Hi users of xda-developers forum! I present to you the kernel version based on the latest source code for Samsung S6 Edge SM-G925F.
I draw Your attention that the kernel is optimized and works only on the Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925F
The kernel shows the best energy efficiency and performance on my port firmware S6 Edge+ to S6 Edge G925F (http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=676510&view=findpost&p=41879879), in which a large number of interesting mods!!!
Changelog v.1.0:
- compiled on the gcc 4.8 compiler (for best performance and energy saving);
- the latest version of the source code (COH2);
- ramdisk (COH2) + my modifications;
- SE for Android status - permissive;
- full support init.d scripts;
- change the compression type lzma for ramdisk to increase performance;
- deep sleep fix;
- kernel added support for different compression types ramdisk (gzip, lzma, bz2, etc.);
- removed the red line when you turn on the phone (SE Android enforsing);
- support engineering bootloaders;
- support for a stock (samsung) bootloaders;
- support port firmware S6 Edge+ and Note5 (the video driver from Note5 and S6 Edge+ not supported);
- lots of tweaks and improvements ramdisk (thanks to arter97).
- Smoothen GPU throttling levels;
- fix memory leak in gpiod_sysfs_set_active_low;
- fix memory leak in gpiod_export_link;
- adjust hmp thresholds for power saving;

I wanted to post these instructions from the Khongloi thread. I followed these for T-Mobile Note 5 and it worked great.
I want to add you will have to change the language to your language. I don't have exact details but I do remember you go to settings and look for a tab that has this in it "Ngôn ngữ" . You will see another section at the top that has "Ngôn ngữ". When you select it you will see a "+" sign. You can change language there.

As far as camera goes I have found that you don't get the server error if you change the mode from Auto to something else. I am sure the video will record also if modes are changed. The built in video player sucks. But, they play better with MX Player.
I am not sure of the Navigation bar right now.

I don't think Samsung Pass works on any rooted Samsung Rom. Maybe not even after rooting and flashing back to stock. I don't know all the details though.

There is a camera fix posted a few posts back. And as far as video goes, I don't have a problem with Netflix or YouTube on my N950T on T-Mobile. It is very usable as a daily driver. Seems a bit snappier than Khongloi's port although I can not pinpoint exactly why.
Same bugs are persistent as in other Note8 ports. No capacitive backlight for navigation buttons and hotspot doesn't work.
I am not sure what the Navigation patch is that has been posted, I haven't tried it, but the camera patch works.
Edit: ok the navigation bar zip puts an onscreen navigation bar on the screen.

yes it works like a charm, no video playback isues and video camera works fine

my installation steps if you need em
* wipe
- dalvik
- System
- data
- internal storage
- cache
* Flash Rom
* flash Smart Manager zip
* Reboot and let the rom settle
* Click the blue botton and Select your language (starts in vietnamese)
* change resolution to wqhd (got the same bug as khongloi rom with first startup resolution)
* go to galaxy apps and enter your samsung account info (not google play) and update samsung apps
* Optional restore your data from samsung cloud if you want
* There's a notification to install samsung apps to complete installation (select what you want to install, email, gear, health, etc..)
* enter google play store and input your google account info
* go and test the camera for video recording (if camera freezes change the resolution to FHD 60FPS)
* to configure system ui enter rom control (battery icon, remove gif animation, center clock, etc...)

Very easy way to remove the bloatware from your phone. Anyway, be careful what you removing or you may cause system instability. THIS is what I removed so far. If you do a factory reset every app that you delete will be back, so don't worry, nothing is permanently deleted. But if you want to back some of the apps you delete without factory reset try this method

I don;t know if you are limiting your ROMS to those on XDA only - (or even if it is allowed to link to roms that are located off of XDA) but there is another awesome oreo rom for the s8 and s8 plus called Minotaurus - they are on Telegram and it really is one of the best Oreo Roms out there - Just thought I woud mention it - if this is not appropriate because it is not available on XDA let me know and I will delete this post.

I know about telegram, a lot of people moved from xda and using telegram only. Some devs even prefer the only telegram (or G+) and don't want their roms to be shared here, so really don't know.

