Mate just got an 8gb Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) and first thing I tried with it was to force adoptable storage on it using sm list-disks, sm private method, however when I'm using adb shell into the phone or running a terminal emulator it says "<stdin>[2]: sm: not found" no idea how to fix this tbh, any help would be greatly appreciated

you could use xinternalsd xposed module i used it to make High End Graphics Games data's on SD card and every thing works good until now but before you use xinternalsd xposed module use this app (SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD) to allow to apps to write on SD Card

Hi. Did you use SuperSu v.2.78 with TWRP 3.0.2 and Odin 3.11.1? There is a warning that you shouldn't install SuperSu from twrp it will bootloop.. I rooted my SM-j320FN about a week ago with no problems.

You both ignored the instructions. You need to flash the patched boot image.
Also for adoptable storage you need to flash my adoptable storage enabler patch.

Hey guys!
Is there any way to get adoptable storage working on J320F? I tried to find out but I'm unsure.
Not familiar with Samsung phones...
I'm asking for a teacher of mine who needs more internal storage on his J3.
The phone is running on Lollipop 5.1.1 and he tried to activate adoptable storage via ADB commands...
But I think he needs to flash MM rom or higher for adoptable storage, right?
A little help would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Sven

Hi Guys,
This is my 1st Thread on xda, hope i am Sharing in correct section. And English isn't my 1st language.
Few days ago i Bricked My N910F during the Odin Flash, It rebooted and never booted again, Still in that state, Tried almost everything posted here and on other forums. Debrick image Creator etc. in the process i found an official guide from Samsung for Note 4 International models, ( It didn't helped me yet), Sharing here so somebody else get benefit from this and give life to Note 4.
There is a PDF guide and a pit file for Note 4.
1) Boot Recovery Guide_Qualcomm_APQ8084 (Includes SM-N910F) Rev 3_0
2) APQ8084_boot_recovery_v2.pit
Please share you experiences here.
Anybody? need help, i am missing something in this guide, unable to recover my N910F

Or any other device would work ? Also do i have to install completely new software to the "normal device" before creating the sd card ?

Normal means, a working device - similar model.
Better to do a factory data reset on working phone (after backing up) and create debrick image (it reduces the time and space needed on SD card).
If it does work, do share your image to others.

I don't know if you have found out anything on root or not. I was looking at this phone just a moment ago, first thing I do is search XDA, see if any development is going on. I found this: (along with yours)

Seems this guy lucked out and has gotten kingoroot to give him temp root and he tried, & succeeded getting it replaced with cfSuperSU and binary so that it stuck!
Hope this helped ya!

If you're just having storage issues get a big memory card - at least 32 gb - and research Adoptable storage. I'm stock but it's helped tremendously with memory issues.

Hello
Here is the easiest way to upgrade to 160721 for those who have TWRP already installed
This is the TWRP clean image from my phone in english language with root.
1. Download https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2P_ip9hksA-b3dmSjVUam04Qk0
2. Unpack and place the folder to your SD card where TWRP images are held
3. Restore the image with TWRP to your phone
4. Reset the android and choose desired language
Successfully tested by daniyalhasan http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68277575&postcount=471
In case of troubles i hope daniyalhasan can help.
I think it is enough to restore only: Boot, System and System image and do TWRP standart wipe: Data, Cache and Dalvik - but I am not shure. Maybe some brave user can test and report
It it will work this way I can make smaller image
Aw... shoot....
I wish I'd checked here before using QFIL to update to S288 this morning and ended up with having to reinstall everything.... well there you go, lesson learned.... always check and recheck on XDA before doing anything....
(I was already on S285 with TWRP when I decided I want to update to S288 even at the cost of having to redo TWRP and Root.... )
I got bluetooth crash when I enable bluetooth.

Looks pretty identical to my C72. When view from the back, card slot is near top left corner ( sim slot near right top corner ). It would be completely stupid to leave this place empty.
BTW I recommend you c72. 3GB vs. 2GB RAM makes difference.

Hi All,
I have a Samsung J3 SM-320ZN, I have read heaps of posts and are trying to flash TWRP onto the device and then via PC root my device. The issue I'm finding is that it appears that I do not have the specific TWRP file for the ODIN transfer, it comes up with PASSED, but when I try launch Recovery, I hit a dead end. My only thoughts are is that I'm using the wrong TWRP file that is not compatible TWRP for this device. Is there a specific one for this device or an alternative.

If you have a nandroid backup or can find your current firmware on sammobile (in case it goes sideways) you could try the routing method for the J320FN, the specs seem very similar so it may work.

Very bad info.
Dead end means what... The device self destructs , it disappears in a puff of smoke, it grows legs and runs away?
Explain yourself in proper detail if you want real help.
Have any of you been able to root this device? I've tried several of my usual PC root programs and they all failed.
I'll look into J3020FN as suggested but there's little info (that I can find anyway) on ZN so it would be great if someone posted their method.
Why in the hell do Aussie phones have such issues btw? This is my second phone that seems to have random/rare issues.
Having searched with no luck so far, has anyone got a working root for the SM-J530F yet?
