I had many Android phones and usually when I bluetooth stream from any phone, my car's head unit shows the artist name, song name, and the album name. With Le Pro 3 when I connect the phone for audio streaming, the screen gets stuck on Phone is Connected and doesn't go to the more advanced screen to show the song info. Did anyone have this issue and is there any way to fix that?
Using it with 2016 Mercedes HeadUnit and Spotify. Works perfect even better than Samsung galaxy s6... It connects a bit faster and sound is perfect, stable etc. I'm on .018s official Rom without Root
Jeep GC 2014 better than Samsung Note 4.

I used Pandora in my car the entire drive to work (25 mile drive), and I had no issues with Bluetooth or its display on my car system. I'm in a Honda Civic 2016.

I'm able to connect my Atrix to my JVC double din in car stereo system via bluetooth and it connects and pairs just fine. The problem I have is that the music "skips" or loses sound every few 20 to 30 seconds. It plays the whole music file but seems to drop out here and there. My old tilt 2 played on this same jvc beautifully using bluetooth. But the Atrix cant keep up? It happens no matter if I play music files through the stock android music player, or Power Amp player. What gives?
I also have a JVC Kw-Avx810 with bluetooth adapter installed. I have the same problem, for calls it works perfectly but for music its a bitt frustrating to hear music skipping each 30 seconds. Sometimes I am able to hear the music without skipping and that happens when I first play the music on the phone and while the music is playing on the phone I turn on bluetooth on the phone and the after 10 seconds it begins to stream the music to the Jvc Unit without any problem. I do that every time that I wanna hear music on my Jvc unit. Havent had any more issues so far.
I use it for my ford sync and at times it will do strange things that my nokia n95 never did but for the most part it works well...

I had a similar problem when I had my streak. It was because I was pairing Audio with one device and bt phone with another. If you are doing this it will cause that. I use my Sony stereo just fine, will disconnect occasionally, but quality is great.
I use my atrix with my prius, and so far so good.I haven't had disconnect issues yet.
I think it's something JVC could probably fix with a firmware update. The atrix streams just fine to both my Sony and Kenwood headunits.
I have the same problem.

http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/english/car/bluetooth/2007.html
The key terms: "Usable but not stable" , although it was not tested with Atrix, it is evidenced on both HTC and Motorola phones.
Great move JVC .. you've made your product useless to me and tarnished your reputation at the same time. Couldn't get your guys to write a new firmware ... Cant get me to buy another one of your products.
The same looks very like it will be true with Motorola's Andriod phones. Both JVC and Motorola will soon be wiped off my present or future ownership map. Woooo
Mine drops out/ goes silent / loses bt connection about once every 8-12 minutes when connected to my sony head unit (mex-bt5100). I turn off bt then back on, then restart my streaming radio.

I have a jvc double din unit too. I don't experience any issues with audio... however the phone is a bit garbled when connected.
Have you tried moving the bluetooth dongle to the front USB port?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
i Have a single DIN (AVX33), the bluetooth is built-in so there is no dongle.
I read quite a bit about this problem .. it is related to the phone hands free profile sending signals to the headunit in a way that the headunit cannot handle without disturbing audio. It is exasberhated by low signal strength (both bluetooth signal and GSM signal), and also by the fact some andriods will give equal transmit priority to these hands-free signals that it does streaming audio. This is why turning wifi off helps a little (reduces interference). The signals that are interfering with streaming audio are the ones about battery life, and GSM signal strength. As signal strength chagnes, the phone sends out a new value despite the headunit not needing to do anything with it. This is what interupts the audio consistently but irregularly
End result .. it can be fixed by software adjustment on the andriod (do not send updates when streaming audio .. unlikely with Atrix unless Moto gets their thumbs out of their asses), by software adjustment on the receiver (unlikely as JVC is a **** company that does not care about my woes), or by mitigating the problem as I appear to be forced to do. I do this by turning off the "phone" porition of the bluetooth. Or by starting the music and THEN connecting to bluetooth. Unacceptable to me but I have no other options.
I f**king hate how complex our electronics have become and how consumers are powerless to fix these problems DESPITE the fact some of them have a higher level understanding of what the problem actually is. (therefoer I will not be purchasing anything from JVC or Motorola ever again. They prevent me from solving problems and refuse to fix them for me.)
Has anybody used the Galaxy S4 to stream audio over Bluetooth from various apps to recent Toyota non-GPS head units?
Currently I have a Droid DNA, and it will not stream audio from apps like Audible, Dog Catcher, Netflix, Dish Anywhere, or even Play Music. I have a 2012 4Runner without the GPS head unit, and it seems to be the case with most recent non-GPS Toyotas. Phone calls work fine. This has become a bit of a deal-breaker for me, but I don't want to make the jump if I'm going to run into the same issue.
Any experience or testing will be much appreciated.
I have a 2012 camry and corolla with no issues at all using play music and pandora. Camry has touch screen no nav...corolla is a garbage unit.

