Switching SIM cards on and off is it possible - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I cannot find a way to switch SIMs off , selectively, ie, leave SIM2 on and switch SIM1 off. I have even downloaded a "SIM Switcher" does not do anything. Any ideas?

Try Tasker. I've personally never used it but by reading other peoples comments it's possible that it can do what you're looking for.

You can do it manually in setting, just go to dual sim card setting then unchecked the sim you want to switch off.

Good answer.

Thank you is enough!

Thanks but it wasn't me needing the help. Haha. It was just such an obvious fix that it's funny.

I've done that but it did not work even though in stock rom or cook rom.
Could also possibly be a problem with the network... Masts do break down. Have you tried your sim in a different phone?

Problem with phone connection

The bars slowly drop to nothing and then they go back up. Through all of this i have no service and no internet. I have already formatted my phone. It didn't work. I am on a Tmobile SGS 3. It shows 4G on my phone but nothing. Also i click up the micro SIM card and put it back in. I'll have temporary internet for a bit and then the problems start again. Thank u in advance.

I was not getting data at all after I got a new micro Sim for my n4. I waited a few hours to let things kick in, but nope.
So I went into setting and turn off and on "data enable", and ON then OFF for "use 2g only" "data roaming"
Then finally enable and disable airplane mode. I think I did it twice and it finally work. I did not mess with the APN.
Basically, I was just trying to refresh it to let it search for data. This isn't a solution, but worth a try.

Not sure about your issue but you might want to edit your post title if you want more help. That one is not very descriptive of your problem.

[Q] Cannot get a signal AT ALL

Please help!!! I can't get a mobile signal for the life of me. I get wifi and LTE, but no 2G or 3G??? I've factory resetted, flashed modems only, tried different roms. Everything. I'm starting to think it might be the hardware. If anyone has any knowledge, please share. As of now I'm back on NAE baseband since the NG2 upgrade started all this. Or maybe it was mobile odin. IDK it was one of those.
I would rather have lte than 2 or 3g. You could always change the settings for mobile networks to only pick up 3g and see if that works.

But I cannot make a call at all. There is no 3G period. Tried everything
Have you tried removing the sim card and powering the phone up without it?
