S7 Edge Bricked - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I recently (successfully?) rooted my phone, but couldn't make phone calls or texts so I tried factory resetting it. The factory reset worked but I still had the root and I couldnt make calls or texts, so I tried multiple times to unroot it through Odin and it said it worked on my last attempt, but now my phone is stuck on a black screen and a blue LED pops up. I get no vibrations or feedback from my phone. I've tried all the combos to reset, down home power, down power, power home up, home power, all of them. My only hope is to let the phone die of power and recharge it and see if it will work. Does anyone have any ideas? When I plug it in to my computer it wont detect it either.

check your IMEI with *#06#!
when you have no IMEI you need the EFS BackUp...hope you have it.

power button + volume down. When it reboots, quickly get into download mode the same way you would normally. And same as above post, EFS back.. if it's not resolved from factory reset.

I have had this problem.
If you just hold power vol- down it will reboot and when reeboting, just keep holding the same buttons until you get the Download Mode.
If not try holding power vol- up until geeting into recovery, then go trough download mode from there.
You just have to hold the buttons down, it wil maybe restart but just keep holding these buttons trough the restarts.
In download mode you have to do a fresh install with a rom of your choice from Sammobile, orginal firmware.
And remember to never Factory Reset your phone after innstaling ROOT and Recovery.
The best way to do factory reset after these are firmware flash trough Odin.

Download mode is volume down+home button+power button
Recovery is by pressing the volume up+home button +power button till the logo appears and then leave the combo and within a fraction of a second press the volume up+centre button (not the power button now)
Rest if your phone is actually not going in the download mode how in this world did you reinstall the stock firmware?

I follow your instruction on how to go to recovery and I successfully do it. Done factory reset and wipe cache but still it stuck on samsung logo/boot animation.
I can go to download mode and completely reinstall stock firmware but still the same.
Try doing a factory reset and reboot, when rebooting remove the battery and put it back,
Now go to download mode and flash the stock firmware

Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing

I tried to root my phone S7 Edge 6.1.1 just a moment ago using ODIN and CF Auto Root. I got the PASSES! sign in ODIN but upon phone rebooting I am stuck on the Samsung S7 Edge logo screen with text in red 'Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing" up the top.
At this time I am unable to turn my phone off, when I do it just turns back on and goes to the same screen. I can't get into download or recovery mode either.
Any help on how to fix would by greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Also thought I should add, my phone doesn't get registered when I connect it to my PC either, it wont show up in ODIN so I am unable to flash a stock recovery at this time.
It's trying to boot into recovery.
When you say you rooted with CF Auto Root, what did you do precisely? And did you follow Chainfire's specific instructions regarding the lack of screen output during the process?

Thanks for the reply.
I used CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.tar to root.
The steps I used was to simply put my phone into download mode and use ODIN to flash the file mentioned above. That is as far as I got unfortunately. I did this once before, a few month back when I first got the phone with no issues. I remember having to install TWRP but I couldn't remember if I did that pre-root or post-root. But I think that is where I went wrong.
Now I am unable to do anything with my phone. I can't turn it off, get into download or recovery mode. When I hold down VOL UP+POWER+HOME it just resets the phone back to the samsung logo screen.
Any ideas on what I could do?
You used the CF Auto Root file for an S6 Edge.

OH GOD. You're right. I just realized that. I was supposed to have them saved into their own folders but I guess I saved that one too the wrong folder.
So what does that mean for the life of my phone then? Is it toast or is it recoverable somehow?
What is your model? Is it the SM-G935F? If so, first things first, download the correct CF Auto Root file for your device (here) and try again. Press VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME and it should reboot into Download Mode. Then try to flash the correct file in Odin again.
These phones are very difficult to hard brick, especially with something like CF Auto Root so you should be ok.

Yes, it is a SM-G935F. Unfortunately I am unable to reboot the phone into Download Mode. When pressing VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME it just takes me straight back to the Samsung logo where it says "Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing". I'm hoping that once the battery drains completely I will be able to boot into Download Mode again.
Try simply resetting it instead. Press volume down and the power key (don't press home) for around 7-10 seconds. Once it starts to reset, remove your fingers from the buttons very briefly then press volume down, home and power to enter download mode.

