Opened the Google Cast App a couple of weeks back and since then got stuck up with this notification permanently. Tried to uninstall Cast and restarted device several times but nothing helped.
Anyone has this issue? Would be great if anyone knows how to get rid of this.

From what I understand it's a Facebook bug. Long press the notification and it should show Facebook is causing it.
You can cast without any issues by going to display and cast screen.

When I try to download apps it just says "Downloading" and the progress bar never moves. If I go away from the app store and go back the download button is back because the download never actually started. I'm rooted and on stock 4.3, and have "unknown sources" checked. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Amazon app store and it's the latest version. Anyone else having this issue or have any idea how to fix it?
Not here.... everything is working just fine on my end.

Anybody else having this issue? Not sure what's triggering it. Just happens randomly. Doing multiple restarts fixes it. Sometimes the screen just goes wild even.
I'm on stock and unrooted by the way. I've already factory reset my phone to try to fix it. Still spazzing out.

Hi,
Take a look in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521663.
Same issue as yours in post #89 and #112...

Did you ever figure this out, or did you end up sending it in for a warranty repair? Curious as I'm running into a similar issue now on my Sprint variant.
Anyone see this message without holding the app switcher button?
It just randomly appears, even when my fingers are no where near the capacitive buttons.
If the current app supports it, all of a sudden I have split screen view when I don't want it.
Anyone know if there is something I can disable in package disabler to turn it off? I don't ever use it.

I found an app to turn it off. Yay!

I installed a theme from the theme store and for some reason it stopped. Same for my wife. Can't understand why this wasn't fixed in the update. Seems like an issue with everyone.
The newest Software Update fixes the random activation of SplitScreen.
I've never had this issue.
Can close the thread. Still don't know why it happened but a restart fixed it.

Is this a known thing? I first noticed it in the Google Messenger app but it seems to have spread to most apps. I'm running stock (MPH24.49-18) without root on Verizon.
Included Tapatalk screen as an example, can barely read the recent changes block in the play store due to the gradient.

Ok, that's really strange. Phone had been running for 400+ hours so I went ahead and restarted it. Now everything looks fine again... even the screenshot I attached to this post.
Do you guys get this in Google maps? See how the arrow at the top is cut off? Even if I turn the notch back on, the arrow bleeds into the notification bar.

I had this issue actually. However for me it came after installing a custom rom. I tried everything to fix it, but couldn't figure out what was causing it so I ended up flashing a different rom and haven't had that problem since. Sorry I don't have a fix for you.
Looks normal on mine
Updated to 9.013 and the issue is gone now.
