I would like to share with you how to encrypt/decrypt when you are rooted. Restart one time the phone after you have installed the firmware and rooted.
Done with H815E two times.
I - Install PKILL tool
Install from the playstore Busybox Installer and install busybox. It will install on your device a lot of command line tools. (you need to be rooted)
II - Install Terminall
From the playstore install Terminal .
III - prerequisites
- Plug-in the charger on your phone
- Add unlock pin to your phone before encrypting
IV - Encrypting
Open Terminal and write
Code:
su
The carret change from $ to #
Code:
pkill -KILL daemonsu
The carret change from # to $
Just after that go settings and security then encrypt / decrypt device (don't wait)
I hope it will help you !
Have fun !
Didn't work on Verizon G4.
Followed all of the above steps on a freshly rooted and wiped Verizon G4 without success. Just sits on red Verizon boot animation endlessly. Really would like to have root and encryption.

Sorry for that, do you have a rebot your phone after having install root ? You need to do it one time.
I just disabled the SuperSU app and it worked.
Thanks! This works for my rooted 818P V110f! Yeah!!!
Nice! This is quicker and less painful then my method! I will try and provide feedback! Thank you sir.

One question remains: Why on earth does LG sends it device into eternal "do nothing loop" when trying to encrypt a rooted device. Why o why? Must be the same evil bastard that implemented the "battery full" sound. He/she wants the LG customers to suffer!
Send from outer space using telepathy
My experience has been the same as keeperoffrisco's. And I, too, have the Verizon variant of the LG G4.
The obvious problem with this method and the Verizon model is that the phone restarts immediately after initiating the encryption process. For this reason, I don't see how killing the daemonsu binary will have any effect.
As soon as the encryption process is initiated, the screen flashes briefly to the green "Android" guy on a white background, and then switches to the Verizon boot screen, and then hangs there forever (until I pull the battery).
I sympathize with @fpsq: why the **** does the phone sit in this state once it's rooted? How is the bootloader establishing that the phone is rooted?
I'm really eager to find a method for encrypting a rooted Verizon LG G4!
You can. My rooted + encrypted LG G4 is right beside me. Have a look at these links for instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62457999&postcount=1919
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62156629&postcount=1468
Basically it is:
"You should NOT root via the method here described. UNLOCK your bootloader, encypt, start TWRP. Get password enter screen. Ignore that screen TWRP does not work properly. Tell TWRP to reboot system. Swipe to "yes install SU" Back in GUI install rest for SU from Play Store. Not to hard once you done it. "
To be able to decrypt once you are already rooted you need to uninstall root, then supersu + busybox and the like and then decrypt.
If this does not work you need to convince your device you never have been rooted (RCT bypass). The instructions for the LG G2 work just fine and can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/general/lg-rct-bypass-t2818441
Sometimes it is usefull that LG is only updateing software if it really really has to. So a lot of old and unchanged code in the excuse that servers LG as an Android skin. :cyclops:

Thanks a lot for the reply to my question! I really appreciate it.
My understanding is that LG provides a method for unlocking the bootloader only on the H815 model. I have the VS986.
Am I missing something? Thanks for any clarification you may be able to provide!

Yes, right now LG provides a bootloader unlock only for the European variants of the H815 - so no Singapore or US variants and no Verizon, Dual Sim variants or whatsoever etc.
If you didn't take an OTA you might have a chance to use the unofficial bootloader unlock that is due to come out with the official release of the LG V10 on the 20th of October.

Do NOT buy not unlockable Phones. Buy the LG G4 H815. How on earth should manufactures ever learn if you keep throwing money at them? By the way, almost all carriers where infiltrated by the NSA. No one received a praise from the NSA like Verizon did for "collaboration". Verizon is the cheap hooker that gives ****s away for free. While it is you being ****ed. If you still use their services, you don't seem to mind, do you?
Works this method on Marshmallow (with rooted Kernel) too? After Encryption root becomes active again? Thanks.
S6 G920V
Fresh recovery of stock 5.0.2, then PingPongRoot. Followed your instructions and it worked perfectly. Thanks.

For me it does not, sadly.
Has anyone an idea?
I've Systemless root, kill the deamon but the encryption process stills hangs on reboot.
Thank you in advance!

