Hey anyone have some nice ones they know of with nice themes? I refuse to use go launcher because it has a cluttered menu. I want simple like stock but fast and smooth and themed like ics or sense 4.0

you can change the app drawer between vertical and horizontal, or 4D. you can also change the background.
The Xperia Home launcher found in this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1675639
I was utterly amazed when I found this launcher on here.
I extracted it using Titanium Backup, Flashed MikG 3.11, installed Xperia Home and pushed to system apps.
This works very well in unison with the Car-O-Dope tweak as the launcher is quick and smooth to begin with.
I was looking for launchers like A month ago and someone recommended sslaincher and I have fell in love with it I use to be a go launcher Guy but sslaincher is the most customizable launcher you can pretty much make your home screens anyway you want them in any which way if you can imagine it you can do it

The Holo Launcher is very ICS.
Dear all,
How can I sort the apps in App drawer? I searched the forums for the ones related to Jelly bean, found this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881712 , but Nexus 4 has a different UI than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1; on the top right in app drawer I see the app store icon. The user manual provided by LG is also of not much help. I hope I don't need a specific launcher to do just this. I have used Sony Xperia series before and it gives several sorting option of apps in app drawer, specially: "sorting by recently installed" is a very useful one. I hope I could do the same here.
Best regards.

You have to use a third party launcher for this feature. Stock android launcher is pretty basic.
You can probably even grab the stock Samsung Launcher or stock Sony launcher pretty easy. All OEM's do is remove the android launcher and replace it with their own anyways.

I would love a 4x5 mod, so it doesn't break the tw widgets.

Changing layouts?
I was wondering if it's possible to keep the default app drawer layout/grid and just change the Homescreen layout?
I like to use widgets alot and i have alot of them but i see no need for a change in the app drawer, Any help would be great.
It doesn't work with me, touchwiz stops and it is impossible to work with the phone. I got Omega v30 running, has anyone an idea where to find a working 5x4 or 5x6 launcher?
I find AOSP plain and boring so i try new homscreen replacement now and then and have compiled a list of top 5 android homescreen replacements and they are
1] Next launcher
2] Go launcher
3] themer
4] Buzz launcher
5] Nova launcher
here is the blog post i wrote about it Top 5 android theming apps

Also Apex Launcher (similar to Nova but some slight differences).
I tend to use either Nova or Apex (currently Nova since they were the first to add in KitKat's transparent status bar) but Themer is on track to be very cool for people who want something a little less like an extended version of the stock launcher. It's still in beta but it's from the folks at mycolorscreen who have become the best source for custom theming on Android.
My number 1 spot would go to Themer. Liked it from my old phone. Since I'm not that keen on customizing anymore, and I want to have Google Now with just 1 swipe away on my homescreen, I don't use it currently. But from all the launchers I have tried so far, themer is my favorite one. The second place goes to Action Launcher.
Good information sharing..

about the launchers, my favorite atm is holo launcher...
cos all i need from a launcher is gesture swipes.. up & down for notification & app drawer..
nova & apex have these only in paid version..
i wish GEL would incorporate gestures..
along with access for google now & LMT, that would be perfect
Sliding Explorer
Sliding Explorer have full screen on 4.4:laugh:

I was always a nova user since i had a galaxy nexus. Since getting the nexus 5 though, i discovered more customization tools for themes and widgets, and ive been using Go launcher just because it works with the aesthetic/homescreen setup im currently using.
If nova launcher had a few more tweaks to it like icons not clipping/cropping, id probably go back to using it.

Yeah they updated it to work on their website but the play store version wasn't updated yet. I had a thread on it. The only thing I don't like about it is non transparent nav bar. The notification bar is transparent but not the nav bar. In the broken version it was transparent. Not sure why it was removed unless that's what caused the issues

My wife got her Redmi Note 7 today and she's not impressed with the lack of an app drawer. I've tried the MIUI Launcher alpha v4.10.6.1038-06251834 which apparently has app drawer but after installing it and following the instructions on how to activate it, it either hasn't installed correctly or the app drawer isn't included on it. Without rooting and installing an alternative rom, what would be the best alternative launcher with an app drawer?
I'm using Poco Launcer and it's pretty good.
Nova Prime for me

Without any doubt : Lawnchair ! Do not hesitate to try the beta/alpha release you can fond through telegram channel, it's perfectly stable and has all the settings you can dream... for free.
EDIT : V2 beta now available on Playstore directly.
Nova Prime for me, too.
Hope Xiaomi put the possibility to choose to use the launcher with or without the drawer, soon...'cause per se the miui launcher isn't even bad.

They already did that, it is on MIUI System Launcher ALPHA. You can download from apkmirror and install it. Although the option is hidden on the latest alpha version.
