Does anyone else have the problem that after a restart the phone defaults back to 12hr clock (am/pm) instead of the 24hr clock I'd set the system to?

Yes, I have a new LG V20 with this problem. Not only is the time defaulting to the 12hr clock after a restart, but it is defaulting or shutting off the 24hr clock during normal operations! First I discovered that the 24hr clock would default to 12hr clock when re-entering the "Date & time" settings control. Then after LG recommended a factory reset, which didn't correct the issue, I noticed it just defaulting to 12hr clock all on it's own after a few days of up-time on 24hr clock...
Great phone... hoping there's a fix or a new device will solve the problem.
Didn't make sense to exchange the device for a new one because it wasn't likely hardware related, but went for a new one anyway...
Same issue, although what I did notice is that the pre-installed Accuweather widget on the home screen is defaulting from 24hrs to 12 hrs several seconds before the time in the Status Bar changes from 24hrs to 12hrs.
I wonder if the Weather widgets are responsible!?

Hi My xperia prompted me to accept the time change for daylight savings, upon hitting ok the clock that displays on windows bar (in place of the battery indicator) is now one hour off from the clocks on my xperia panels...is there any way to sync them back up? If i change the clock, it will change ok but there is a 1 hour difference regardless. Thanks

so which is right the system clock or the panels?
what happens when you change the dst settings in the panel (its on the settings page where you choose your location)
I have the same issue. Windows panel and the settings have the correct time but the two SE Panels are displaying the time without adjusting to DST. If I go to the time settings, the time is correct. It is a DST issue on the SE Panels. Any fixes for this?

the right clock is the system clock on the windows title bar at the top. Not sure where the DST settings are, are you referring to the time zones?
@ frankencowx
I just found the solution. Click on panel options and then cluick the name of your city (Houston in my case). Now check the DST box and voila!
ahhh awesome thank you!!
Intersestingly enough, my xperia did not prompt me to accept any time change for daylight savings. Forgive my ignorance here but where can I check the DST option? I think I had gone through most settings and I couldn't find it. Appreciate the help.
go to options on your sony ericsson panels (where launcher/location/web feeds are) and select which city you want again, underneath it is a checkbox for DST.
Got it. Thanks.
God damn, after daylight savings ending all my appointments changed by an hour. Anyone know anything about this problem? I don't want to manually change them all back.
Update: Seems the problem fixed itself when I synced it with my desktop. Still... Weird
DST has been forgotten
I have just come back from Europe to the UK after holiday, when I went aborad the X1 updated itself with the local time (I don't know/care how), but on return it stayed as GMT +2 and refused to change.
I then changed it to GMT +1 but of course it updated all of my calendar entries (wrong), so I changed to GMT & looked (in vain) for the DST settings.
Now my clock is one hour behind & all of the calendar entries are 2 hours early.
I have sync'd with a desktop through AS4.5, no change.
Anyone got any idea how to apply DST to an X1 ??
WTF has WM6.1 removed this option ????

hi, I hope this is the right sub forum to post my issue.
The digital clock widget is set on my home screen. When changing the alarm time to a specific time the widget is correctly displaying the time when the alarm goes off. Although when I change the alarm time for a second time, the widget is not refreshing the time - not even after hours. If the widget is resized it refreshes.
Nexus 4, Stock 4.2.2. (rooted with current franco.kernel)

Delete it and readd the widget, if there was an update that can tend to break certain features/functions.
Thank you, but it doesn't fix the issue.
It happens to me too, when I set off an alarm or enable one, it doesn't refresh the widget. I have to delete the widget and then take it back.
I have the same issue on Galaxy Nexus, stock ROM, android 4.2.2, rooted with Nexus Root Toolkit

I was having this issue and resolved it on my phone by going into:
Security -> Owner Info
and checking Don't show owner info
Developed an issue with the clock it won't keep right time I clear widget put it back up and than the clock is lagging I have turned off auto update and time zone reset phone still lagging clock widget. As well as any widget I download it just stops
I discovered if you go to Power Manager, power manage apps and turn off the sleep option on your widget, this will solve the problem.