Ok, after some hours of trying, testing and failing I've found a solution.
Basically you have to install twrp first, encrypt the phone and then root it with the systemless supersu.
In my case, twrp still fails to decrypt the /data partition, even i've installed it as the phone was unencrypted. So I've to install the Super-su zip from the external sd card and then it was no problem .

I just need some help. I have been using a guide which was working perfectly at first but then it failed due to a faulty battery. Got a new battery and its still not rooting properly. If anyone is will to share some guidance I would really appreciate it.

Why would root fail due to a flauty battery?
Install a custom recovery first then flash SuperSU. Use Odin. Check YouTube. Flash twrp. Then flash SuperSU. You have a custom recovery and root. If you want only root try alps like kingroot.
The faulty battery didn't have enough power to turn the phone back on after the root made it reboot. It just kept putting it into a bootloop.
The guide I was using said to use Kingroot to temproot it (it rooted once and then got stuck in the bootloop, which is were the phone is currently now) and then SuperSU to perm root it but now I can't even get more than 55% with Kingroot before it shuts itself down.
I thought the bootloop was my fault from ****ing with it so I flashed twrp onto it and it now has a little broken lock that says custom over it but the twrp commands don't come up so I still can't put the ROM on it.
If your on 5.1.1 better use kingoroot for a high success rate and after that you NEED to unlock bootloader first and then flash twrp. If you dont unlock bootloader you cant flash twrp.

Why would you use Kingroot or Kingoroot if not to unlock the bootloader? Neither will give you a stable root and both have the potential of calling home to China with your personal data.
If you need to unlock your bootloader there are threads in this subforum that will tell you how to do it. However, I'd strongly suggest that you do some serious study into what you're doing and why before you attempt it.

My roommate from college was telling me to do this and was helping me but he did a half as way of explaining this stuff so thats why I came here. The Kingroot and Kingoroot is to unlock bootloader? I thought they were for a temproot? Not to be a pest but would you be so kind to explain?

You need temporary root at which time you can deploy the exploit that will unlock the bootloader and give you full root. That's what Kingroot or Kingoroot do for you. What they may or may not do for you is give your phone cooties and call home to China with your personal information.
Can I hold your hand and walk you through rooting your phone? Yeah, I could, but I won't. The guys that developed the exploit think it's a good idea for someone to have at least a clue as to what they're doing. I happen to agree with that. Rooting is fairly safe for your phone so long as you're willing and able to follow directions exactly.
Read up on the process of rooting. There are three or four threads in the general section that tell you how. If you think you're up for it, do it.
I have a Sprint Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935P running on 7.0 and have been looking for a way to root my device. I was looking around the cf autoroot website and you can customize your own root package for your device. They list my device on there and it lets me build an odin flashable root package for it. Will this work? Or will it brick my device? It even lets me pick the exact device, and android security patch level and build version that is currently installed on my phone. Ive read that this phone has a locked bootloader that is locked down tight and its hard to get unlocked. This says
BOOTLOADER UNLOCK
If your bootloader is not unlocked, depending on the device, it may be automatically unlocked (wiping all data), flashing may fail, or the device may brick altogether.
So will it unlock my bootloader and root my phone? or will it not work? I havent seen anything about this method when i just google "sprint galaxy s7 edge root" and i dont see anything about it on this forum, i figure if it worked that more people would be talking about it and using it. Any advice? should i try it? it also gives links to the stock boot and recovery images, and i also have a copy of them saved on my pc.
give it a try, the worst thing that will happen is you will brick your device. Then you will have to play dump and get it replaced.

It won't work. There is a thread here about rooting. You need a special boot image and it is unstable.

I want to remove 'Unlocked bootloader warning' which displays whenever I power on my phone(zenfone max pro m1 4gb). In one of my previous phone I overcome this problem by flashing logo.bin file. So, can this bootloader Unlocked warning be removed by flashing original splash partition? If yes, please provide the twrp flashable file or suggest some other method to do so.
+1
Yes we need it. I also had this on my moto x pure

Same problem here..that warning kinda annoying.

Relocking bootloader
Hello, I tried to root my lenovo k8 note twice but i was not successful to do so. Later, i discovered that banking apps didnt worked anymore even though my phone was not properly rooted(as per apps like root checker and universal unroot). I think its probably becuz of unlocked bootloader or may be encryption that i removed before formatting while in recovery. But i'm not sure and now, i dont want to root my device. Is there a way to make it as it was before i tried to root it? Any help is appreciated...

