If you have warranty, let it repair or replace it

As such warranty is void, as i have rooted my device. What are the reasons this could occur?

Relock the bootloader, then no warranty is void

But as i have updated my deviceonce to soak test so. It is not relocking.

Depends on service center. If they repair it, you can be happy, if not it's your bad. No one can answer this. But officiall warranty is void when unlocking bootloader.

Downgrade the latest Samsung devices is the MOST STUPID THING you can do in your life. Maybe 2 or 3 persons dont agree with me but the rest for sure yes. If ODIN let u downgrade becomes the problems with wifi, data, random reboots, warranty void, battery drains... And you downgrade coz ur phone was bad with the new android version? Come on!

Possible Solution reboot and freeze after unlock bootloader.

Hi everybody! I do not know can this is a coincidence, or only at me so. But the third day reboot, freeze not see. I use RR MM(nightly builds). I wanted to write as I did debrick and after unlock bootloader. If someone is going to do debrik hopefully get rid of reboot, freeze, then try and tell me if helped.
Before that maybe repeated the 5-6 times the normal procedure debrick and unlock bootloader, etc. But, after received a reboot, freeze the very first day.
So, in fact nothing special, no Evrika, not discovered America ... But please check.
1. Debrick. And flash old version 4.3 JB through a AFT. After update official method up to versions 4.3(Android JB 10 WW).
2. After through a ADB flash 4.4(Android KK 54 WW). And here, the most important thing, without having to start firmware ( "to the first boot"), in recovery switch off device forcibly(pressing the a long time button Power) and go bootloader. And unlock bootloader unofficial method.
Don't wait for a miracle. However, I don't have reboot.

I did like 2 times debrick to JB (because I tested too much).
First time I got freezes. Second time is today I did. Let's see if it gets any freezes or not.
If you get a freeze, it'll freeze again later. (3-4 days later).
If not, let me know again.

I tested nearly every method (even this).
It will give good result but not fully.
My best record was 30 hours and I am using my method.
Nothing gives full non-freeze (for now).
Gosh the freeze still haunt on this phone.

Simple question

Hi guys.
I have a Zenfone 5 A501CG with Lollipop (3.24.40.87_20151222_34) and I rooted the phone.
There are some things which I would like to improve like better battery, better gps signal, louder volume on the speaker and get signal back after I lost it (eg.: I'm in a zone with bad coberture and I lost the signal and then I go to a good spot. To get the signal back I need to reboot my phone or I will stay like airplane mode).
So I'm thinking to install a CFW. I still have warranty of phone (5 months left) but if I have any problems I can get it to stock right?
My question is: what's the best CFW for my phone and how to install it?
Thanks for your attention.
Best regards
if you wanna use cfw, you must unlock bootloader (ubl)
and if you ubl your z5, you phone may caused random freeze screen
my solution is, if you wanna use the best ROM so far, use kitkat 2.22.40.540
or downgrade to 3.24.40.60
it is most stable of the L stable..
it will solve your signal problem..
also you can root & install xposed..
Greenify & auto starts will help you with better battery life..
how to downgrade ? ?
Search this forum..
& if you like KK. 54 is the best

so far there's still no solution of this freezing problem
some people say it's motherboard driver problem
some people say it's dnx and ifwi problem
i really want have dt2w feature but to do that i must ubl my phone first
i have tried every possible way to ubl without freezing but still can't do
so i just back to kitkat because i think kitkat is still the best and most stable fw for zenfone 5

no this is a bootloader fault and nobody can fix this but you can try it and when you have freez lock bootlodaer and go baCK TO STOCK not erveryone have frezz
I think I will keep the FW I have and wait. Maybe in a near future the booloader works flawless. Thanks for your help

Just make sure you relock bootloader corectly
If you have relock your bootloader, go to bootloader n check your ifwi, if your ifwi isn't 59.a1 your z5 won't freeze anymore

no.. there will be no solution..
we have known about this issue for almost 2yrs now..
till now there is no solution..
People have tried on their own.. without any support from asus.. but no results..
and as far as I know asus has not offered any solution nor support..
but funny thing is not everyone is affected by this..
you will have to unlock your bootloader to check if you are one of the LUCKY ones..
you can always relock if you are one of us..
yes I am among the unlucky ones..

random freezing & phone brick are two different things..
& yes you can return to stock anytime you want..
before doing anything thing backup your data..
while on stock you will have to use an app to backup..
I use titanium Backup pro..
of course I have a rooted phone..
I suggest
1. root your phone
2. do a thorough backup..
3. saperately.. backup your contacts, SMS, call log..
4. move all backups to memory card..
5. move all your data from internal to external memory..
6. unlock your bootloader..
7. use your phone for 2 - 3 days..
if you have random freezing..
lock your bootloader.. & decide your next move..
for root, backup, bootloader unlock search XDA.. everything is already there..

