Adaptive Display + Screen Sleep Settings - Moto G4 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I'm on stock with Xposed and ElementalX Kernel.
I turn off Adaptive display and set the Screen sleep time out to 30 seconds.
After a while ( an hour )it resets it's self to Adaptive on and Sleep after 30 minutes. This is really annoying as each time I have to re set it again. Haven't had this issue with other devices ( N5, 6P, Oppo 3, M8).
Anything I can do to make my settings stick?
Thanks.

How u enable 4g on both sims?

Time Without Sleeping

Currently running TDJ's CyanogenMod 7.2 and it seems my phone will not go into sleep mode. It has been off battery for about 7 hours time spent without sleeping is at about 6 hrs and 50 minutes and I have barely used it. I noticed that the running services are pretty much only Facebook (refresh and notifications disabled) and Maps. So why wont the phone go into sleep mode?
I'm not sure this will help, but it's worth checking the "Stay awake" setting in Settings > Applications > Development.
It wasn't enabled and since it isn't charging I don't believe it would matter. =/
What about your "Screen timeout" setting?
Screen timeout is set to 1 minute, but I always lock the screen on my own.

*URGENT* Screen Timeout!!

I seem to have a problem with my Huawei Nexus 6P running 6.0, Pure Nexus ROM, Elemental X Kernel and Xposed. My Nexus doesn't seems to sleep whenever notifications comes in while in Lockscreen. I have my sleep timer set on 30 seconds which works when I unlock the phone and a very few times while in lockscreen. I believe this (screen) is one of the sources who is draining my battery in a big way. I don't seem to find any option in the display options in my ROM nor in my Phone settings which can re-establish the lockscreen sleep to it's normal way. I ask for help due to the big battery drainage I'm having right now.

phone won't enter sleep on it's own

All,
I've got a stock Nexus 6P, Android 6.0.1, build MHC19Q.
Sometimes the phone will go to sleep and sometimes it won't. In the settings, Display Sleep setting I have 30 seconds as the value, but I've seen my phone stay on for way longer, sometimes until I hit the power button.
I've tried several changes to the time but it doesn't seem to help the times it stays on, it just changes the time for the sleep when it does work.
To explain exactly, when I stop using my phone and I'm on the home screen, if I leave the phone alone for several minutes, it will not sleep, no matter what value I put in the setting. Other times it seems to sleep without a problem.
I've not been able to determine if some app is holding it awake, and I don't see any pattern the would point to any other condition that keeps the phone awake.
I looking for additional ideas to troubleshoot the problem, it just stays on and runs down the battery.
Ideas?
MB
Download and install GSAM. It will tell you specifically which app is keeping the screen on.
If it days Android, System, or Media Playback is the highest, it may be a tweak / custom rom / kernel issue.

Auto Sleep Display Time Automatically Rests

Hi All,
I have noticed that whenever I set the sleep time (Settings -> Display -> Sleep) to anything other than the 15 seconds, after a little while, it will automatically revert back to 15 seconds. I have set it to 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes and never, but they will always automatically revert back to 15 seconds. My battery is at 85 percent and this happens even after I turn off smart power and all other power saving management programs. Are there anyone else that is experiencing this problem? Please help, thanks!
I don't have this problem. I set the sleep time to 10 minutes on the first day and now it is like it should be, set to 10 minutes
I also don't have this problem.
Hi,
I figured it out. I have the program Kinscreen installed and it was this program that was automatically changing my sleep time. I paid for the premium version which unlocked the option to change the sleep time in Kinscreen and problem solved!

Adaptive Brightness won't turn off

Hello! I'm on Android 9. I want to use Lux because Adaptive Brightness sucks on the Mi A1 but the latter won't stay turned off. if I disable it, it gets enabled automatically after some time, it could be 10 minutes, 30 minutes or 3 hours, no more than that. i tried disabling Adaptive battery as well thinking that some other internal process could be setting it on as well. I uninstalled Lux just in case it was lux enabling it by mistake. I don't have many apps, I keep it clean. I'm yet to do the testing of running the phone in debug mode for a couple of hours to see if it's a third-party app or not, but even if it was, I can't think of any app that could be doing that.
Any suggestions? Please help me, I love my phone but my brightness sucks with Adaptive method, it goes pitch black all the time, I hate it.
Thanks a lot!
