Prices have skyrocketed in the U.S.

Can you believe how the prices have gone up in the U.S. for the unlocked international version? Heck, the price of the GN sold directly from Amazon has gone up a lot even though they don't have any in stock.
I bought one on eBay and the guy cancelled on me after I won the bid.

Bought it here for 699 Euros = 893.39 U.S. dollars
How are the prices there?

Check handtec.co.uk, they have been dropping the price each week.
Looks like $650.00 including shipping to US.

I got mine from simply electronics for £480, and it seems to be going down every week.

500 euros on amazon.de.

We have to pay BRL1800 in Brazil for you. That's roughly USD1000. Don't you ****ing dare to ocmplain on your prices =p

Agreed! I was bought one in eBay and had to return it because it was pretty beat up. While I ordered that one prices for new ones were around $650. Now they have shot up over $100! Now I am stuck with a complete set of accessories e.g. case, screen protectors, car dock etc and NO GALAXY NOTE

Here in India, it is available for Rs32250 which is roughly $611. Unfortunately, Flipcart.com doesn't ship overseas.

The prices were dropping the prior to Christmas on Amazon. The lowest I saw was 638 or so. They started to go back up and I pulled the trigger at 649.90. I noticed they are higher than that now and Global Mobiles higher also and is running out of stock.
Demand must be growing!

At&t version be released soon. once thAt hAppens the prices will come down

I got mine at $638. It was briefly $635 but the price went up while I had it in my cart.

I got mine 21 days ago and the price when convert to US$ is 687.19. But now the price reduce to US$674.69

Maybe not, the US one has a nerfed CPU. If you want the real version you still have to import.
I have the import and it is mint with a good screen (no bad pixels or dark areas). I might sell it nd replace with the Galaxy tab 7.7 if that comes out. Still not sure though.

I think what will help is that the average consumer has no idea what a Snapdragon or an Exynos is; but, one thing is for sure supply goes up prices come down!

I bought mine a couple weeks before christmas on eBay for $680 USD with free shipping.

Once the supply is directed to the large carriers there will most probably be a shortage on the unlocked front,Samsung doesn't manufacture Galaxy Notes alone.

I was originally going to wait for the AT&T version but once I heard about the CPU I plopped 690 for the international, should be here in 4 days, time to say goodbye to skyrocket

One way is to have a sharp eye out for deals and be ready to jump on them when they appear. I got my 2014 the 32 gb for $539 at Best buy about 6 days ago. Got Galaxy Gear for $209 at Best buy too.

Haha. But the benefit is that you can get Nexus Protect on when you order from Google. I just got this for my girlfriend. I'm honored to bring her to the Nexus world. Right now, she's using my old 2013 Moto X Dev that she inherited after she broke her screen and is loving the debloated version of 5.1 that I put on there. She is amazed at how well it runs compared to her 2013 Motomaker Moto X. Little does she know that it only gets better with Nexus devices!

Bh sold out but Amazon still has stock except blue 16gb. Bh accepting back orders at discounted price still.

lol agreed. I don't care what anyone says! It sucks when you pay full price for something, and then a big sale hits not that long after. That's life I guess though.
I bought 10 x 64GB Cloud White Nexus 6s though. I couldn't resist at $249.00 each. The $80 discount wasn't enough to risk on buying a bunch of 5Xs...
Luckily I ended up returning my 5X and staying with the Nexus 6, which I will be returning as well now. HaHa.

Damn nice one man! Most places won't reverse price match black Friday sales, flash sales, etc. You got lucky!

Was considering RMAing my 5x for a VERY pink screen (compared to my gfs 5x, which was already VERY warm). Ordered from b&h and will return my Google order. $350 shipped versus $450, plus a $25 gift card. No brainer if your in your return window.

Got mine from the Play Store. Grabbed the black 16gb for $299. Should be here between the 3rd and the 7th.

Just picked a 64 up. Been an HTC supporter for years, but curious to try Nexus. I'll play with it and really can't lose. If I hate it, I'll return it to Amazon, and if I love it, I can sell my M9 for more than I paid for the Nexus.
I really wanted the 6P for awhile, but quality issues according to the xda forum, and not trusting Huawei yet kept me from taking the plunge.
I have never had a pure Android phone, although I've run AOSP and Cyanogen Roms on my various HTC devices. I'm scared I'm going to want to keep both...D'oh!

Going to be a lot of pissed off people that bought one very recently. It kind of sucks when this happens for people that paid full price, but that is life! Although, if you can still return it... I'm not going to lie, if in the past 30 days I paid $399 for a 64gb Nexus 6, I would order another RIGHT NOW and then return my original for refund. Yup, I'm that guy. That's $150... If it was $50 or less I wouldn't waste my time but $150 and a shiny new, dust free speakers. Hell yeah.
I can't complain, I bought a 32GB blue 2 months ago for $300, then when I sent it in to Motorola I got them to send me a 64GB White instead. (Long story)

Just ordered a 64 gb white for 259.

They are selling out fast! As of right now, only 64gb Blue is in stock for the sale by Amazon.

I picked a 64gb up in midnight blue. Can't wait as this is my first Nexus phone.

Just bought a one month old blue 64GB model for 360 USD, sick and tired of the Huawei EMUI on the Mate 7 though the batterylife was awesome.

I have the 6P, returning it as I got in on this deal and managed to score a few for friends and family.
For me, my Nexus 6P cost just under $900 cdn for the 128 gb model. Switching to the Nexus 6 64 gb, my phone is now only about $340 cdn funds so that is my main reasoning for the switch. Looking forward to getting mine!

Not sure yet as I haven't owned a Nexus 6 yet, just the 6P. The 6P was a great phone, really snappy and feels great in the hand, I will let you know when I get the 6

Selling Mate 8 suggestions

After much thought I think a 6p is better suited for my needs. Being in the US there doesn't seem to be a big market for the Mate 8. Where would you suggest selling my brand new AL10 64gb 4gb ram version? Swappa only shows the L29 version and nobody seems to want it for a trade despite the higher value of it. I also would like to stay away from the bay. Had but luck selling phones there. TIA

None of the out of mainstream phones sell well after the first initial 3 months of release. You will always take a lose with imported phones after buzz.
You have to be a little flexible on the price though. You have slim chance of getting anything close to retail besides listing on ebay. But after fees, you could sell it elsewhere with a smoother transaction.
I would have bought it but 32gb version on ebay for 415 was a better deal.
