Can't connect to Verizon cellular (voice / text) - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Was on PureNexus 6.0.1 then clean flashed PureNexus 7.0. Somewhere along the way, I lost my ability to connect to Verizon cellular service (phone calls and text) - can connect to LTE data intermittently. Clean flashed again, same result. Clean flashed BenzoRom 7.1 and same issue. Clean flashed back to PN 6.0.1 and still can't connect to cellular service. Tried with and without root and wiped everything except internal data every time I clean flashed. Tried putting SIM card and activating old Nexus 6 which had worked fine in past (did not flash anything new on it from the last time I was using it as my daily driver) and same issue. Can activate old Samsung S4 lying around which works fine for both data and cellular.
Got new SIM cards (from store then another one from online) - same issue. Weird thing is that when I put the nano SIM card into the S4 using a nano to micro SIM card adopter, the S4 works fine.
When I try to make a call from the phone app on the 6p or 6, it says dialing but never connects.
Any ideas? Anyone see anything similar?

Have you flashed the latest bootloader + radio? You can use newer radios with older roms so no need to downgrade if youre gonna use MM
Link
Radio version: 03.75
Bootloader version: 03.62

Tried flashing the news radio and bootloader, same result. Also tried flashing stick 7.0 OTA zip on top of clean for flashed PN 6.0

Mobile network not available

Hey all,
I recently flashed CM11 nightly (and subsequently back to stock) and discovered I could no longer make or receive calls, but I have 4G (only) data. I am running baseband G900VOYU1ANCG on an SM-G900V (Galaxy S5 kltevzw Developer edition) on Verizon Wireless.
Does anyone have any thoughts? (happy ones maybe )

What radios are you running? Flash the stock radios back.
I am currently running G900VOYU1ANGC. I forgot to mention in the original post that I had made a backup of all of the partitions before flashing CM11, however due no doubt to a lack of due diligence on my part, after flashing I noticed that my backup was not present on my external SD card. Perhaps I reset the device before the kernel had finished flushing its buffer. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a copy of the original developer partitions.
The same thing happened to me. On the same radio version, and have data only.
I've been trying to flash a stock radio in Odin, but it won't stick. Any idea if there's a way to do it using ADB?
You could try flashing system using dd from recovery over adb (do not forget to wipe caches and data). Then remove your SIM and SD card and boot for 5 minutes. Then power off, replace cards, power on and hope. Worked for me (though I tried the sim removal thing before flashing to stock and it did not work.). I am now running albinoman887's CM12 build successfully sans NFC.

[Q] SIM card broke my two phones (can only make calls while just 2g is enabled)

Hi, I recently started having trouble with my gf's phone (Nexus 4 running lollipop 5.0, lte enabled, tmo). It started shortly after I enabled a SIM lock pin on the sim, but not sure if that's the cause or not... The phone started to intermittently drop signal, and would not make calls (it would just appear to be dialing, but you'd hear no ringing and never connect). When I'd restart the phone, I could usually make a call. I tried to fix it by restoring everything the stock image, rechecking the apn, making sure stock radio was installed, etc, but the problem persisted and eventually got to the point that voice calls did not work at all. LTE and data worked to get onto the internet, but once a call was attempted to be made, it'd lose all signal. I discovered eventually that if I switched off lte/4g/3g, and only kept gsm 2g on, I could make a voice call. Next I tried her SIM card in my phone (Note 2 on Android 4.4, t-mobile) and as soon as I put her sim in, my phone started doing the same thing. After switching back to my SIM (that was working just fine, before), now MY phone is stuck with the same problem! (Can only make calls with just 2g enabled). I'm at a total loss. Has anyone experienced anything similar, or do you have possible solutions/ideas on how to fix this?
Flash stock and unroot you'll be fine

