Does anybody have some experience with this one? Is it really a android 5.1 device? They are selling it in Germany as 4.4 version.
I have no experience with this particular model, but Pumpkin sells devices with mixed Android versions. Even their so called Android 6 Marshmallow head unit is full of Android 4 and 5 code and menus. Also they closed down Android so many things aren't usable.
Oh and check their forum, many devices never get any updates to later Android versions, no matter how many customers complain.
i am pretty happy with Joying, but I think that one looks pretty cool

While I certainly wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole (for knowing that regardless of what they CLAIM, its running ancient Android 4.something), I do find the front mounted USB port to be nice. Of course, not nice enough to be worth dealing with the rest of it....

Ok,
that sounds not so cool.
But is the Android version of Joying really Better? What is the difference?

i have had two different Joying radios, and they have been pretty great.
I have this unit in my car now. What does anyone want to know?
I have this unit in my car now. What does anyone want to know?
It seems pretty good, at least as quick as my Moto G4. The radio picks up more stations than my car radio did, Bluetooth seems OK too.
The only real problem so far is that I can't get it to pair to my ELM-327 OBD-II scanner because it doesn't use 0000 or 1234 as a pair code (it needs 6789).
how bout some pics of it installed and various screens
Looking into aliexpress... the same pumpkin unit shows that it is sofia Intel ..so it is expected to be a MTCD Intel based unit.
As it has built-in 3G it is a sofia3gr (wifi only version is sofia3grw)

I did it last night, I did not have time to try a lot. What I noticed change is that before I could not duplicate the iphone screen and now it works. Night mode I have never tried it because the unit is at home connected to a power source. Can I try night mode without connecting to the car?
yes , i suppose you have to connect a 12v wire to illumi wire, to simulate headlights? But i wouldn't want to damage your headunit , so if you don't need it , don't do it

I have been lurking the forums for a few weeks now trying to figure out what head unit to go with. I have pretty much settled on either the latest 7" Joying or the Newsmy NU3001 as my preferred options. Has anybody had any luck getting these installed into a 2007+ GMC sierra with onstar, the Bose system, and steering wheel controls? Joying said the radio won't fit (which I don't believe) and Newsmy hasn't responded yet, which is why I am turning to everybody here. (I have also read through all the questions and reviews I could fine on either system on amazon etc...).
I have heard that I may need a few wiring harnesses from Metra (ASWC-1 and maybe the GMOS-12 or whatever it is). Thoughts?
I have some additional information (which may be helpful for future searchers).
According to the technical folks over at Metra these are the harnesses/items needs to adapt a double din head unit over to the GMC Sierra with the Bose Premium (amplified system) with Onstar and with Sirius Radio and also maintain steering wheel controls.
Double din kit 99-3305
Harness GMOS-LAN-02
Antenna adapter 40-CR10
ASWC-1 retain steering wheel.

I have a 2007 GMC Yukon and was just about to pull the trigger on the "Universal" Joying Quad Core 1024x600 7" screen and NO DVD. (I had even purchased the PAC RP5-GM31 installation harness in preparation to ordering the Joying) BUT I then ran across the Seicane Android Quad Core 1024x600 7" screen WITH A DVD player . http://www.seicane.com/seicane-s127...-3g-wifi-bluetooth-mirror-link-obd2-16g-flash
It had the same specs as the Joying, but it didn't require a special harness, has a better fit and includes an integrated DVD player. The Seicane is built specifically for GMC 2007-2013 Yukon/Sierra so the faceplate has an OEM fit/finish AND it comes with a cambus box so I dont have to purchase a Metra GMOS-12 or PAC GM31 harness. The radio with cambus box plug directly into the factory connectors.
I didn't want to order directly from Seicane in case I need to return it for some reason and have to pay shipping costs back to China, so I found the same radio on Amazon branded by Yinuo. In addition to the Yinuo radio, I ordered a 4-year Square Deal Electronics Warranty along with the radio, so that if I have issues, I just send it to Square Deal and they will fix or replace it. Its peace of mind knowing I dont have to return anything to China if I need something fixed and any repair, shipping or replacement fees are covered by the warranty. Of course, since I got the warranty, I will never have to use it.

Although Amazon said it will take 4 - 6 weeks to deliver, the seller told me it should be at my door within 7 days of ordering, so hopefully I will see it shortly.
I hope to use one of the custom launchers I found here on xda -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Newsmy_CarPad/Custom_Interfaces&ajax=0
That head unit does look pretty good. I am going to look into it in place of the Newsmy NU5002 and other various wire harnesses etc... I just don't like the idea of spending almost $500, when this all began with me wanting to install a backup camera. ha ha! So, now it looks like it is snowballing into something much more expensive and bigger. The NU5002 is $380 and the harnesses will be another $50-$100 depending on where I can get them (ebay and whatnot). If I could get the Seicane one for under $400 I would probably pull the trigger today.
Updates??
Any updates now with a year and a half under your belt? Did anyone ever install the Seicane?
I would be going into a 2013 Yukon Denali. Seems to be limited info on this age range of GMs (oddly enough).