Fingerprint Not Responding

I updated my SmG935a to the latest firmware (pl2) via Odin, and when my phone booted up, I got a message saying that my "fingerprint scanner is not responding try again later" I've tried everything. Hopefully someone knows what is happening I really want that feature back. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
To elaborate more, I am fully stock and on a clean factory reset state. If I need to get my phone replaced, does anybody know if I would get a new or refurbished one? I really don't want to give up my new phone for some refurbished one because the software broke

If you are fully stock, unrooted. Clean flash. And the problem still persists. You could try a custom rom. See if the problem is still there. If it is. Go back to stock unrooted and claim your warranty.

Would my warranty replace my phone with a brand new one? What custom roms would you suggest? I know that there is very little development for the AT&T version and I would get cyanogen but I don't believe it's exists for my phone yet. Anything helps! THANKS!!!

Your bootloader is locked. So that would mean you can't get a custom rom. You could however go back to a previous version of stock firmware. Install that one. And see upon setup if the fingerprint my works when setting up the lock screen. If it doesn't respond it's probably a hardware fault.
Would you get a new or refurbished one. Don't know. Call Sammy and ask

If Knox has not been tripped. So of it says 0x0 instead of 0x1. And you are in your warranty period. Then you should do a clean install. Totally clean. Just to be sure. Remove the SD card. And try again. If it still says failed. Then I should contact the retail store where you got it. If device says faulty finger print sensor I would get it fixed. u bought a expensive phone. It should work. An error is en error for a reason.

Root and warranty

I am fed up with MIUI, and I want to revert back to stock Android. Usually when you root your phone you lose your warranty. But, I have heard that if you root a Xiaomi phone you don't lose your warranty. Is this correct or some hoax?

Rooting your phone and unlocking your bootloader is one thing.
When you try flashing the wrong ROM and brick your phone, it's a completely different story and no company in the world will give you warranty in that case
Just don't overclock your CPU and always keep the Stock ROM ready on your computer. And make a full nandroid backup using TWRP, before you flash any ROM, update or ZIP using the recovery
As long you get the right exact files for your model, verify the integrity before flashing, the chance to hard-brick is almost zero :fingers-crossed: Additionally, fully charge the battery before flashing anything. So you have enough time for rescue attempts, In case you turn into a heavy bootloop and cannot charge the phone
I hope that mine arrives soon, cant await to check out my new phone with Resurrection Remix
Damn that they cannot produce in enough quantities because the high demand I suggest to first use the phone for a week, check if every component is fine.
And also, If done right, you can re-flash and re-lock the bootloader, like when the camera isn't working and you want to return the phone for warranty process

huawai is also chinese company, the only difference is that they have retail business expanded to other countries where there usually cooperate with retailers and have some sort of service station. basically your contact is always where you buy your device, and they will handle it for you. i recently got my redmi and it's a pretty awesome device for the money it costs. quality wise it's on par to other devices. while you pay alot of money for a chinese brand phone... i am not to sure if it's worth it. it's like they are produced next to xiaomi production site anyhow...
i mean they have quality control and stuff so getting a faulty device is pretty slim, other than that if you crack your screen service doesn't really help alot as well because they charge too much money, other than that redmi note 4 is pretty easy to repair so if there is something going on you are free to try it yourself.

I live in India and they sell phones officially here. We don't have to export xiaomi phones here. So if they are selling phones here so they might have service centres where we can fix our phones. I am talking about that warranty ?

I think you should buy this phone because it is worth every penny. Other than Miui (that you can change) everything is perfect imo.
Then I guess only logical upper version to think about would be LG G5 SE .. Huawei is not an option anymore while its camera also not that quality also i guess
So 180 euro or 320 euro
Thanks for answers
They Have Pick Mi Services which Is Doorstep Delivery (In India),
No need to worry about Service Centers.