That hasn't worked either unfortunately.
I just found this thread from a guy having a similar problem. He just had to wait for his phone's battery to drain completely and then he was able to enter download mode again.
You shouldn't have to though. If you can get the phone to reset at all (even if it's to make another attempt to go into recovery) then providing you time it right, you should be able to get into download mode. Did keeping your fingers on just the volume down and power buttons do anything? Keep them on continuously for up to 20 seconds and see what happens. Did you say pressing vol up & home & power made it reset and try to again get into recovery? What happens if, as soon as the screen indicated it's resetting, you remove your fingers and quickly press vol down & home & power instead?
Anyway, even if you have to wait until the phone dies, getting into download will be possible eventually. Then worst case scenario would be you having to reflash stock back. Or, as would be my preference, flash TWRP then flash a custom rom zip like Superman.
Just to confirm, I take it you selected OEM Unlock in dev options?

I have never had any trouble getting into recovery or download before so I know the method. But just the properly clarify for you I will explain some of the combination I have tried without success. Bare in mind the phone is constantly turned on and idles on the Samsung logo.
I have tried:
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME, the phone resets and goes back to the logo.
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER, same as above.
Hold VOL UP+POWER+HOME, nothing happens at all.
Hold VOL UP+POWER, same as above.
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME, release and repress all on black screen, just goes back to logo.
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER, release and hold VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME on black screen, just goes back to logo.
and numerous other things like random combination to try and enter Download or Recovery mode, which have all failed.
Right now it's just stuck on the Samsung logo and staying there, taking forever to drain battery. I work in the morning so hopefully it is dead by then and I can get into Download mode.
Have already started download stock firmware in hopes that I will be able to flash it after.
Thanks a bunch for your help. If you think of anything else I might be able to try let me know!
Oh wow. 100+ attempts and I followed your last post about holding for up to 20 seconds. I was waiting ~5 seconds and releasing thinking that it hadn't worked.
Finally go into Download mode and will flash stock firmware and let you know how I go.
Thanks again! I owe you a cold one.
EDIT: Was no need to flash stock firmware. Just flashed the proper version of CF Auto Root and it worked. Again, thank you so much!
Fantastic. Hope you get it sorted.
On a side note, you have probably already tripped knox and you will have lost you OS data and possibly even what you have stored on internal storage. If so, I suggest you install TWRP, format data (you will lose everything with this but it removed encryption) and install a custom rom like Superman 1.9 from your external SD. It's better than plain stock and comes pre-rooted with plenty of other mods.
I can't get it to work? What keys did you held down?

recovery is not seandroid enforcing
hello,
my S7 Edge was rooted with cf-auto-root and worked fine but after 2 monthe I've installed LBE_Security_Rel_6.1.1928_A1_DE_v5_signed and reconized the message device is not tooted.
I was not very clever and cofirmed the question "fix the root problem" I don't remember exactly the words. After that root was gone.
I've flashed the stock Fw G935FXXU1APD1_G935FDRE1APC3_DRE but I still have the message "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" after trying to root with CF auto root.
AP:G935FXXU1APD1
CP:G935FXXU1APD1
CSC:G935FDRE1APC3
Is there any way to get root again
Any help on how to fix would by greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Simply hold down Home + Power + Volume Down for 10-15 seconds - don't release when the phone initially reboots and gives the same error, keep them held down and download mode will appear. I have to hold for 11 seconds, a strangely unrounded number.
Hello Guys I have this Same issue Yesterday....... This happens when you flash outdated CF Autoroot. CF Autoroot Updated on 25/08/2016... Download it...
Fix for Stuck in Logo Screen
Just Click and Hold ...... Vol Down + Menu + Power Keys ...... DO NOT RELEASE. IT Will Restart. DONT release. It will restart again and you will be download mode.
i found this during the rooting process. its a bit different to older samsungs on the s7 / s7edge. YOU HAVE TO KEEP HOLD OF VOL DOWN + HOME + POWER until it enters download mode, which can be 20-25 seconds

Phone stuck at bootloader exception

Hello, for some reason my phone got stuck in the bootloader exception. I know I could potentially fix this through odin but I have quite the problem. I use a chromebook! Also Odin is a windows app so I was wondering if there are any other options for me to try to fix my phone?
trying to get into recovery mode/download mode fails as well. Only thing I could do is turn it off briefly (volume down + menu + power) then it goes back into bootloader.
Cant send it in back cause I bought it from a different country. (will visit that country soon but I need to get this phone working for travel/communication purposes)
Are you sure you can't get into Download mode?
I had this problem and it was hard to fix, but after holding -Vol, Home, and Power, after about 8 reboots it worked and I fixed it with odin.
Hold, keep holding these buttons until Download Mode appears.

Power/home/volume up is the combination for recovery, not download. Try again with volume down.

edit: do i have to plug in my phone first with odin? or it should go to download mode without odin yet?

Power off While Stuck on Bootloop

Hello guys, been a while, but I got myself into trouble. For a while I had rooted the phone but one time I rebooted and it supposedly no longer had root. Today I got a notification that magisk updated, so I decided to try it. I booted into recovery and tried to flash. Nothing happened. I tried wiping davlik cache and tried again. What ended up happening instead was that the phone was unresponsive. I attempted to reboot, but instead I got stuck in a bootloop.
I realize the most effective way to get out of it is to flash the firmware via Odin, but since I didn't make a backup I want to avoid that if possible. The problem is that other than the soft reboot (power + volume down) I cannot power off the phone to access recovery mode! I've searched and searched, but have only found ways to soft reset, which doesn't help me access recovery mode.
Is there a way to power off the phone while stuck in a bootloop? Or, alternatively, is there a way to boot into recovery while in a bootloop?
It's so frustrating to not be able to something as simple as a battery pull since the phone is sealed. Is there a way to replicate that to be able to power it off?
Any help would be appreciated.
Hold the power button for 10 seconds.

What if Vol down and power don't work, adb, fastboot and device manager don't see it, any other combinations tried too, wait for full discharge don't option. Help plz
Did you manage to get out of this?
Im really scared i bricked my phone now. Everything was working fine but after i did a normal reboot it suddenly would not start up.
Screen is black and the only way i can get a response from the phone is the soft restart (vol down + power).
I need to get into recovery somehow so i can restore my nandroid backup but vol up + bixby + power doesnt work (i assume the phone is on and frozen or something?)
I managed to fix my phone. After leaving it for 24 hours the battery was fully drained. After charging again i could boot to twrp and restore my nandroid backup.

phone wont stay on long enough to do anything

My note 4 wont stay on not even long enought to login to the play store, it just freezes for a second and reboots.
would it be possible to fix it with a custom rom and theres a way to install without installing any app on the phone
Hey there, you can try to do a factory data reset if the phone boots into recovery mode.
NOTE: A factory data reset will wipe the whole device including the internal storage.
To enter into recovery mode, power off the phone. Then, hold the vol up + home + power buttons together till you see the Samsung splash screen. When the splash screen comes, release the power button and continue holding the volume up and home buttons till it boots into recovery.
Once it's in recovery mode, you can use the volume down button to scroll to the 'Wipe Data/ Factory Data Reset' and then hit the power button to select the option.

Okay. Does it boot into Download Mode?
To enter into download mode, power down the phone. Similar to the recovery boot process. Just that instead of the volume up button, you need to hold the volume down button.
If it does boot into download mode. Does it stay on or give you the same problem?

Maybe you can try installing the firmware through Odin. It may fix things. Else it could be an eMMC failure.
It could be a battery problem. I had kinda the same issues (random reboots that became more and more frequent and at some point the phone barely booted). So i ordered a new battery and problem is solved, phone is up and running again. If you can, try another battery just to be sure that this is your case. Also, the worst scenario is that some people reported random reboots when emmc memory failed. I hope this is not your case
