Redmi 2 on Nexus Experience 10.4 reboots randomly - Xiaomi Redmi 2 Questions & Answers

I flashed Nexus Experience 10.4 on my Redmi 2. After a while, my phone started rebooting randomly. So, I logged it with logcat and got this a moment before reboot (Two logs for two reboots). Any idea on what's wrong?
PS: I'm not a noob and I did flash it properly. The problem is with the ROM.

Sweet, time to test the NEJVK modem in my quest for the best modem of all!
JVT is pretty damn good (my daily driver), and the recent JVC was awful. I can't exactly remember how the old JVK was (months ago), but I faintly remember it was decent.
EDIT: Actually it is NEJVB modem
Is this a new ROM or only firmware update just like BVJVC (Orange)?
If it is just an update for provider specific, then it will be no use for us who are not the users/subscribers.
Thanks a lot anyway
Thanks, I will try JVT .
The phone file is NEJVB instead of NEJVK stated in the first post.
I've just flashed NEJVK for H3G (UK). although it is a provider firmware, but can be flashed to my phone.
I rooted it using Tornado Kernel Aureus Beta 3, convert the system to EXT4, and filesystem to EXT2, overclocked to 1200MHz; then removed all bloatwares using Titanium Backup since those can only be used if we're connected to Three network.
Not sure about the performance. Let's see how it goes.
The NEJVB modem is performing amazing for me (on my stock JVT rom).
Best modem yet! Fast GPS lock (haven't tested accuracy yet, that would kill my happiness lol) and although signal strength hasn't really improved, the signal is much more consistent (especially 3G in my room, it is actually usable now) with no dropouts so far (my room has poor reception).
mmmmm might this a try...
As expected, after short TEST MODE period this FIRMWARE is now released in MAIN CHANNEL.
hi... now a dumb question.. How can i install it... my phone is unlocked. I have use xda unlocking app. My base band is NEJVB 2.3.5.
thanks.
I am not sure why you want to install this, it looks like this is same version as you already have.
You need to have phone drivers from Kies or Samsung_USB_Driver_Installer. You can install firmware using Odin.
It recomended to remove SIM and SD card. Start Odin and setup it like on screenshot.
Power-off phone and disconect it from PC, use samsung 3 button mode (VolumeDown+Home+PowerOn) to enter recovery (download) mode, wait, then connect phone to PC.
Odin will detect yout phone, and now you can Flash from Odin.

Language
This version have pr-br?? (Portugues-Brasil)
If you look for a CSC XEU you should get - Portugues Europe (which is probably not to far from Portugues-Brasil).
As this firmware includes XEU it should be ok (except if you don't like Portugues Europe).
Olivier
Instaled on my i9000t... Seems fine... Dont have pt-br but pt-pt is not so bad...
And the root for this??
Thanks for your work!
There XSE too?

installing gt-i9505 on sgh-i337

Hi everyone!
I would like to know if I can install software from international version gt-i9505 on my sgh-i337 device.
I have bought my S4 a year ago in US as an unlocked phone. It was working fine but when I came to Poland the problems have started.
First of all I have problems with signal strength specially outside the urban areas. The phone shows me that I have a signal but when I want to make a call or text someone I get a communicate that I'm out of signal. I don't have this problem in cities. It also drop calls suddenly during conversations.
In my opinion the problem is different frequencies of network.
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - all versions
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - SGH-i337
4G bands LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800)
LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 17(700) - SGH-i337
Click to collapse
My operator in Poland uses 900 , 1800 and 2100 specially 900 for non-urban areas.
LTE works fine but I can not make video calls because of the differences between used frequencies I guess.
So my question is: if I would be able to install gt-i9505 on my sgh-i337 and is it going to solve my problems with signal strength and drop calls?
I can not upload photos so this is what I have in PhoneInfo:

and after choossing "refurbishment check" I have "it looks like your phone is a refurbished one"
I would not cross-flash ROMs because this may brick the phone too.

Is there a way to tell for certain which build my phone is on?

If I go to my settings > About Phone, it says I'm on build VNS-L23C45B130, but I recently used an unlock took (dc-unlocker) to unlock the phone, so I could use it with AT&T, and it told me it was on c900 rather than c45. It's very possible dc-unlocker was just wrong, but I want to make sure I know the build because I plan on flashing roms on this thing and want to make sure I get the proper roms
The L21/L22/23/L31 is the device model, the Cxxx is the region/operator identifier and the Bxxx is the build number.
Here is a short list about the regions/operators

Do you know what c45 would be then? It isn't on your list, and I can't seem to find it online

Google Play store crashes in loop

Hello,
For a few days the Play store is crashing every time I try to open it and I even get the message when I'm not using it.
It's very annoing so I looked for what was going wrong. I looked at the logcat and I found that there was a problem with the finsky.xml file.
Code:
Couldn't rename file /data/user/0/com.android.vending/shared_prefs/finsky.xml to backup file /data/user/0/com.android.vending/shared_prefs/finsky.xml
So I looked to this file with the shell and I found that there is problems with the permissions.
Code:
lucye:/data/data/com.android.vending/shared_prefs # ls -l

Code:
>chmod 660 finsky.xml
chmod: chmod 'finsky.xml' to 100660: Operation not permitted
I did all of these commands with the root shell.
Is someone there that have an idea of what going with this file ?
Thank you,
Louis.