I got the Seicane S127012 for my 2010 Yukon. PITA so far. GPS antenna connection stuck too far out the rear of the unit and was hitting the dash brace.
This canbus they sent me isn't working. I have engine noise thru the system. Can't program my steering wheel controls. Wifi works only when it wants to.
They responded to a few initial emails with info that was of no help and have gone silent.
New norwegian user, so please excuse my english.
I want to instal a android 2-din player in my car. (1999 chevrolet suburban).
Have read alot of your threads in here, but compentence in this field is way to high for me to understand.
Sooo...
Could you please recommend a good player for me?
I want GPS, -Radio (FM RDS and DAB+), -bluetooth with all features, phone, OBD2, spotify etc..., -rearview camera, -a good screen in sunlight, all angles...., -and the volume should be a wheel or physical buttons,
This is the key features im looking for. Might be something I forgot, but I`m sure you gyus will give me good advices.
Budget...... around $2-300.
So far I like the Ownice C500 Octacore I just got. I know it meets all your needs except maybe DAB+. I don't have it so not sure if it's working right on the new octacore. Everything else you ask for is there and working. It might be a little more than 300 though for the car specific unit.
joying 2gb because of support official and unofficial..
ownice have several mistakes: no RDS, long wait for rear camera, not as good support, etc..

Understand not as good support but Ownice definitely has RDS working on the new Octacore, and also fixed the reversing camera start up. Works great on latest Octacore (does not on quad core), I have tested thouroughly as the reversing camera was the only thing holding me back. Joying has it's problems too, but I think they are both good for different reasons.

Hi
i would recommmend to buy a PX5 MTCD rather thn intel Sofia
Even it just has been released the marshmallow version, it couldnt be relaseaed Nougat as intel discountinued the development for this processor.
PX5 is 2GB Ram as well, but octacore and 32GB ROM
The most famous developers for MTCB and MTCD have moved to PX5 , so high support is expected.
The most famous one, Malaysk has moved to hotAudio PX5....so i recommend same manufactureer as well
Additionally, hotaudio has some dicounts on universal units
dimensions to the 2Din universal

sorry i saw it wrong the Erisin ES6041U is universal model :good:
I am new to android hu and I recently saw china have a unit with MTK8665 IPS 10.2" screen 2GB RAM and flash MMC 48GB. Anyone use this type before?
To continue on the same topic. I am looking too to buy a Android HU, read a lot these days. I own a Golf GTI 2005 with 200k miles so I would not like to spend too much (engine is new but still...)
So I am hesitating between :
- the Erisin (https://www.erisin.com/erisin-es6405v-8-android-60-octa-core-car-gps-sat-dvd-dab-for-vw_p760.html), PX5, 2GB ram (about 280$ shipped)
- an old PX3 device 1GB at 188$ (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/8-p...-golf-jetta-car-dvd-gps-navi/32390520155.html)
The thing is I do not need it to be really really fast and the most multitasking I want to do is Spotify + Navigation, should I really spend 100$ more for the Erisin? Is there a huge difference?
Thanks a lot!

You seem to have the same console as me looks good.
I was about to buy the erisin but if you type erisin in Google, it leads to so many bad experiences that I really don't want to spend 1$ there I mean it is the same for all these sellers but Erisin seems to have very unreliable unit and basically no service behind.
If some people have positive experiences to share?
I saw videos on YouTube of 1GB PX3 and it does not seem to be that slower than 2GB PX5. Do you mean in multitasking?

You will regret if going to 1gb ram. Navigation needs lot of ram to load maps and voices. Once mixed with Spotify you will suffer from freezes.

Cant find the dab+ box and antenna for the dasaita unit..... anyone tried to order this?
I have a B6 VW Passat and am based in the UK. I am looking for an Android head unit and the more I look, the less I am sure which to get!
I want a unit to these criteria:
Must look as OEM as possible for VW
Must have physical vol control / buttons (not just touch screen)
As much as possible, it should "just work" (I would prefer minimal need for messing about)
Needs to have radio, bluetooth audio streaming and call support only - anything else is a cool bonus (I do not need a DVD drive)
Of those I've seen, I much prefer the ones like this that look standard (this is an Ownice C500 Octa core)

I have a Joying (old RK3188) but if I would have to buy now, i would either take a Joying with the DigitalAmp (golden Backplate) or the Kenwood 516DABS.
With the Joying i had to fiddle a bit, but with the ROM from Malayk all its okay now.
Maybe it would be a good idea to wait for new Joying PX5 HeadUnits.... but nowbody knows when they will be released - just rumors.
Update:
check also the HeadUnit from VW China: its called RCD330+ and can be found on ebay and aliexpress sometimes.
Whatever you do: Do not buy from Ownice. There units are crap and they offer absolutely no after sale service.
I would recommend you to buy MTCD unit and install Malaysk Firmware on it. In my eyes that is the best combination available right now (unless you want to buy much more expensive units from Kenwood and the likes).

