when using Lokiwiz?
thanks
Doug
I use Unrevoked, and I still got s-on,how can I solve that?I want to make s-off.And my WF is still unlocked(sim),This is my bigest problem, pls help
Both are not possible as of now on the Wildfire. The only way to unlock is to buy an unlock code, and, S-OFF is still no possible on the Wildfire. (AlphaREV is supposed to implement this, but, it there is no release yet)

Just flash WWE RUU with gold card or ..?
no
you cant unlock the wildfire by making gold card and flashing flashing does not access that part of the mobile device.

I thought that was unbranding, not unlocking? (The SIM Lock is still retained even if you do that, AFAIK) :/
Some other solution?any chance to make sim free?
maybe this work http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857444
any experience?
Is it possible?
Did you not read the other replys?
YOU CANNOT DO IT.
Also that link is not for the wildfire.

£100 for that!! if you are rooted, you can use clockwork mod to access /system and other system folders (similar to s-off, but you are responsible if you brick your device in doing so). to unlock your device, contact your carrier. they should be able to do it for between £0 and £20

Could you guide us through that process?
To goldcard the phone to bypass Cid please search the forum. Xda does not need another novice adding more stuff to it. That is already there
Edit. This will not provide s-off just the ability to flash any buzz ruu

@cybertyk thanks man, I'll search for it, just one quick question.
If I bypass the CID and install a RUU my device will be sim unlocked?
Thanks again!
Figured it out myself...
Is it possible to remove the sim lock without paying?

That tutorial is not to sim unlock your phone, its for CID unlock (superCID) if you want to sim unlock you will have to buy an unlock code

They get them from the operators, who sells them for a small price.
I followed the above link and it worked like charm
Temproot permroot and soff app first option and voila there is also a YouTube video on how to. Mine was originally on t-mobile now rooted and soff and Sin unlocked

I done the same and mine is also sim unlocked.
me too the method is sound don't pay to unlock just follow the instructions.
So that guide will totally unlock the phone to all UK networks?

Hello, here is a very simple guide to be able to use revone or moonshine to s-off on the US variants of the HTC One
Make sure you have dev unlocked and you flashed a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP both work fine)
make sure you have also grabbed an appropriate RUU from androidfiles.org
AT&T - http://ruu.androidfiles.org/getdown....13_10.33.1150.01_release_318450_signed_2.exe
T-Mobile - Need RUU link - Working on getting it
Sprint - http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22979706399752930 <-- Extract zip and run RUU.exe
After that, you need to make sure adb works (if you can't figure out how to do any of this, I will not help you. If you can't find out basic things about Android, then you shouldn't have s-off)
So, as we all know, HTC has made it so with newer bootloaders, you cannot downgrade to older firmwares. Well, this is true except when the software version changes but the hboot version doesn't. So all we need to do is this:
Boot into recovery
echo 1.00.000.0 | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19 bs=1 skip=160
adb reboot bootloader
start the RUU EXE, wait for progress bar to finish for extraction then it opens a new window with a checkbox, next, and cancel
after that, open windows explorer and goto %temp%
back out 1 directory then search for rom.zip
move that to desktop
then close the RUU
fastboot oem lock
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PATH\TO\DESKTOP\rom.zip
it'll flash hboot then tell you to flush
just re-run the flash zip command (just press up and enter then it should flash again)
Will this return the phone stock
Will this return the phone to stock and therefore allow moonshine to run correctly? Currently I am running cm10 and therefore cannot get moonshine or revone to work.

That's some scary **** right there. But awesome find if it works.
Is 0p19 the hboot partition or does it just contain the hboot version? Or is it some other version number we are changing with this?
Why wouldn't this work with the international version? Can't you just flash the WWE RUU instead?

It is changing the main version and allows a downgrade but doesn't touch hboot pre-update version.

hboot is p12. p19 is a "misc" partition where mainver is stored (I think).
As the OP states, this doesn't work if your hboot is 1.54, for reasons that don't need to be repeated again here.
Can you just use the At&t RUU if you're on T-Mobile, then updat radio after soff? Or is that crazy?

OP can clarify, but what I believe he means is the international carriers that have rolled out 4.2.2. If you took that OTA, you're stuck. No US carriers have rolled out 4.2.2, so no stock US devices have hboot 1.54, but there have been OTAs that blocked s-off.
But this method does not work on US devices that are rooted and upgraded to 1.54 either, because you cannot downgrade hboot without s-off.

How this works is that due to the fact that radio / sbl doesn't protect the misc partition which contains version number for the rom / firmware but doesn't contain the hboot number. If it did, this would allow a full downgrade from anything.

Nope. Won't be patched. System needs to be able to write to it when it has a new rom

Aha, I didn't think of that. Of course, it's not a big vulnerability either, so HTC may not care anyway.

Nope. Just makes s-off easier when they don't bump up hboot version number.
ROM.ZIP access
Is there any other way to get the ROM.zip for the AT&T variant? I cannot get it using the process listed.
Sorry for the noob question.
I have a Wind-Mobility HTC One (that shares the same MID as T-Mobile but has a different CID), will this RUU method work? It does have a 1.44 hboot version and not a 1.54 hboot.
Does this not include verizon?

Hi All
NOTE : Only For S-ON International(WWE) with base 2.22.401.xx users .. If you are S-OFF just flash firmware .
I am seeing lots of people want to update their M8 to 3.28.401.6 firmware but most of the CID's still not officially updated and the threads like HERE gets loads of posts on how to, where to and what to types of questions..
So here is the solution to get OTA if you are S-ON with main version 2.22.401.xx . Although i tried it on 2.22.401.5 but it should work for all 2.22.401.xx .
Download this nand(CID Y13) from HERE and restore it using TWRP recovery .Then flash custom recovery from HERE .
Search for the update it should be available , download install and enjoy new firmware ..
Note : These CID's are compatible and flash flash this nand :
HTC__001
HTC__E11
HTC__102
HTC__203
HTC__405
HTC__Y13
HTC__304
HTC__A07
HTC__002
HTC__016
HTC__032
HTC__J15
HTC__M27
HTC__A48
HTC__K18
Great that you got a definite backup that will give them OTA, now comes the flood of obvious questions.
How the heck do you restore with TWRP?

Unzip the downloaded file. Then place like this in Internal storage TWRP/BACKUPS/your device serial no /extact folder here.
In my case its like this TWRP/BACKUPS/SH443WM04574/2.22.401.5
Reboot to recovery and press restore option and let the recovery do its own work ..

Yeah, I know how to restore backups. I was talking about the general "population" asking the obvious questions like:
How to restore?
Will this work with CID HTC__M27?
Will I be able to do OTA if I have 2.22.401.5?
etc etc
Oh and of course "Will this work with S-OFF? You said "S-ON only"
Done with edit:
