Hello! Waiting for black Friday to buy new phones, just wondering if the amazon locked screen ad supported versions can still be unlocked to have the ads-removed; or did they patch it up already?
Don't want to go thru the same thing that happened with the Verizon Moto E that I bought, where I bought it after it had already been patched.

Hi Everyone, I've just got Moto X Pure and I have doubts regarding its origin.
Model name is XT1579 - I didn't found no information regarding it
and it has a sign 'G1F' to the right of fhe bottom speaker. just below the screen.
Do you have any doubts if this is developer edition or what?
It has 45Gb of available storage. So this is 64Gb version
What I received from support is
The phone is a Moto X pure - a model made exclusively for the USA market - it is actually a proptotype for a newer model to come.

The only info is from earlier this summer in Asia about some sort of prototype. I wonder if it was actually an earlier version of the ones that made it to the market?

Interesting. Where did you get the phone from?
Quite Interesting. Is your device still packed with SD808? Or SD810?
Its 808, I bought it on hands of some guy in Ukraine, he sais it was bought on US ebay
I want to get the H850 European version looks to be my best option for a unlocked boot-loader and unlocked carrier phone as all the H830 G5's in my area are still locked to T-Mobile and Titan color H830 seem to be non existent.
So I check on eBay and found a H850 but after contacting the seller and asking if it is the European version and finding out it is a US version?, I am back on the hunt...
So how does one find a H850 European version to purchase here in the US?
I would recommend taking a look at Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de to check if they ship to the US, as if they do, you can order the phone there and this also means that you'll definitely receive an unlocked European version of the phone.
My suggestion being an owner of an H850 is to pass on this device for now and possibly look into the Note 7 or LG V20 once it's released. Aside from the hardware being great there are really no projects being seriously headed right now. CM13 is a long way off on account of camera drivers and system framework issues and the modified stock roms really have no performance value since they are basically just stock with a few app changes here and there. There's also no kernels with overclock or other features. I wish I had looked into this more since rooting with Xposed is really the only software benefit I've managed to muster. I should've just opted for the T-Mobile variant since they have root and then I wouldn't have overpaid $200 for the 850 (purchased for $600, ouch).
if u know someone in the uk the EE store sells the G5 at a bargain price of £399 / $520.
you would need to purchase a £10 top up voucher then register and then use that credit to pay the £8.99 unlock code to get the phone unlocked for any sim.
Short of buying a Chinese import with lacklustre skinned software and bad support (LeEco, ZTE, etc) this is a bargain for a 2016 flagship.
Thanks for all the replies. I am still looking for a H830 Titan Unlocked LG G5 but they seem to be a rare one for some reason....
The search continues...
Ended up getting a new H830 already unlocked for $400 in Silver. Was hoping for Titan but silver will do.
So i was looking at a new phone to get and came across this one. The "prime exclusive" version with ads and offers is a bit cheaper than the standard version, though i was wondering if all that can get bypassed by using a custom ROM and thus getting the cheaper one instead of the more expensive one? Thanks in advance.
edit: found a thread immediately after posting saying the prime exclusive version is locked. Nevermind.
Hi,
I got this tablet with 2GB data for £10 a month on Three UK, but have not installed the sim yet.
Does anyone know if once I install the sim will my device get branded by the network provider by replacing the Samsung bootup logo, etc and installing their own.
The reason I ask is because I purchased 2 huawei mobiles (one in contract, one out of contract) which got rebranded by Three and now have the stupid Three logo on bootup and updates authorised by Three.
I don't want the tablet rebranding, so does anyone know if this will happen and if it does can it be easily unbranded. I don't want the device rooting as use if for Sky, Amazon and Netflix.
Thanks
Just received my eBay purchase of a brand new G6. It is unlocked from At&t but still has their embedded apps which don't appear to be removable?
Also the phone will not install an update I just downloaded. Phone got very hot.
Can anyone advise on this please?