Stupid novice question, but how do I identify an "MTCD unit"?
Thanks!
For simple convenience, are any of the ones on Amazon UK worth buying? Like the Pumpkin units...
This Xtrons PCD76MTVA looks nice, is it a terrible buy?
Although it's probably par-for-the-course on here, I'd probably rather not install custom firmware etc if I can avoid it.

It can be hard to tell which are MTCD units. Ask the seller to confirm it. The Xtron that you linked looks like an older model with low screen resolution and only a quad core processor. You should look for a PX5 octa core processor and a higher resolution.
Regards
Kurt Lund
NB: I have MTCD units for VW from Xtron and Erisin and they both work well.

Thanks I will ask. Also looking at Joying, as they seem well thought of on here.
I have seen plenty of newer octacore ones, but they don't tend to look as good IMO. I definitely don't want one that's all touch screen.
I don't actually know how much performance matters for me - it needs to be responsive and start up quickly (i.e. just work nicely) but I'm not going to be installing lots of apps or doing advanced stuff with it - it will mostly just be used for Bluetooth audio and android auto screen mirroring.
I'm not as keen on it (due to screen size and position of rotary controls) but this is a digital amplifier Joying one as suggested by Grungi which I might just go for if it's going to work well. It has a quad core Intel SoFIA 3GR - no idea if that's good or not!
I have this one: http://xtrons.com/pb86unvp-8-hd-dig...yer-custom-fit-for-volkswagen-seat-skoda.html and it does what you want to use it for. I think you will regret buying a 7 inch model if you want to use GPS on it.

The beast one should be pumpkin, since it at least has parrot Bluetooth. Anyway, the best option is always a pioneer or maybe the Kenwood solution for vw, but it's only available in Europe

My budget is till 400$ , I already saw here recommendations on Joying 4GB , but it seems universal radio, is it fit to my car?
If not , which other models are recommended?
Thanks.

The klyde is an MTC* unit, there is some good support out there...but there are various disadvantages to these, most of them build quality and MCU bugs.

Hey anyone have one of the Android systems of JUNSUN?
I buying Android car system and aside of Joyning
someone recommended me about JUNSUN.
Joying processor is INTEL
JUNSUN is MTK(families on China...)
Both 2GB ram+32GB.
Junsun is cheaper from Joying in 62$
Joying price includes 4G module.
Would be great to know more about Junsun.
How are they compare to Joyning....
Thanks

Joying are filled with bugs and nothing works as they show you on their videos. I've had mine for around 7 months and problems from day one. Stay away from Joying. All you have to do is read the reviews and forums here about all there problems .

Just as bad/another reseller.....perhaps post the manufacturer of the unit.
So I have the 3 options in this image.
Must say that I read good reviews about Joying.
But from the other hand I still want to know:
From the 3 options which gives the "best for bucks"?
Another thing that should be considered: updates.
If a manufacturer does not publish rom updates I think it is big no-no.
Or you (all of you...) think that all of them are just as bad as another. SO better just pick the cheapest in list.
Thank you!
P.S:
Do you know if for Suzuki Splash I need to purchase separately separately WIRING HARNESS?

4G connection problems
Good morning to all; I have a Junsun V1 2g 32g screen with 4G with Android 9 installed in my Honda Accord VII 2.4 gasoline, everything worked correctly until the 4G without knowing why? stop working, change sim card (2 times) and still not working. Can anybody help me ? please.
A warning to all other members for a danger called Junsun:
Never buy a Junsun, never!!!
It's sad, but I bought my wife a radio from Junsun, I bought on aliexpress, I chose a Spanish warehouse. The radio worked for 4 days, then broke down. Junsun lied to me for two weeks and wasted my time, to promise send me an FW. Junsun nothing sent to me.
Then he wrote me to send the radio for repair. But not to Spain (I bought in Spain), but to China. What's more, I was not allowed to send over DHL, EMS, or any carriers. I could only send by mail. This was unacceptable to me because the mail will send it via EMS.
All this takes more than 2 months. I disagreed and I wanted to return the money. Junsun did not want send to me my money.
Now I only have a broken radio that worked for 4 days, and Chinese Junsun just laughs at me.
Of course, I bought a new radio, I won't wait 2 months.
When I complained to aliexpress, they protected junsun that this was okay.
Never buy Junsun, never!!!
Привет всем. Нужна помощь Нужна прошивка для Junsun V1 2 32 ГБ В коробке написано T392. Или прямо в нужную тему
