Any idea if this includes anything beyond security updates?
Usually when updates are that small the are just security updates.
Please let us know if this makes signal better, worse our same. Or whatever?
I stood on ph4 cause last update few people said they kept dropping signal. Plus ph4 working great for me as far as roms that I install on it.
But I do like to stay current if all's working great.
Thanks.
I think performance and battery are better.

So far, I've had much better GPS performance on PK1 than I had on PJ1. PJ1 had me constantly searching for GPS signal, making navigation nearly worthless. PK1 seems to have fixed whatever the issue was as it locked fast and stayed locked for both my morning and evening commutes over the past 2 days.
Update: False alarm. GPS still sucks. Took over 5 minutes to lock to a satellite today and kept dropping every minute or two.

I have had the same customer return 3 times because of the issue. In all his apps (facebook, instagram, browser, and more) all pictures being loaded from the web are coming in at low pixelated quality. The first time he came in our Samsung rep was there and said he had no idea why it would do that and after we both looked through the settings we decided to try a factory reset..
That worked for about a day and he returns with the same issue. So we replaced his device. Here it is 2 days later and now he's experiencing the same issue again.
It's not the reception. His wife got the same phone and she has not had any of those issues. He connected to WiFi and it's still coming in at extremely low quality.
What could be the issue?? Is there a setting that's he's getting into that could cause all online photos to render at a low quality?
Attached are screenshots of the issue.

nobody knows???
Nobody knows anything about this? This has been an issue with Samsung devices dating back to the original galaxy s. I've searched all over the web with people posting these exact same issues. And not a single person has been able to come up with any kind of solution or thought about what could be causing this. My own rep has no clue what it could be either. One of the employees had the same issue the other day with her s3. Couldnt figure out why it happened but a simple factory reset fixed the issue. It came back of course. But it seems like it's only effecting Samsung devices. So at least one of you guys here had to of ran into this problem at least once.

UPDATE
it seems to have been caused by switching from and to an lte network. Found out after digging around that a customer with an iPhone 5 reported the same issue. Apparently somewhere along the way to and from lte/3g data compression is an issue. Thanks for all your help guys.......

Same here. Hopefully whatever officer of Samsung made this decision dies painfully and they revert to their old less douchy tactics. Otherwise my money is going elsewhere.
looks like there is no root, without root Light flow doesn't work.

No worries, that can be turned off. Go to settings, security, and chnage some setting from "high" or "tough" or "advanced" (I forget what they called it) to "normal." Once I turned it on "normal" I didn't see that message pop up anymore.
I still need root access, though...
I got the message with security set to normal. The developer has since updated the app and the message no longer appears.

My compass seems to be working but pointing in the wrong direction. I am driving down the road and its telling me I'm almost perpendicular to the road. Does anybody else noticed this or have any ideas?

Do you have a magnetic case on it?
I don't, just a Ringke Fusion but I'll take the case off and try it
*edit* nope, didn't fix it

The last time I checked, compass is not working on KitKat yet. Need to wait for Google to release the official firmware.

Same problem, but i have 4.3 not 4.4. It only appears when im driving....
I just checked on mine, it's the same, almost 90 degrees out.
Even normal map mode it's out by about 30-45 degrees.
Mine's okay, maybe 10 degrees off. I've got a stock factory image of 4.4 KitKat, rooted.
Here some images.... In the image that is calibrate the compass im not driving... (Sorry I dont speak english so much)
Same problem here. Running official stock 4.4.
Running N5 port; compass works great.

anyone think this will get fixed?
my compass itself seems fine in compass apps but in Google maps it's 90 degrees out when used with GPS as well
Hello, this problem all started back when I was getting Google play services wakelock and battery drain on 4.4 CM. This led me to updating to 5.1.1 lollipop CyanogenMod which I switched from because I thought it was a problem with the ROM, so now I am on 5.1.1 PAC man ROM and the problem is still persisting. Here are screenshots of my gsam battery stats and the problem only occurs the phone app is used (I receive a call or place a call) and it doesn't happen everytime for example I can sometimes place 5 calls before the app starts to show up in gsam and it makes my phone ridiculously hot. If I turn the phone off for 10 minutes and turn it back on the problem will go away but no matter what it comes back. I'm hoping you guys can help me find a legitimate fix to this problem because my 7500mah battery is dying faster than the stock one when this problem is occurring.

That will be my last resort LOL. Reason why I rooted this thing in the first place. Between the TV my dad bought that broke in 3 years and all the problems unrelated to me this phone has had (USB port broke, screen defect that made the phone unusable, and now this) I will never buy Samsung again. Can't wait to get my lg g4

Just woke up to my AOD being different. I used the large hour with the blue minute and that option is now gone. Is this the version from the note 7?

It is similar to that of the Note 7 but you won't get all the notifications yet. I'm really waiting for the Note 7 features to be on the S7 Edge since this is their only flagship now along with the S7.
It now shows music track info! Works with Google Music, others have said Spotify as well. This is a great unexpected update.

Yeah this update is from the note 7.... But samsung won't just give us all.. There must be something less..!! No notification for third party apps... Why is that Sammy :3

This may be a foolish question but when did you get that version? Mine says latest at 1.3.14 @robogoflow

I woke up Friday morning to it automatically updated. I believe you can go to the Samsung app store and manually update it there

Ya hopefully the quick notifications access like note 7 comes through i miss that. This is a great update though
Can anyone post the apk for this. I have been trying to download the update and cant wont have wifi for the next few weeks either.
It doesn't show any of the notifications, I've even cleared cache and Badge Provider cache, still can't get my notifications to show, uninstalled the update, everything works fine.
