Is it possible to add a boot sound to my XT-1575 & if so how? Are there commands I can add to the build.prop of a ROM to make this possible?

All,
I followed the below instructions to change the Boot Animation on my Vibrant, but have run into a problem. I see the Galaxy S logo swirling, but i also see ANDROID flashing in every frame.
I even deleted the bootanimation.zip but stil i see the same thing. I have attached my inti.rc file so tat maybe someone can see if i missed something? Please help if you can!
Changing Boot Animation:
1. Stock Android is Default!
2. If you wish to Change to Nexus boot or something else.. place the .zip into /system/media/bootanimation.zip
3. Changing Back to Stock Vibrant Boot Screen Do the Following.
3.1. Adb pull /system/init.rc
3.2 Find bootanimation & change to the Following.
#service bootanim /system/bin/bootanimation
# user graphics
# group graphics
# disabled
# oneshot
3.3 Next you need to Push samsungboot.qmp & samsungbootloop.qmp into /system/media
4. Push the edited init.rc back to /system/init.rc
5. All Done, Enjoy!
I have also run into the same problem, but with a different method for changing the boot animation. When I go into change it by replacing the boot animation files in system/media, i get the same result. I also get the same result when I use one of the older flashable zip files. Does anyone know what we're missing? I didn't have this problem until recently so was something changed? I've tried it with several roms with the same results including but not limited to Onyx 5 beta, as well as froyo jk6 no bloat.
Anyone? I also want to know
You cwn get boot animations app and choose from like 100 of them..I use the android peeing on the apple!

I tried the boot animation app as well and it essentially replaced the flashing 'android' instead so something has got to have changed somewhere because it changed something else...
I would also like to know this. I actually happened to like the bootup screen for the i9000 that I had on J16.
That's because it all depends on the kernel you guys are using and what the init script for the ROM calls for.
If you searched you would also find out that bootanimations are changed in most kernel's under /data/local instead of /system/media
Still no luck.. any other ideas??

Hello i've installed EVO - X4 in my galaxy y, but theres no boot animation when booting, i've try to flash via cwm with custom bootanimation, but nothing, still no have bootanimation,, please give me trick or the answer
-thanks / gomawo / terimakasih
May be boot animation is disable via build.prop or this don't have no any bootanimation.zip in system > media !!
If u have bootanimation.zip in system > media then
In build.prop u will find something like
xx.nobootanimation.xxx=1
Change 1 to 0 to enable bootanimation!!
Flash the stock rom boot enabler by deathnotice
iv posted it too many times as this question has been asked so many times so search for it
(hint check dev thread for original post)
(2nd hint check my posts to answers to this same question in q & a)
When you put a kernel from one rom to another, you have to keep in mind the following:
Most custom roms rename the secondary init.cm.rc file with their custom name. That file is called by the main init.rc during boot and is responsible for several vital functions, such as sysinit/init.d; cpu frequencies; ril, dalvik and adb functions. So, if you put DU kernel in CM rom, the main init would call for init.cm.rc, but your boot image has no such file. Instead, you have init.du.rc. Your device will still boot, but permissions won't be set, services won't start and some functions won't work.
The proper way to change kernels is to decompile the new boot image and replace ramdisk, cpio with that from your rom where init.rc calls the proper file.
I wanna add some command lines into kernel but I've not known how to build kernel yet so I'm wordering:
- Is there anyway to add cmdlines to kernel without rebuilding it?
- Where commands in /proc/cmdlines come from? How can I modify them?
- Can I add cmdline via build.prop? For example, if I wanna add "noapic" on boot, could I add "ro.noapic = 1" in build.prop? If not, what's the right way?
Thanks in advance!
You should contact main Zenfone 5 dev using PM, here is smaller chance to get what are you asking for, specialy if it need higher knowlage.
Thanks, but I've figured it out already
this is a modification to the files of the system therefore possibility of brick, do it under your own responsibility.
Hi, I found a way to improve the audio recording in the videos
for this it is necessary to have installed magisk, since I base on a module for the Redmi note 4x.
to install it you should go to magisk, then to modules, add (+) and look for the path where they have in file.zip (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1PxHNDThuHeiMGd8_Zbqso8JpPc2S3ih7) dont restart.
then without restart add the following lines to the build.prop:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CMnC-t7oHKOynkFQ89N4f_tFvRpoqlAp
then restart and you will not hear this annoying noise
the files that are modified are: system \ vendor \ etc:
-audio_platform_info.xml
-mixer_paths.xml
*make a backup of this files, recommended
Postscript: sorry for my English XD
And I hope it was clear
good luck
