ML Manager:APK Extractor can't export themes I think (I have the app and I don't see any themes in the list).
Maybe try with Titanium backup, I can see the themes with this app :good:

I am able to extract THEMES app and Thw center in S8+ Android 9.
But how do get the Theme file to make edits in it?

What exactly do you want to edit?
To be "EXACT" i just wanna change some colors in quick panel. Btw i can change it only in the last version of a custom theme i had created but not in the 2nd last or any other i had created before.
See the screenshots of THEME PARK app (THEME PARK is module for HOME UP).
I have been using home up module in s8+ . I had created n saved some themes but wanna make small changes in them. So with themes park module how can i edit n export my old creations( themes)?

Ok i will try Titanium backup but still don't know much about it. Can u guide me how to Extract theme from my phone to Titanium backup apk and then export it?

I searched Rosie.apk and com.htc.resources.apk and i didn't find anything that would change the backgroung in all apps menu. Do you know which file i have to edit specifically?!
No I have not found out which xmls to change. Its not the pictures you have to change the xml files. Check incredible section for "sexy rosie".

I changed the launcher.xml in Rosie.apk. Will upoad and post the link on the first post!

Are you wanting to create a theme for the theme chooser, or edit an apk and flash it to the phone through recover?

But as far as I know only CM 7 and Ginger Villain support t-mobile's theme engine (I might be wrong)

I want create theme with some program in windows, or browser, and then save it in to apk file, that i can install from sdcard.

Try uot kitchen, very easy.

Click kitchen and mod everything you want. Go to the tab that you can upload your systemui.apk and framework-res.apk. Go to summary and submit your work. Click pickup and wait you file appears. Install through recovery. Done.
ADB means Android Debug Bridge. If you're using apk multi-tool or apk manager, it asks for adb. It's very confusing and you may have to set the PATH variable, maybe download the SDK and all that. Use Apktool. I use it all the time for decompiling apks and it's the best for me. You can find the links to download it and the guide here.

thanks......... but i dint mean this anything else......as i have already used this........i have actually changed some.....i meant by editing system ui file or framework file....can i make some changes in it.....so that i can make it or change the way i want..........not the UOT way......pls help ty

Are the images that you added ugly?
Like stretched or something?

Make sure the icons are of the same size and same name....if it's jpg or other format, convert it to png....

U have to replace icons,with original..and the resolution and format should be same..
Example: If the original icon resolution is 48x48 then u should change ur image resolution to 48x48 or near like 52x52 not 200x200 and if the original icon is like Wifi_on.PNG then u have to rename your icon in wifi_on.PNG and then just replace... clear???

I'm trying to edit one of the XML's of the S Health app so hopefully I can discover some way to hide some info from the widget. However opening the said XML file in Notepad++ gives me a bunch of weird characters.. How do I procede?

Hi,
You cannot just pull out the file and edit it. You need to learn to decompile it first and then edit. When done, recompile. Hope this helps ?

Ahh I thought it was the same as when replacing images, just change the file in 7z and resign the app.
How would one go àbout the most easy/fast way to decompile? I am no developer, I just want to edit out some text that is displayed on a widget by removing a couple of ljnes in the XML (I guess), nothing fancy. I don't want to be installing SDKs and what not..

The easiest way is this mate :
1. Download tickle my android.
2. Download java applet 6U25.
3. Framework.resapk and other abc-res.apk.
4. Run tickle my android and decompile.

I think you want to change the text that's shown in CWMR while flashing. For that you should edit the updater script present in META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script.

the updater-script in the meta-inf folder is plain text in a flashable zip and you can just open it
if you are trying to open up anything else for example an xml file in an apk you must decompile the apk first

status 6 means incorrect update script - you have made an error and there is incorrect syntax
I suggest you look at other icon packs and compare updater scripts so you get an understanding on what it should look like