Check this thread, and follow local update method, then you need only of a command to lock the bootloader:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/how-to-update-return-to-stock-oneplus-6-t3870795
I just locked the bootloader for my OnePlus 6t. Follow the steps given below.
1. Backup all the important data. I am not responsible for any data loss!!!
2. Remove security lock screen (pin/pattern) or any thing
3. Download the stock rom from https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlus6TOxygen_34_OTA_020_all_1904032212_38e22c8b9abd42e3.zip
and transfer it to your phone.
4. Boot into twrp recovery.
5. flash the downloaded zip
6. Once done, reboot the system.
7. Now, boot back into the fastboot. (you can enable advance restart from developer mode for easy boot into fastboot)
8. Run fastboot oem lock
9. You will be presented with two options on phone screen. Select the one that says lock the bootloader.
10. It will wipe everything.
11. Once you in the system, enable developer mode and make sure that oem unlock is turned off. If not, turn it off and restart your phone.
And, you are done.
Let me know if it helps or if you have any question/concern.
MDM Tool in my opinion the easiest and quickest way to go back to 1000% stock. It will re-flash every partition on the phone so it's like brand new again. Using the MSM Tool guarantees that everything is back to stock and should restore the Widevine version back to L1 or whatever it was originally.
A question please
Once you lock again your phone, does it loose the root????
I mean, I have a Xperia 10 with the bootloader unlocked , it is root as well. Now root permissions for special aps work fine, but Google Pay is unusable, it does not work anymore. I hid root with xposed framework and rootCloak, but Google Pay still does not work now because the bootloader is unlocked...
As you should know, it is possible to lock the phone again... and many of those phones that relock their bootloaders keep the root permissions...
However , in my case, with Xperia devices (bq and xiaomi happen de same) is you lock the bootloader again, the phone resets, everything dissapear and root is eliminated. What is a really disaster.
As you have heard, the majority of phones, if you lock them again the root continues working, at least the apps that you gave them root permissions they continue working as they used to. But in my case this is different....ç
So please,
Is there any possibility to Lock my bootloader again without loosing the Root in my Xperia?????
Thousand of thanks!!!!

This is the only Thread where I could find some information about locking a bootloader again. Yes , this is dedicated to xiaomi 6t, but locking bootloaders is something common.
The only thing I want is to lock my Bootloader again without loosing Root permisions. Xperia devices seem to RESET everything when you lock the booloader automatically...., but perhaps there is another way.... a possibility to lock the bootloader without the phone is reset (loosing root permissions) ....
I asked for some help here. I regret any inconvenience that could may be caused on this thread with my message.

Nobody have your phone here how could we help you? Each phone has its specific behavior
If you relock a OnePlus phone you reset everything, like when you unlock it and it's logical. A locked bootloader is meant to ensure safety of data, safety that can't be provided with root access. Locked BL and root are antinomic.

Thank you for your message and understanding. So in Oneplus devices happen the same. So once you unlock the bootloader you loose Google Pay forever because it does not work wit BL unlocked...
Some users suggested me to lock again the bootloader,
Imagine:
- I become Root. Then I modify some apps
- I give to some apps root permissions.
- I lock the bootloader again.
- I won't be able to modify my phone anymore, but all those apps that were given root permissions, Will they be kept in the phone although it has BL locked again.
would it be like this?
or all changes you did while being root would dissapear with everything?????
If So... there is no exit what I see..., We have to choose between being Root users.... or being stock with Google Pay. It is a Pity.
I was not sure if all Phones reset and erase everything when you lock the bootloader .... but as I can see here, this is the reality. Root users loose Google PAY definitely.
Is there any option to solve this??
thanks again for your attention.

Does google pay work??? What did you do in magisk exactly to achieve that???
I rooted my xperia using Magisk..., is there any tutorial or info that you suggest to me to follow ? or what should I do in magisk options???
I have 10 days with my phone stopped, trying and trying to make Google Pay works....Maybe this is happening to me because my Xperia uses Android 9.0.... or Magisk should make google pay work even being in android 9.0?
First Google pay recognized Root, and the app stopped working. I hid it using xposed and RootCloak
Then, Google pay recognized Bootloader. But now... I dont know what to do to hid bootloader unlocked for Google..., Google pay recognises it is unlocked... a disaster and a nightmare for me, I dont know what to do...
