Can someone gim'me the links of TWRP flashable Stock Rom zip File. Bcoz i m out of town and too far away from my PC. So any Help would be really apprieciated. Thanx in Advance.
Stock cannot be flashed with TWRP.
Surprised there's no slimmed down debloated stock roms here. (Or maybe I haven't found it)
Every phone I've had someone's posted one up.
The cm ROMs are great but cm always seems to decrease battery life.

I don't have it anymore. I suggest to anyone with a new G4, that is bootloader unlocked, to make a TWRP backup.
Bootloader mode:
"fastboot boot TwrpRecovery.img"
Wipe data
Backup.
That will give you a backup to restore to stock. I think that is what you are looking for?

Could you please upload it once you've made it, or link me to a guide on how to convert the factory image to a twrp flashable zip?
Thanks.

Hi guys this is the first time i have rooted and flashed a device. I managed rooting my N7 and flashing PA Rom and Motley kernel. Now I want to flash back to stock rom and update to 4.1.2 via OTA or directly flash the official 4.1.2 pure stock. However I still want to maintain root and CWM. Is this possible? Can someone please help me out with details as kind of a noob. I even want to understand how Titanium Backup works. If i backup my apps and then do a factory reset while flashing a new rom how does the backup remain if everything is lost in factory reset. Thanks a lot for helping.

Do it manually like I did, its just as quick as the OTA, you keep all your files and I didn't loose root, was done in 5 mins.
Heres the thread to the manual tutorial:

The update can only be applied to a completely stock rom, if you have made any changes to the rom(build.prop edits, etc) the zip will fail to flash

You need a stock RUU, but I'm not sure where to find those. Once you have the stock RUU, adb push the update and your all strawberries and cream
The update will fail if build.prop is modifed and most custom roms modify that. So it would be safer to flash stock image and sideload the update.
Or else wait for the custom ROM developer to incorporate those changes.
Basically I've never flashed a custom kernel before so I'm trying to do some research so if someone could give me some incite or point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.
The only thing I'm not sure of is if I flash a custom kernel will it prevent me from receiving any future ota updates? If so, any ideas where to find a flashable stock kernel? I couldn't find one. I really want to stay with the stock rom. Had my fill of custom roms on my phone.

Let's see. AFAIK yes, non-stock kernels will prevent you from getting those long-awaited OTAs (not sure though as the first thing I did after getting my N7 was to flash PA ).
If you really like the stock experience but still want a custom kernel, you must flash a custom recovery to flash kernels. The latest TWRP touch is what you need.
After you've flashed the recovery, just download the kernel zip, reboot to recovery, flash, profit.
As for a kernel, you can go with M-Kernel, DerKernel, franco.Kernel, Faux and so on and so forth. I love M-Kernel personally. You can tweak it with TricksterMOD for a smokin' good overclock as well as purty good battery life
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, just asking, what do you mean by a "a flashable stock kernel"? If you already have the stock kernel, why flash the same over it?
AFAIK updates to stock kernel are provided by OTAs.
I guess I was looking for a way to return to the stock kernel if need be. I have my recovery and understand that part. Just trying to make sure I understand kernels better before I brick my n7. Thanks for the help!

Oh, ok. If you flash the stock ROM, it flashes the kernel as well (but it's a lot of work reflashing a ROM just for the kernel )
What you can do is this: extract the stock ROM zip and flash the boot.img you get.
Here's a link to the stock ROM: https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/nakasig-jop40d-factory-efcec044.tgz
Edit: I figured I'd explain the rest as well...
After you download that file, untar it: nakasig-jop40d-factory-efcec044.tgz will untar to a folder probably named:nakasig-jop40d-factory-efcec044
Open that folder. You will find a zip (probably image-nakasig-jop40d.zip or something like that), unzip it.
You'll find four files. boot.img is the one you need. Flash it to your device with fastboot.
If you wan a flashable zip, unzip any custom kernel, replace the awesome custom boot.img with the boring stock one and rezip. You should be able to flash it from TWRP or CWM.
Note that the stock kernel nukes CWM on first boot. I assume you don't have root. Do this:
1. Connect the N7 to your PC. [you should have debugging enabled in dev options]
2. Open an adb shell and type this: mv /system/recovery-from-boot.p /system/recovery-from/boot.p.bak
3. ???
4. Profit
[If you do have root, open a file manager, remount /system as read/write and rename /system/recovery-from-boot.p to something.]
Click thanks if I helped!
That's why I was hoping to find the JOP40D stock kernel as a flashable zip. But I'll give the boot. I'm a shot. Thanks again!