Samsung outs full Galaxy S8/S8+ Android Oreo update changelog, here is what's new
The Android Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ was a bit of a hit and miss. After it kicked off the roll-out of the update early last month, the South Korean handset maker had to put it on hold due to some issues.
The update was resumed less than two weeks ago, but a full changelog was made available only yesterday. So, if you want to know what new features and improvements Android Oreo brings to the Galaxy S8 and S8+, sit as comfy as possible and get yourself a cup of coffee or tea since this is going to be a pretty long read.
Besides Samsung Experience 9.0, the update adds lots of improvements concerning various aspects of the phone's software and hardware, such as biometrics, quick panel, Samsung Keyboard, system performance, Samsung Cloud, and Samsung DeX.
Biometrics
To improve your security, features that use biometrics (face, fingerprints, and irises) are only available when you use a secure screen lock type (pattern, PIN, or password). When you switch to a non-secure screen lock type (Swipe or None), biometric authentication is suspended for unlocking and for verification in apps like Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass. If you're using biometrics now without a secure screen lock type, you'll be able to continue after the upgrade, but changing to a secure screen lock type is recommended.
Quick Panel
Manage notifications for each app with notification categories (supported apps only).
Icons will be shown at the bottom of the notification panel for notifications that aren't currently visible.
Home Screen
Touch and hold an app to display shortcuts to common or recommended tasks within the app (supported apps only).
Notification badges on app icons are linked with the notification panel. Clear a notification in one location, and it will also be cleared in the other location.
Samsung Keyboard
The toolbar gives quick access to useful functions.
The GIF keyboard lets you send GIFs.
More high-contrast keyboards are available.
System Performance
Background services are limited to improve performance and battery life.
Currently running apps will always be shown in the notification panel.
Edge screen
Improved font size, color, and other settings for better Edge panel visibility.
Touch and hold the Edge panel handle to change its position.
Added 3 more Edge lighting effects and color customization for apps.
Lock Screen and Always On Display
New clock styles for the Lock screen and Always On Display.
Adjust the transparency of notifications to get the look you want.
Smart View
Let your phone's screen go dark when mirroring to another screen.
Samsung account
Control your account settings and profile information for multiple apps.
Tap your profile picture on the main Settings page to access your profile information and account settings.
Samsung Cloud
View and manage photos and notes stored only in Samsung Cloud.
Store any type of file in Samsung Cloud Drive.
Select specific items to delete or restore from your backups.
See how big each backup is and how many items it contains.
Samsung Dual Messenger
Install a second copy of a messaging app so you can use two accounts at the same time. For apps that verify accounts using phone numbers, you'll need a different phone number for each account.
Touch and hold a messaging app on the Home or Apps screen to install the second account or go to Settings - Advanced features - Dual Messenger.
Find My Mobile
Back up Secure Folder to Samsung Cloud remotely when your phone is lost.
Lock Samsung Pass using Find My Mobile.
Samsung DeX
See more apps at once by changing the app list view to full-screen.
Use Game launcher in Samsung DeX for a full-screen gaming experience.
Added support for 2 additional Samsung covers (LED View Cover, Clear View Standing Cover).
Other improvements
Bluetooth now supports high-quality audio codecs, including AAC and Sony LDAC.
Video player includes auto repeat and 2x speed option.
Voice Recorder provides smart tips to conveniently block calls while recording.
Email lets you flag Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync emails.
Samsung Health's new sticky notification lets you see your step count at a glance.
Clock now includes a Landscape mode and timer sound options.
The digital clock widget goes directly to the Clock app when you tap it.
Samsung Pass added the ability to manage usernames and passwords in third-party apps.
By now, the vast majority of Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ owners should have already received the update, but in case you're still waiting for it, you now know what to expect. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the first Samsung smartphone to get Android Oreo, but the South Korean giant is working to bring the update to even more devices in the coming months. One thing to note is that the changelog is for the Exynos-powered version of the smartphones, but the US models equipped with Snapdragon models should get the same changes.

I finally managed this notification mod style to work. I am on Oreo unrooted. Wasnt quite sure if you need the only one or both files so just install both - Notif.apk and NotificationSTB.apk . Also, I think you need to install modded or custom one theme to make this work (Not sure on 100% about this). I used bodhisattva_klavikula.apk (really nice theme, found it on telegram channel) that also included in the link. After install, the files restart your phone. If anyone has a problem with the theme that I gave link PM me or write here, I will remove it.Don't wanna make troubles or looks disrespectful to anyone.

One thing i noticed that the notification is quite buggy there is massive lag when you receive a multiple notification. Tried to delete the apk's but couldn't find

Sorry to hear that, seems for now I don't have lag . But not always work like have to . Now I see it's not working again for some reason on me. Anyway, try to delete this file. I think it will be enough to be removed.

Yes it works on j200f and it’s fast, everything was working so well until I rebooted my device then the System UI has stopped message popped up and messed it, had to reinstall the rom but it keeps happening every time i restart. Does anyone know how to fix it? I really love the rom

Overall is good, but I have noticed some bugs
- AoD causes devices hang (it not respond when I press home and power button)
- FREE STORAGE VERY LOW (1.7 GB), compared with stock (3.5GB)
- some unfunctional features like blue light, etc.
But I must have to say a lot of thanks. because of you, I finally started to love android modification again!
One more question.
Due to low FREE SPACE, can I install DebloatX script to this ROM?