No problem here on my Camry 2012 non GPS unit. I've noticed that with the new update to google music, some songs are annoyingly choppy. I've re-installed the app and it still sounds the same. I'm going to try to set a new connection, I hope I don't have a faulty phone.
As for your problem go to Settings>Bluetooth>Click on the Gear Icon on the paired Bluetooth Radio>Make sure that Call Audio and Media Audio is both checked.
I have the same issues with my Toyota Tacoma 2013, tomorrow I will go with my dealer to figure out if need some firmware update.
In my case the phone pairing and works only for the call not bluetooth audio streaming, the unit try connect but the audioplayer disconnects right away.
I installed one app SoundAbout to set up the bluetooth behavior but not works still.
Let me know if you found something, also this forum has the same issue thread

I have always been disappointed that Android doesn't natively support Bluetooth Data when streaming audio. I therefore tended to stick to Samsung, as they saw fit to include the facility in many of their phones. I just bought an HTC One with the intention of returning it, if I did not get track information sent to my Nissan Leaf car audio display. I am pleased to report that it does work quite well and I am currently using the modified Spotify XDA apk with quite reliable results. I deliberately haven't put any of my own music on the phone, so the car seems to launch Spotify as the default music player.
Thank you. Unfortunately my car's bluetooth unit is standard and not premium therefore it only displays "BLUETOOTH-AUDIO" on the head unit rather than the track's name, so I cannot confirm this. I connected my older Galaxy S3 to my friend's premium bluetooth unit, though, and it did display the track information correctly.
I can confirm it works.
Subaru Kenwood based head unit.
sassafras
I can also confirm that it works with a pioneer 940BT headunit. Love seeing the trackname and artist.
Can anyone confirm that song metadata shows up on their car stereo when streaming over Bluetooth? I have a Kenwood deck that pairs and streams fine, but metadata are never displayed. Before I take it up with Kenwood, I want to confirm that the feature does in fact work with other units (and thus isn't a problem with the phone). Thanks in advance!
Works with my Toyota Avalon.

It depends on the car stereo. In my work truck (300 series Hino) my Bluetooth connects automatically & I can just press play on the stereo to start music & the album art and other metadata show no problems.
But in my 2013 KIA sportage, I have to manually connect to the phone every time & open the music app I'm using & start playing music from the phone first. And I get no info about the music at all.
Frustrating to me, because the KIA stereo is by far the better of the two & a year newer.

So frustrating. This is the fourth phone I've tried with this deck (Nexus 5, Moto X, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P) and just can't get metadata. Grrr!
Having the same issue with the Sony double din unit in my Ford Escape. None of the players I've tried show any song info on the deck. It works find in the iDrive in my F30 though.
Never had this issue with my Xperia Z3.
I hope someone comes up with a fix.
Both my 2013 Subaru BRZ HU and the Pioneer AVH-X2700 in my Sequoia work just fine with Google Music. Neither display album art but I don't think the HUs support that.
Works perfectly with my '14 Ford Fusion SE
I have the 128gb 6p and it connects just fine on my Pioneer FH-X720BT. Phone calls route thru the system and caller info is displayed just fine. However, my problem is that it shows the track info for the first song but when the next song plays it still displays track info for the first song. I can play through 20 songs and it's still stuck displaying the track info from the first song. It does this with Google Music and Amazon Music. That's sort of similar to your issue, anybody else have that?

I have that same problem with my Nexus 5x on my Pioneer DEH-8700BH. I noticed it only does the no song update only with music streamed via internet radio through several apps. The song name works, however, when the music is physically saved to the phone. Weird...
Interestingly, I have the prior version of this Pioneer radio in my other car and it works just fine at all times. It's the DEH-8600BH.
No fix that I know of. It's very frustrating, I called Pioneer and they blamed the phone, then I called Google Nexus and they blamed the radio. I am very angry and hope it has something to do with Marshmallow. It works just fine with my brother's Android with Lollipop...
Hopfully a patch comes out soon.
Works great on my 2012 Honda civic.
I was looking forward to a solution..
My stock Nexus 6P shows no metadata in my 2012 Volvo V50, however, when I flashed CM13, metadata shows just fine.
Honestly, I dont know if caller ID worked in neither roms but I'm going to try it out this weekend.
I guess the BT driver is the issue?

That happens to me on occasion. When it does, I pause the music ( I use the button on my steering wheel or radio panel) and push play again, and the current song comes up. I also had this problem with my Galaxy S4, but it happened more often.
fixed!
It's fixed! I flashed the February 2016 update and now my phone displays metadata on the car stereo!

Noob question,
You were able to flash the update on a rooted device/AOSP ROM?

I"m not rooted. Just unlocked the bootloader and ran flash-all from adb with the feb2016 update.
I just got my 6P beginning of June.
First thing I did was pair it to my Kenwood radio in my car (KDC-BT858U).
I am seeing the same issue where all the controls work fine, there is just no metadata on screen.
My 2 BlackBerry phones have not problems (Passport and Classic). Both these show the metadata always.
I then paired the 6P to a Parrot Mki-9200 and on this device the metadata does show up...
Unfortunately it looks like it is a compatibility issue...
I thought BT metadata is supposed to be a standard... should be backwards compatible...
or is there some settings missing somewhere in the code for certain radios??
I got a 2015 lancer and my 6p won't connect to it...I know it not the car cuz my girlfriend s5 running 6.0.1 works on it anyone else have this problem or a possible fix?
Was going to make a post myself about some Bluetooth issues I'm having with regard to my car. Mine connects, but I lost skip functionality and I no longer see song/podcast/media information like song, album, artist, etc.
I was able to get it all back by removing both my phone from the car and car from the phone and re-pairing them. But the next day it all went away again and I had to re-pair. Today I noticed that while I have the skip and media information it does not show the elapsed time like it used to.
All in all BT is buggy and not working correctly between my phone and car.
cpope-11, have you re-paired your device to the car yet?? I have to remove both and then power both down and back on in order for them to pair, sync and work somewhat correctly.
