Hello all,
I just wanted to get some people talking about Flyme OS in the forums, in hopes that a dev might consider porting the Flyme OS rom from the Nexus 5 over to our device.
The official rom was suppose to be released back in aug but never was released, well at least according to a few news post on some sites I read. I've never used Flyme OS so I can't say whether is good or not, but it looks really nice, on par with IUNI OS.
Have any of you ever used it before? Pros or cons? How hard would it be to get a port for it? Has anyone started a port? I know with the release of Lollipop most people have moved on to it, but its worth trying I think. Thoughts?

I reached out to komprado regarding his port, he is no longer working on a port to our device and the thread has been closed. As of right now, I searched but can not find any devs working on a port for this rom to our device.

now flyme3.0 can be posting ，the newest 4.0 cannot

I was using Meizu M1 Note for a week and it is fascinating about system and stabilization.
It will be perfect on OPO

there is a lollipop port on oneplus forum, with some bugs. but beside that, everything works.

trying to bring back the dead conversation regarding flyme os.
I found a link on the flyme.cn website which contains links to the latest build. However the website is in chinese. Not sure whether it will work internationally.
if it is permissible to post links then I shall and the senior members could have a look maybe.
Want to try the flyme os on the great OPO.

Great, thank you! Android 7.1 on nexus 7 is already miracle... So 8.0 will be a miracle in square

Unlikely that there will be Oreo for N7 since google changed kernel requirments to 4.4 in R2

@tomcis147 for new devices rolling out with Oreo ..

last Android 7.0 ROM i tried was super laggy comparing to pure nexus based on Android 6.0 so I'm not even going to try 8.0

It is just a matter of time and we are patched with the October updates plus Krack....using Lineage which matters the most...

I would say yes most of the latest build are updated with October's security patch.

What does the full output say? But from the top of my head i'd say you have a bad download, or unsupported bootloader version.

error 7 is assert error, means it thinks you are flashing on the wrong device

Bluetooth voice talks don't work for me. On Omni rom they works on actual build.

Have you experienced animations lags on latest build too? Fluidness of ROM is considerably worse than April build. I also experienced this issue on latest Alberto AOSP build.

I haven't actually. And i don't think any changes were implemented that would cause this. Maybe a placebo effect.

No, that's no true. I was using latest build for some time and I was forced to move to the older build due lags, which occurred often when switching between recent apps or openings of apps. As I read, culprit is enforcing selinux. Reverting permissive selinux fix the problem. As Alberto said, he has been investigating problem and he'll try to fix it. Nevertheless everything seems fine.

I know i have it to. I suspect google apps issue. I will investigate it.

Like i suspected, it's a gapps issue. Flash Ezio gapps to fix it.

the zip contains vendor.img so yes it requires vendor partition, so flash factory2vendor.

You mean to flash the boot.img that was in the zip after flashing the rom?

I think the zip is corrupted? Otherwise the xo tents usually show for me. Anyone facing the same?

Yeah sometime boot.img gets corrupted so phone boots into bootloader, are you using any custom kernel or any mods after flashing rom? If so then try to flash only rom and boot.

v2f maybe the vendor2factory and maybe the stock android rom as base.

I tried it. Upgraded from latest Pixel Experience ROM. Q booted in less than 5 minutes. Remember its AOSP Q rom with no gaaps . Reverted back.
