Why would you want to? You are basically taking a free and open phone and loading it with the AT&T bloat. The only thing we are really missing is there Wifi calling feature, correct?

Is it possible to get an AT&T S7 edge to work on t-mobile? And what steps would I take to make it work? I am kind of a noob when it comes to unlocking and flashing.

Best bet is to pay an Unlocked Company for a code or stay on AT&T service for a couple months and try to get them to give you an unlocked code.

Anyone been able to use the Korean S7 in the US? I'm on AT&T and want to use Samsung pay without having to be limited to no tethering on the AT&T model.

I have just got Korean S7 edge and it works with AT&T besides the fact that I cannot setup Samsung Pay. It gives me a message "insert a SIM card of the country you are in".
AT&T SIM is in, so I have no idea what is the issue with it. All other stuff is working fine

Yes, same time you get that message. Maybe your phone was branded by Olleh, right? See at booting time. Many my friends reported if any korean version phone with Olleh will be facing that problem. But if SK Telecom no problem. I dont know why. So, I wanna cross flashing using G935F firmware. But I'm so scary if bricked

Yes my phone is Ollleh. I am not a specialist, but the more I read, more I convinced that G935F should fit.
At worst case, if bricked you can reflash Korean FW back

Second option looks like less risky to me  I will take my time to think about it

Just moved and tmobile service is horrible here. I have to switch to verizon. I got my tmobile s7 unlocked and have heard different feedback as to whether or not it will work with verizon. Some say yes, some no, and others have said it will but not with 3g signals.
Anyone know the truth?
I am almost positive the T-Mobile (and AT&T) versions do not have the CDMA radios enabled, and Verizon (and Sprint) need CDMA.

Well you're almost positive because you've never tried it lol which is a negative. Just flash the unlocked US firmware.
How to enable the cdma? Can I root it and flash a Verizon firmware?

you have to flash the SM-G935U over the SM-G935T. And that should take care of the problem. Just make sure that you unlock your phone via the t mobile unlock app. otherwise you wont be able to use other carriers signal.
here is a link where you can get it the SM-G935U
https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-G935U/
So by flashing the verizon firmware on an unlocked tmobile s7 edge, you should be able to use it on verizon?
Thanks!

Absolutely not, it will NOT work but if it was the other way around
and you wanted a verizon s7 edge phone and use an at&T or
t-mobile sim then it would work. The verizon s7 edge has a sim
slot which is not used if it's on the verizon network.
All S7 Edge Verzion phones are sim unlocked.
Good luck, have a great day!
Thank you for the help!

is there a step by step process to unlock and setup/flash/install phone completely to be able to use with Verizon?

Hey everyone,
I have an ATT S7 Edge and was looking to switch to Tmobile. My S7E is unlocked with a Prepaid Tmobile sim in it now and all is working well (even VoLTE which I was shocked about). I'd like to have Tmobile software for wifi calling if it is at all possible. It seems as if VoLTE compatible so I figured the hardware was the same, just different software/basebands. I know Samsung is a nightmare with their carrier versions/locked bootloaders so I assume the chances of this being possible is unlikely, but I figured I should at least ask.
You won't be able to flash TMo firmware on your AT&T phone. Sorry.

I think worst case scenario is he bricks his phone.
Trade it on CL for a tmobile one.

DO NOT do that.If you do so then you can flash your framework back to ATT. I flashed my g935p with g935t framework afterward I can't go back to Sprint framework.

If you open the phone dialer application and then click the more option in the top right corner and click settings you should have a option for wifi calling if you scroll right to the bottom of the page this is where you will find the wifi calling option.
Hi,
First place I looked and it is not there, spoke to Vodafone and Samsung, but, to no avail.
Thanks for information though.

I'm not sure then I've been reading that Vodafone isn't adding wifi calling to BTU phones they only add wifi calling feature to their own phones which have their firmware. I purchased my s7 edge sim free off contract so it is fully unlocked and has the BTU firmware and when I put my EE sim only contract in the wifi calling feature showed up in the place I directed you to. It probably is just that Vodafone hasn't pushed the wifi calling feature to phones that aren't from them.

Ah ok. That is a shame as my phone is sim free. I might just put a EE sim in there to see if the option turns up.

You can't do it without root. I am with Vodafone UK and on the BTU firmware and I don't see the WiFi calling option, but changing the CSC to VOD will bring back that option. Some features are controlled by CSC so you won't see them on a different firmware.

putting an EE sim in should make it work and bring the WiFi calling option up but i think it might have to be a pay monthly sim because EE don't support WiFi calling for pay as you go plans.

I believe putting in an EE SIM, turning on WiFi calling and then putting in a Vodafone SIM will make the option disappear. I'm not sure if this is what the OP is trying to do.
