery mode allows the installation of SIGNED updates.
Has anyone of you an ORIGINAL firmware in the zip format (the same format as the Custom Recovery Firmwares), which can be installed by the SD card in ORIGINAL "Android Recovery" mode?
I only need the ORIGINAL firmware in SIGNED zip format!
I suspect Android will download a new firmware in the zip format from the internet in a normal update process and then - by means of signature check - installed directly via "Android Recovery".
But has someone of you this firmware format intercepted and secured?
The N910F's eMMC memory is blocked, so all updates via Odin failed (eMMC write error), but the smartphone is still able to install data from the ORIGINAL "Android Recovery", which are signed.
I guess, therefore, that the eMMC error can be fixed by a direct update from the ORIGINAL "Android Recovery". I would like to try it at least.
The eMMC memory chips seem to have no real "physical errors", but have been programmed incorrectly.

Put your phone in freezer for 2 hours without battery then pull it out and immediately insert battery go to download mode and flash latest firmware via odin.
This method sounds weird i know but trust me it worked for many users before and also works for hard bricked devices.
there's something to do with eMMC chip because of over heating issues with note 4 so the freezer method might work.
Good.luck
That reads interesting. .. ..
I'm very open-minded about unconventional methods and will try that if I have a second phone, because yesterday I installed a functional N910C motherboard in the device and now I only need 2 cameras that are compatible with the new board. The camera modules can be bought for about 10, - € at e-Bay or Aliexpress.

[GUIDE] Root For Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro SM-J530F

Here's another rooting guide for SM-J530F/DS (Dual Sim) stock ROM. Even with Lineage OS my hardware model (ordered March 2018, EU SIM card only) tends to mute the main speaker after rooting. This rooting method works for me and is based on the work of others, especially ananjaser1211 and Abdullah_a86.
Make a backup of everything and make sure that the backup is usable. You are responsible if following this description and flashing bricks your phone. It did work for me which does not mean that it also works for you.
Enable Developer options. (Settings, About phone, Software information, tap a few times on Build number)
OEM unlock the phone. (Settings, Developer options, OEM UNLOCK: enable - otherwise you will bootloop)
Reboot into download mode.
Flash J530F_TWRP_3.2.1.0.tar (in AP) with Odin.
Now TWRP is installed and you should be able to use your phone as usual or to boot into TWRP recovery.
Rooting will erase everything, verify your backup again unless this is a new phone.
Reset the phone. (Open Settings, About Phone, (Looking for something else?) RESET, Factory data reset, Reset, DELETE ALL)
Reboot into recovery, a cleanup script will run and reboot after a few seconds.
Reboot into recovery again, install SuperSu and reboot (wipe nothing).
Starting takes a little time, after running the initial setup SuperSU is installed and the speaker works as expected.
I started here a few times after no-sound, no-root and/or bootloop experiences with LineageOS, CF-Autoroot and Magisk. If you upgrade to this firmware version you can no longer downgrade to a previous firmware version. Follow this only if you break something, want to un-root, update your firmware and/or start from scratch:
Force a reboot if necessary and then boot into download mode. All data on the phone will be lost.
Flash the J530FDBT2ARB3 firmware with Odin (AP*, BL*, CP* and CSC*. Do not use HOME_CSC*).
Now you have again a phone with stock firmware without root.

I think this might fix you booting into download mode problem try this post. Read "how to fix" near the bottom. Please Thank us if it does. This same thing happened to me and I wish I stumbled across this earlier because I figured this out on my own by just messing around going from recovery to download mode and it eventually fixed itself.

[Q] Samsung S7 Edge (g935f) with both Custom binary and dm-verity error

Hello to everybody.
like the title of the thread suggests i have a Samsung S7 Edge (g935f) that isn't able to boot anymore. For what I remember I rooted this phone in 2017, using cf autoroot with Odin, but never installed some other custom rom.
Friday i needed to install upgrades and make a big mistake, I've disabled the unlock oem option. Now the device don't boot anymore, showing the Custom binary blocked by FRP lock when try to boot and even when is in charge, and in recovery mode you can see dm-variety verification failed... error.
I've tried to flash a new stock firmware, downloaded using the Samfirm tool, with odin but stuck in NAND Wright.
I've read that with this two errors, the phone is most likely in a hard brick situation.
Some other informations: in recovery mode I have the following informations:
MMB29K.G935FXXU1BPH6
samsung/hero2ltexx/hero2lte
6.0.1/MMB29K/G935FXXU1BPH6
and at the bottom the "dm-verity" error message
in download mode:
Current binary: Custom
System status: Custom
FRP LOCK: On (that's my fault)
Hope someone can help, and thanks.
Sorry didn't read your post correctly.. since you are still on v1 bootloader
Follow this link :
https://www.techzai.com/fix-drk-device-root-key-for-samsung-galaxy-phones/amp/
In short, extract AP and copy boot.img and system.img to new folder, then rename boot.img to recovery.img and repack AP using only these 2 files (system.img and renamed recovery.img) or maybe repack system+renamed recovery+boot which means we flash boot.img 2 times.. if using only system and renamed recovery doesn't work, and maybe add userdata.img too if adding boot.img doesn't work..and try flashing in official odin (if it doesnt get flashed in official odin.. use prince comsy modified odin)
(before doing this download this firmware and apply above procedure on it :
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s7-edge/firmware/SM-G935F/EUR/download/G935FXXU1BPH6/89733/ )
(Auto tar 2.0 link use to repack files to tar :
https://www.mediafire.com/file/ah20ha869prdkkc/Autotar2.0_By_FixFirmwares.com.rar/file )
Don't tell me if you detect any viruses lol, i don't own any file, just helping to get your phone working again (delete all such files after using them)
Flash bl, csc, cp as usual alongwith this modified AP, use default odin options (don't tick nand erase or any other advanced option in odin)
And dont try to boot into recovery as there will be no recovery .. if lucky .. you will be able to boot phone to go in settings and enable oem unlock option.. if unlucky you will brick your phone even further like efs partition further damage/ nv data corruption (which could be fixed by a box)
So i told you the risks, i will not be responsible for anymore damage.
Note : don't update to newest/latest firmwares or higher bootloader (because it makes rooting and fixing device very difficult as firmware with a higher bootloader version cannot be downgraded to lower bootloader version) and also your dm verity is permanently destroyed so even if you are able to fix your phone by yourself you will always need to keep oem enabled and dm verity disabled to use it.. and upgrading to latest firmware will only create more problems
Good luck ..
