Hello guys, I'm on nitrogen OS. With ElementalX 4.0. My camera was working great till today morning. I even made a WhatsApp video call. I don't know what happened after that. Now whenever I open the camera app it's extremely dull. Even with a bright background it's very dull. I can only see TV or my laptop screen. After I take the pic, it comes out a little better. But not like before. Any ideas? Help me please.
I am going out of station next week. I had deeply relied on 6P. Now i don't know what to do.

Hi all,
I have installed the 'hacked' version of Skype which allows video calling on the SGSII. However the problems also apply to the official one on the market. The problems I am having are namely:
1) In call volume is too low - I can barely hear the person on the other end of the line. I am apparently fine. When I switch to video mode, I can barely hear them on the external speaker. I have set the call volume to max which improved things a touch (via the main SGSII settings). Is there any way round this?
2) Proximity sensor does not appear to work. This is generally ok as the screen timeout eventually kicks in, however when I then need to go back into the app I have to get past the lockscreen. Is there any way to get the proximity sensor to work and thus when I need to access the app during or post call, I don't have to go through the lockscreen every time?
Thanks in advance.
Farvesh.
*Bump*
Don't like to normally do this but it has been almost a week and no response....
Does anyone have these issues or is it just me?
Sorry, but it works fine here.
I am pretty deaf and I could hear it fine via speaker.
And the proximity sensor worked well.
(using 2.0.0.47 hacked skype on VR2.0)
I have camera issues sometime (turn upside down). But not always.
I reverted back to the official but didn't notice any of your issues.
Not 100% sure if Skype was the cause but was cached in the background and battery depleted a lot quicker til i froze it with Titanium...
Would it not of been better to post your concerns over at the forum that is running the hacked program?
You'll get better results from there.

As I said in the first post the same applies to the normal version in the market. I guess it is only me then - that being said I am using LR 1.5. Proximity sensor definitely does not work (screen timeout eventually turns the screen off).
Sound is definitely low as well - I compare it to my wife's 3GS and there is a very clear difference. Have the same problem with Tango as well... It's either the rom or a setting somewhere. Thanks for your responses anyway - appreciate it.

Like I said you'll get better feedback from the forums dealing with the hacked skype version.
Go in there and post your issues along with rom details mobile to mobile or mobile to PC skype chats..
theos0o may ask for your skype log file... Hope this helps

Hello Forum.
I hope you might be able to point me into the right direction. I recently flashed M7 CM11 onto my phone. I actually factory reset the phone using TWRP and then flashed.
My phone exhibits the same traits as in this thread:
[Q] Samsung S4 No voice during call - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348661
I was hoping that there might be any updated guidance?
In my car on Bluetooth and while switching to hands free mode the call continues perfectly, everyone can hear me. The moment I lift the phone to my ear, no one can hear me but I can hear everyone perfectly fine.
When you listen very carefully you can discern me speaking while not on the other modes, however it is muted and crackly, barely discernible, sounds like background noise. I have attached a recording.
I did have a look at the /system/etc/snd_soc_msm/snd_soc_msm_2x_ however as much as I love Linux the actual instructions in the file read like a foreign language to me.
I like this phone, but it seems I might have to replace it? Could this be an issue on CM11 with the software itself? It started a while back when I flashed a new nightly build. Then I tried M7, then I factory reset and tried M7, nothing seems to have fixed that issue.
Google is not much help either and warranty on the phone is long gone.
I would be very grateful for any tips of tricks. Thank you.
Hey guys,
I am a proud S7 Edge owner since two weeks ago. I love it. The overall performance is astonishing y it's design ir ergonomic and beautiful.
But, nothing is perfect, and I found a little problem that is getting me crazy.
I live in Barcelona, and a use a lot the motorbike to move through the city. I have a Bluetooth headset installed in my helmet and i heavily use my LG G WATCH while riding.
I start calls using the watch, you know: "Ok Google, call to......."
The problem is that, while the device is in my pocket and if it is connected to the helmet's Bluetooth headset, the screen remains turned on, PROXIMITY SENSOR DOESN'T WORK while Bluetooth is working. Humidity in Barcelona is very high in summer, and I accidentally end a lot of calls, or while speaking I touch number buttons continuously, with is very disgusting for the person on the other side of the phone.
The user experience is absolutely frustrating.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
I came from a HTC M8, M9 and OnePlus X and didn't have this problem with them.
Thank you all.
There should be an option under Screen to keep the screen off while the phone is in a pocket.
I will answer to myself.
I found the solution here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/help/screen-bluetooth-connection-starts-t2925836
Bluetooth headset's setting should be like in the attached image.
I hope it will help someone.
EDIT: Doesn't work for calls.
Hello guys!
Today I've been going home and suddenly a really have rain started and a lil drop of water got on my phone and it went straight for my earpiece's mesh. I instantly wiped it away and I freaked out that something bad will happen to my phone.
Anyways, I turned it off and then tried to dry it with my hairdryer and started sucking on the mesh (desperate times) but the earpiece seemed to work so I shrugged it off.
FUN PART: I was in my room alone and everything was completely silent and I had the idea that I should check if stuff works so I tried the everything, then I got to the camera and I tried switching the cameras and I heard the NOISE. It's kind of a "tz" or "dz" mechanicalish (?) noise when switching the cameras, ESPECIALLY if I switch it to the front. I asked one of my friends who also has a Mi A1 and he said that his phone does the same.
Can you try it too? It's audible only in silence, or if you put your phone to your ear and switch cameras that way.
Thanks in advance!
Mine too, it's normal, just the camera focusing in I think.
Thanks for the quick answer. I was hoping that other people experience this phenomenon, and my phone isn't faulty after all. The only thing left is that my fingerprint sensor looks weary.. But I gotta live with that I guess
I'm waiting for other people's replies also!
Omg yah haha. I have that tz tz sound as well! ?
I have it too
I remember having it on other phones as well. Shouldn’t be a problem
yes mate i have that to..its not a big deal...
Thank you very much for the replies!
The phone camera contains moving parts which is used for focusing.
When you start or close the camera and when you focus, you can hear a sound coming from it.
This is normal. It is not related to the software version in your phone nor the phone model.
I suggest you move on, nothing to worry about!
Hello,
I've had the Nothing Phone 1 for several weeks (Black model, 256/12 GB and Nothing OS 1.1.4 is installed) and I've noticed a few small problems:
The vibrator makes a huge noise! When the aptical feedback is activated (in gesture navigation and the Google keyboard for example), the phone makes a really loud and very unpleasant noise. When it rings, it's even worse!
From time to time, my Nothing Phone 1 crashes. I have the splash screen showing when shortly before I could use the phone properly, I didn't ask it to restart... And it stays on the splash screen until what I force it to restart. When I talk about the splash screen, I'm talking about the horizontal white and red lines that scroll from side to side of the screen. I already had this problem on Nothing OS 1.1.3. I attach a video which is not optimal but you will hear the sound of the vibrator on the ringtones. It's the same problem with or without a protective cover.

Has anyone encountered these problems? Do you think I need to bring in the Nothing support? Do you think all phones are like mine? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello,
I actually think this is the solution but how long will my phone stay there??? I don't have any others and I can't go several weeks without a phone.
My video is not of good quality and you don't hear too much the sound of the vibrator when using the keyboard, but I can hear it well, and even too much!
Thank you for your feedback Pho3nX and have a nice day.
