hello guys , i would like to ask whether anyone else of you around here experiences this annoying google chrome bug with using the 'swipe integrated keyboard' i mean the keyboard that usually comes in whatever custom rom you are using.
e.g whether i use a MM custom rom like RR or a Nougat , whether the keyboard is a 'google keyboard' or a 'aosp keyboard' these still give me the same issue when i type in google chrome's tab e.g if i type a website name and i always use 'swipe' feature.
and as i swipe ,sometimes it refuses to enter the words, and i even cant delete words with the backspace on the keyboard.
it happens in the tab or in whatever website's search field i enter using swipe, and even when i dont use swipe ,the backspace key alot of times stops working until i refresh the webpage.
is anyone else having this chrome bug.. ? it has been like this for me for over a month now, and i cant use any other browser as chrome is my favourite (happened with chrome beta/canary as well iirc.)
could anyone suggest me a different browser , not uc/dolphin.
is there any other that is similar to chrome.

I have just tried to activate a card via the web browser. While I could input some fields the date of birth one could not be filled in. the numbers though pressed and confirmed by the keyboard popup just did not appear in the input box. Has anyone else had this? Stock browser and home being used on stock 2.2 JPO. Would a different browser work and if so which is the best?

I have updated my device to Gingerbread however the stock browser does not scroll all the way down. It seems to stop and then i can scroll and then stop again. Its really annoying but i cannot seem to find any setting for this. I have tried another browser and it does not do this anymore.
Also the stock browser doesnt seem to text wrap anymore.
Has anybody experienced this as well?
Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?

It's a known Bug in Samsungs Gingerbread Roms
I'm running JVO, downloaded directly from Samsung servers.
I have a complex page with several panes and 20 pictures opened on the browser. If I swipe the finger slowly up, it scrolls almost to the end, if I do it faster, it scrolls to the bottom of the page.
To have the text wrap and fit the screen width you have to activate that option on settings, by default it's inactive.
Zooming on the browser also works fine, I don't see what other people are complaining about on other threads.
its not a bug, the stock browser dose it it self,on the gingerbread roms the stock browser is morelike a IOS its dos not scroll all the way down, it scrolls 2-3 pages at one time!!! search before u make a new thread!
and about the text wraping, look into you settings.

why would you want to scroll 2-3 pages ??
if it was a feature, there would be a setting to disable it...
I have JVO as well but mine doesnt browse smoothly across the whole page.

Hey guys, getting some strange issues with my address bar on my phone.
Its only started recently and I can't work out what I've changed or pinpoint when it happened. All I have done is rooted the phone and removed some of the bloat (all of which on the safe list)
When I go into a browser or have to enter text into a text box I press the text box to try to enter text. If the box already has text in it, it used to select all the text so I can type over it/copy it etc. Now it seems to select all the text, then puts my cursor where I pressed, as if I double clicked.
Has anyone else had this issue? Or know what has caused it/how to fix it.
The second issue I'm having with the opera mobile browser. When I start to type an address it auto completes - gives me options of the ending (.co.uk/.com/.net etc) But it automatically completes the address with the top result.
Is this just me or is it a common issue? Is there a way to stop this?

Was just having a quick play around ans it seems its something to do with swype keyboard...can't work out how to fix it, any ideas at all?
As far as i noticed this happens if you have to manually add something into your keyboards wordDB.. just tap anywhere and back to the line you were and it should not bug.

Thanks mate, that kinda seems to work, but its not quite how I want it, will email swype about it and see if its a common problem

I am using the stock ICS release that was pushed to my wifi Xoom. While I love it over HC I am noticing some inconsistenies in the way the keyboard behaves across applications. For example
e-mail
This is the best, as you type the characters appear both in the email and in blue just above the keyboard suggestions for the word appear from which you can select the correct one. If you ignore suggestions and the word still isn't known it's underlined in red and if you press the word, you get a pop up list of words that it thinks it could be. You can add to the dictionary or delete the word.
Google+
No suggestions in blue above the keyboard but if you enter a word it doesn't know it's highlighted in red and once again pressing the word offers a pop up list of words with the option to choose, add to the dictionary or delete
Google Voice
Same behaviour as with email - this is good
Browser in a Javascript enabled edit form
This is very variable and was terrible in HC with lag etc.
Works fine in the XDA forum now - same behaviour as in email which is great.
But on this forum www.googletvforum.com - very laggy typing, no spell check and no popup. This BBS uses vBulletin so it might be with all vBulletin sites.

The g+ app is where I notice it the most.
Pretty sure it works everywhere else for me tho.
Running EOS stingray47 with gapps 10.5.
However this was also a problem on HC. So I tend to blame the app more so than the OS.

Anyone know whats wrong when chrome almost always opens new page as blank, it starts to load, then it just show blank page?
If you click on screen the page is in background and if you click in right place it opens links etc.
Only way to display page correctly is to press home button and open chrome again, then page shows up correctly.

[EDIT] this bug is not rom/phone related, my wifes nexus 5 with different rom has this too...

Yeah, same thing happening here. Also you can swipe left/right on the address bar, to change tab, and go back to "blank" one, now it will show correctly.
This start happening i think before 2 updates.
Though I haven't found anything about that bug. I tried cleaning both, data and cache, with no help.
Been getting it a lot lately, not sure if it was a chrome update or the fact I've been dirty flashing custom roms lately.
I was so mad with this bug, that i tried clean flash, and first page i tried to open was empty... :|
Fun fact, happens alot on the desktop version, atleast for me but I think it has to do with flash.
It's down to chrome itself, not the rom.
If I remember correctly, I had it even while using 4.4.2, now I'm on 4.4.3
As I mentioned, bug was here from last 2 or 3 chrome update.
Also, I don't have this problem in chrome on my pc.