It would be nice if you clicked "thanks" below my post
stock flashable 4.1.2 kernel for grouper(put up by faux as a "reset" kernel) http://faux.androidro.ms/grouper-faux123-reset-kernel-4.1.2.zip (should be fine on 4.2.1)
flashable in twrp or cwm recovery. no hoops to jump through flashing or after flashing this. it doesnt nuke your recovery.

Hello everyone! I'm currently willing to port CM11 (and then CM12) to our device, but first I need to seek some help from anyone around that have some dev skills.
First things first:
-Flashable ZIP of Stock KitKat 4.4.4 and Flashable ZIP of Stock Lollipop 5.0
-Recovery source code, I guess TWRP helps, but CWM would be even better.
And that's it for now. More info will come as soon as we start to get any advancements.
Thanks!

Not much since it's a Nandroid, but I think I can extract the files from there.
I just recently purchased a Galaxy Tab A t350 and noticed that there are no official custom roms available for this device. There is one unofficial Evervolve and it does boot and works "somewhat" but without a solid custom rom the only options we have are the factory firmwares flashed via "Odin".
While there is nothing wrong with using "Odin" as it is a powerful and much needed tool, a TWRP flashable zip of the stock firmware would be awesome. Preferably rooted, but I can always re-root the rom after flashing it with SuperSu.
My question is, how to take the stock firmware.tar and make a TWRP flashable zip out if it. Are there any good sources to learn from for doing this?
Thank you in advance.

I have searched an the only thing I can find is on older builds for like KitKat and jellybean. Nothing on MM. Or even N for that matter. I would just like to know how to do it my self. A link h to a good source would be a lot of help. But thank you anyways.
Please delete this threads as I have found the answer to my own question and have built my own rom. Thank you.
Hey guys, im having trouble finding a stock version of android 4.4 KitKat for my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (sm-g530t variant) because im trying to get pretty much any version of LineageOS thats Marshmallow and above, but they all require me to have 4.4 kitkat installed, and i simply cannot find it ANYWHERE. if anyone out there can provide me a link, or send me a link to like google drive with a backup of a freshly stock factory reset backup? Just something please, im getting quite desperate as i cannot afford a new phone, but 5.1.1 is giving me all sorts of hell, what with not having adoptable storage and whatnot. So if anyone can help me out, it would be GREATLY appreciated, as i have searched and searched and searched for literally HOURS trying to find 4.4 for this thing, and i never found one. for reference, if need be, im trying to get LineageOS 15.1 or 15.0, if that helps too, but i dont know, im sort of a noob in a way. I can and have flashed a few alternate roms, but i need 4.4 for Lineage. Also, ive already checked on Sammobile, and the only firmware they have is 5.1.1. Ive even searched around XDA quite a bit, and still cant find it :crying: Thanks to all who can help, and have a great day!

You need *4.4 and above* to install lineage. So having 5.1.1 is fine as well.

see, thats the thing. ive already tried flashing it with 5.1.1, and it just loopedon the boot animation, i let it run for a solid hour, and still didnt do anything.. i honestly dont know what to try next, i just need it to work. any further help and clarification would be most appreciated!
Lineage 15 isn't working yet. Use the July 2017 build of Lineage 14. There's a few bugs, but I use it just fine. Be sure you are using the correct version of TWRP. I think I had to downgrade TWRP to install Lineage 14.

Oh, alright. i didnt know i had to use a specific version of TWRP, so i guess thats also on the list lol. Do you think it would make a difference if my current rom was a stock TW rom, but deodexed, debloated, and rooted?

Nope. Your stock TW ROM doesn't needs to be deodexed, de-bloted or anything. Only thing you need is a custom TWRP recovery to flash the ROM.

You're probably doing something wrong if that's the case.
Check if:
- You're flashing images for the proper device (SM-G530T1/gprimelte),
- You're using ODIN or TWRP correctly,
- Your images are not corrupt (there are MD5 files with each build for md5 verification, and zip signature checks with TWRP),
- Your device is hardware unlocked via Developer Options in the stock ROM,
- FRP lock is disabled on your device.
Let me know if you get back to stock 5.1.1 because nothing works. Im forced to use june version of lineage 14.1
got back to a working stock 5.1.1
