Hi guys,
I've got some problems when trying to boot my OP2.
First of all, my phone won't power on when holding the power button. There is no reaction from my phone. When connecting to a USB port of my computer, the phone will power on showing the battery charging indicator. I tried several things:
- Power cycle: holding the power button for 20 seconds 5 times
- Holding the power button when connecting my phone to my computer: the OnePlus and Powered by Android logo, after a few seconds, battery charging indicator comes up
- Holding the volume down button when connecting to my computer: the phone is stuck at the OnePlus logo and Powered by Android logo. I have to disconnect the battery to turn off the phone. (Yes, I opened my OP2)
- Holding the volume up button for 20 seconds when connecting to my computer: no reaction, phone stays off.
Yesterday when holding some buttons, I ended up on the fastboot screen, but I don't know the combination of keys and duration to end up in this screen. When in fastboot mode, is it possible to reset this phone, because I can't open recovery mode (volume down button)? And how to I enable fastboot mode?
Might this issue be caused by a broken battery or another hardware issue?
Thanks in advance XDA-hero's!

Hello all,
My mother got an a500 about seven months ago and the other day she put it to charge and the next day it wouldn't turn on at all, just a black screen. When the charger is plugged in, the power button glows white. Take it off charge and the light goes out and that's all it will do.
I have tried searching through multiple forums and I have tried all the solutions I have found. I tried pressing the reset button near the usb plug, I tried a hard reset by holding the power and volume + buttons multiple ways, i.e. I held them both for thirty seconds, held the vol button and pressed power for three seconds and about every other iteration I could find. Nothing happened not even a vibration like from what I've read it is supposed to do. I downloaded the update.acer.zip file and put it on an sd card and tried flashing it by holding the power and vol - buttons, still nothing.
The tab has not been moded in any way, however, God only knows what apps my mother way have downloaded to it...
I am at my wits end and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a noob so it wouldn't surprise me if I am not doing the flashing right or if I have the wrong files, all the links I found on the forums were non functional and I had to download it from filecorp.com.
Thanks in advance!

The white light when plugged to the charger just indicates it's fully charged.
Test 1. Press and hold the PWR button for 7 seconds, release, wait a couple seconds to see if it responds, then press and hold for another 7 seconds. See if it responds. This is to check if the tab is in Sleep of Death (SOD)
Test 2. Using a paper clip, press and hold the pinhole reset (near USB) and then press and hold PWR. After 4 seconds release PWR, 1 second later release pinhole. See if is vibrates and goes into APX mode, (tab should vibrate once with a black screen and white PWR button) if it does, press and hold PWR only for a few seconds. Wait a couple seconds, then PWR on tab by holding PWR about 6 or 7 seconds.
Test 2 is just to see if the tab responds to anything,
If you can't get any response from the above, then it's best to turn it in for repair.

@Moscow Desire: he pressed the reset button already so it is probably not SoD. Unless SoD makes reset button unresponsive too.
My tab does not vibrate when entering APX mode at all. Only the white power button LED turns on and the screen stays off.
@Core645: try this at first
- disconnect charger so the LED turns off
- hold power button for about 5 seconds
If the power button LED turns white and nothing else is happening then your tab is stuck in APX mode. You can confirm this by connecting micro USB cable from your PC. If you have windows it'll ask for drivers for Nvidia Download Mode or something like that.
Then check what Moscow Desire suggests with the reset button. I only ask you do my check at first because by holding reset you would achieve the same result and you wouldn't know if it is stuck in APX or you just forced it to APX by holding reset button.
Hi all,
My new Nexus 7 (2013 model) arrived today, and it seems that it can only boot up through the bootloader menu, i.e. the power button does not work properly. When plugged in, the battery charging icon does appear for a few seconds before disappearing.
The problem is that holding down the power button does not turn the device on. Holding down volume down+power button works correctly and shows the bootloader menu, and from there selecting "Start" is the only way to actually boot the device. When plugged in to a power source (outlet or computer), holding down the power button causes the battery charging icon to appear, disappear, and reappear constantly. Holding down the power button when unplugged shows no response on the screen, even after holding down for a full minute. Once the device is booted, the power button works perfectly for locking, unlocking, and showing the power off menu.
I already tried doing a factory reset, which did not help at all. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
Your best bet is to ask in your device's forum section as this section is for the 2012 version.

Hello everybody,
Since I tried to flash Lineage OS on my phone, I can't turn it on anymore. The screen is black, and when I press the power button the phone has short vibrations with an interval of approximately one second. When I press volume down + power it is the same, as well as with volume up + power.
When I connect the phone to my computer, again it vibrates at short intervals without being recognized by the computer. Finally, if I plug it in the charger, it also vibrates.
I can't access the fastboot mode or flash on twrp, I can't seem to do anything.
What is happening to my phone ? Did I brick t ?
Cheers and thank you.

Unplug the phone, hold the power button.
It will eventually reboot.
If not hold power and volume down.
There is a known problem after rooting, don't turn the device off and plug it in.
Unlock warning screen stuck "Reboot" fix.
Mine did the same thing the other day and after all the research found out it's Volume UP +Power press for as long as possible, for me it rebooted in 15 seconds. But I'd advice holding it as long as you feel vibrate and reboot. Tried more than few times for mine works Everytime. Don't plug it in while it's off and turn it on to prevent it from getting stuck again.
So I have a rooted oneplus 6t that was doing quite well for a little while now but for some reason today it died when it was hooked up to a charger. When I unplugged it and plugged it back in it did its usual vibration to signify it was connected but then it showed a qualcomm crash error (died too quickly to see it fully but it was small so I at least saw some of what it said) now when I try to let it charge it doesnt vibrate and doesnt even turn on when I left it on charge for a good hour now and when i hold vol up +power, vol down + power, both vol +power,or just power for their respective seconds to get the phone to respond. Tried looking for a answer online but none are similar to what i am having atm. Also my computer wont even see it either while it's like this. I've tried other cords as well to see if it was a cord issue and wasnt it's been sitting on the charger since 10:55 am est. Help?
It usually just takes some persistence. Usually the power + volume up will force it off, and then power it back on does the trick, sometimes it seems like it's all three buttons (which shouldn't do anything?) . I've had a couple times I've been just about to give up when it finally boots back up to fastboot.
Volume Up + Power while turning on will boot to fastboot.
Volume Down + Power while turn on will boot to recovery.
Holding Volume Up + Power should force the phone to turn off.
Volume Up + Volume Down should put your phone in Download mode for the MSM Tool.
Make sure you hold the buttons much long than you think you should have too.