I flashed back to stock image a couple of times via wugfresh toolkit, but got the same results each time. I did, however, just fix my note 2 by removing my sim (the one that was previously working), flashing stock via odin (didn't help in recovery), and then replacing the original sim. This leads me to believe that the sim in the n4 is somehow corrupted and once loaded, permanently changes some settings somewhere. (I hope that's the problem, and not the phone). I'll pick up another sim card from tmo tomorrow and try flashing stock again before loading it. Any idea what would cause this? The only thing I did different was set up sim lock on the card, and it seemed to work just fine for a while, till it didn't... Thanks for the help, I'll let you know if the new sim works.
Solved
For anyone who may be having the same problem, here is how I solved it. I picked up a new sim card from t-mobile, flashed a stock rom via toolkit (with the sim card not installed), loaded rom, installed sim, loaded correct apn. Everything works as it should now.

[Q] SIM Card issue

Hi all,
I have a strange issue that I don't know how to fix.
This evening while using my phone I suddenly got SIM card not recognized message. I have tried these things to no avail:
-In "Settings" I can find my networks but my phone won't connect on them
-Powering down, pulling my SIM card out and reinserting it. No change
-Since I'm on CM12 I did factory reset and rolling back on previous versions of Nightly's. Still no change
-Again doing factory reset and installing SlimKat 9.0. No change
-Rolling even more back after another full wipe to SlimKat stable 7.0. Still got "Insert Sim Card"
I have flashed latest modem and bootloader when I migrated from SlimKat to CM12 since I was loosing signal when locking phone and that worked all until this evening.
Can anyone help please?
EDIT:
The model is GT-I9505 jfltexx
Update:
Just installed, again, 2/3G and LTE modems... no change
Inserted SIM card fro my wife... no change
You likely have a hardware issue. But before you go and replace the SIM card slot, revert to a stock ROM and see if that resolves the issue. Start with stock 4.4.2 and see if that works, then roll back to stock 4.2.2 if it doesn't. With luck, rolling back to one of the stock versions will resolve your problem. If it does, then you should be able to migrate back to SlimKat. If it doesn't, it will cost you about $10 USD (€9.41, BAM/KM18.35).
I encountered the same issue, and in my case not only was the SIM tray damaged but I had also lost my SIM unlock. Only by downgrading to 4.2.2 was I able to figure out that the SIM unlock was gone, but it wasn't until I had replaced the SIM card slot that I could do something about it.

Nexus 6p calling issues, please help

Hello,
I have an international version Nexus 6p. While I was in Panama I accidentally removed the OS using TWRP, after rooting. I reinstalled the latest OS, TWRP, root, and used a custom ROM. I was dumb and didn't back anything up.
I couldn't make phone calls or access the internet with my phone on the network I used there, but I could with WiFi so I chalked it up to the ROM. Removed that and did a fastboot factory reset. I still couldn't make phone calls or receive them so I figured it was the network in Panama.
When I got home I still can't make or receive phone calls. I can text, and access the net but the service is very unstable. I am using cricket wireless, and I know it's not the service because the Sim was in my gf's iPhone and worked perfectly, and my friend has cricket and his is stable and works perfectly. I am running the latest Android 7.1.2 and would love some help with this issue.
I have tried flashing a new factory image, erasing modemst1 and 2 through fastboot, changing bands, using a different Sim card, factory resetting in general.
I have not tried another ROM (read somewhere that chroma would fix the issue, but don't really wanna jump back to 6.0.1 unless I have to).
Thanks for any help.

Can't detect SIM card no matter what I try.

I have been fighting with this phone forever. It had Temasek Cyanogen 13 rom on it and everything worked fine. I wiped it and tried to install the Liquid Remix rom and I kept getting a restart when it attempted to connect the SIM card. I flashed a new modem and it was able to boot, but it never did detect the SIM. I tried the 8.1 Lineage rom, I tried flashing other modems and just about every other fix I could find. I even went back to the previous custom rom and still get the same issue. I am at my wits end! Anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong? Verizon Note 3.
Whats weird is that the Samsung Info app now shows my phone model is SM-N9005 when I know it is SM-N900V.
Ask in your phones forum.
Note 3 Verizon
Flash the latest stock ROM to see if that solves the sim issue.
