When trying to unlock the bootloader I am stuck at 50% and it fails because it cannot verify the device.
My find device is set to on (some say it needs to be)
i have also tried to flash the dev rom using the flash tool but it runs to completion straight away and the phone remains in fastboot mode and doesn't reboot and so when manually rebooting nothing happens.
This is nearly 2 weeks of work to flash my phone because there is a virus in the Note application whereby advertisement banners appear when connected to the internet and with a malware scan the problem lies with a trojan in the note application meaning I have to flash the phone.
No progress at all in a week and I can seem to get around this 50% bootloader problem, does this mean Xiaomi haven't verified my request ? when logging into the bootloader it says checking permissions and then proceeds to log in, Its been 4 days no since I applied for permission to unlock the bootloader.
Help would be appreciated this is a new phone.
make sure you are on developer China rom , not stable
make sure you have checked usb debuging
make sure you are logged on mi account on device and on miflash

The developer rom flashes instantly like within a second so I am not convinced it has flashed.
usb debugging is on
find device is on
logged onto mi account
but how do you log onto the flash tool ? do you mean log into the bootloader unlock tool ?

Hi everyone!
I have bougth a Redmi Pro on Gearbest and it came with Chinese/English Version of MIUI.
After a week of usage, i turned off my xiaomi and when i turned back on, it stucked on a Mi logo. Far as i discovered searching on web, it was a bug that other peopel have reported too.
I took a opportunity of having this bug to fix, to put other rom on the phone. A rom with Portuguese language witch is my mother lang.
I tried to put the new rom via "SP Flash took" with the fastboot mod but without success.
I requested the unlocking on Xiaomi Unlocking site and when they repplyed and i connected the xiaomi to the computer, the program (XiaomiMiFlash) gave me an error message telling ""Couldn´t verify device. Current account is diferent from the account info in the device"
No i can´t do nothing with the phone.
Can you guys have some idea how can i solve this?
Thank you all!
There is a good chance that the phone is already unlocked.
What was the problem with fastboot? Maybe drivers issue?
Have you tried flashing TWRP? If it takes then the phone is unlocked and you can proceed with flashing the xiaomi.eu or globerom.

About the Fastboot i putted the phone on fastboot mode and i disabled the Driver Signature Enforcement on Windows. I connected the phone to the computer and started to run the SP Flash Tool. After the process was completed it wont gave me any result because the phone still stucked on Mi logo..
I did'n tried the TWRP because in every tutorial tells me that i need to go to the Developer Mode and activate the USB debugging i can not access to that because the phone don't give me more than the Mi logo.
hmm the fastboot method should have worked. Have you tried it on another computer, maybe 32bit windows?
When finished flashing with miflash in fastboot did it say it was ok at the end or did it give you an error? Als tried to reboot a few times after flashing without usb cable in the phone?

I'm out of ideas at this point.
I had some trouble with fastboot that my phone did restart when in fastboot mode.
Then i had to change the order of plugging in the cable and starting the program but after that all worked.
No idea what next ...
I had this issue with a Redmi 3. I can't remember the exact solution but I believe you have to have the developer ROM installed in order to unlock the bootloader. Maybe if you search for an anterior model such as the Redmi 3 you will find more information on how to load your ROM. I'm sure that it's the same method for most Xiaomi phones. Good luck!
I heard about do a Hard Reset but i dont know how to do that because i cant access to the OS of the xiaomi.
Is there a way to do a hard reset with the xiaomi stucked on Mi logo?
Tks!
Happy 2017 for all!
I tried to put my phone one Recovery Mode but it is blocked. Its like the phone on this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTzdQpex7BQ
How can i unlock this?
I never could get into the xiaomi recovery either but i managed to flash twrp through fastboot though.

Hi
Does your problem with sp flashtools and flashing the ROM be solved ?
Sent from my Redmi Pro
I had this problem, but I'd installed TWRP already. But you shouldn't need USB Debugging on to flash TWRP. If you manage to flash TWRP, flash a new ROM (I recommend xiaomi.eu (I think they have Portuguese)) and wipe the Dalvik cache, /cache, and /data (you probably won't have to wipe /data/media).
Miui themes
Sorry will start new item
Have you tried a different cable, that is why mine wasn't recognized at first.
I'm having the same problem here. The phone rebooted itself when I changed the locale, and hung at the Mi logo. I already had TWRP flashed. I also took the opportunity to install a new ROM; the Global Dev ROM. It installed with no errors and I wiped the Dalvik, cache, etc. Still hangs at the Mi logo, but this time without the little loading dots at the bottom. Any suggestions?
Update: I can bring it back to the original state with the loading dots and "powered by Android" at the bottom with a backup I took before flashing the new rom, but still no progress.
I managed to restore my phone using the video:
Flash Xiaomi Redmi Pro Using SP Flash Tool [Locked Bootloader]
I can't post links since I don't have enough posts here yet, but search for it on Youtube.
Update: It seems like the unlocking permissions on my account have been retroactively rejected, I wonder if that has something to do with it. I also can't seem to find the Global ROM for the Redmi Pro anymore, just the China one. Does anyone have a link for the official Global ROM on the Xiaomi site?
Update 2: Suddenly I have unlock permission again, without reapplying, so that's cool. I installed the Eu HMPro ROM, everything's working well so far.

You could try dowloading the official rom and then download the CHINESE version of mipc suite then enter fastboot and connect the phone
Normally the chinese mi pcsuite automaticly detects the phone is in fastboot mode, you could use google translate to translate it all just choose redmi pro on model selector (the top selection bar)the text there is untranslateable just choose the one that says pro
And then under it chose the one that translate to chinese
After That there's two tick box under it, choose the ROM you downloaded
After that chose the one that translate to install brush package, if it doesn't work choose the download brush package next to it
Thus method worked for me when my phone bricked hope it helps you
Hey -
So I got my redmi 4 prime today, and I want to unlock the bootloader. (I have made sure it is indeed locked with the "fastboot oem device-info")
While trying the official method, I got the 50% error "Can't verify device". I tried everything suggested to
fix it - Made sure my "OEM unlock", "USB Debugging" are enabled, added my device and account under "MI Unlock Status", that fastboot and adb recognize the device,
tried disabling driver signatures, logging into my account using account id... nothing helped.
Then I tried flashing the chinese developer rom. Using the "Updater" app, I got an error saying "Can't verify update - You're allowed to flash the newest develop version published by MIUI forum from stable version only".
Now, according to the settings menu, I DO run the stable version - I run Miui global stable 8.2.4.0. I tried flashing the chinese stable version, but got a similar error.
I tried flashing using Mi Flash and fastboot mode, but I get some "Flash tz error" message. I tried using MiFlash and edl mode, but it seems that edl has been disabled - Trying to enter into it simply reboots the phone.
My recovery is also very stripped down - It has no update/wipe options, but only some hardware tests, device info, and the option to boot back into sideload/fastboot/normal.
Using sideload doesn't seem to work as well - no matter what I try to install, I get an "failed to read command" error.
I'm really running out of ideas, and I wan't to get this phone running and start using it daily with some non-MIUI rom.
Thank you for your help
As for me I had kinda the same issue that I couldn't get past 50% so what I did was Delete my Device from my Mi account and did a factory reset then after the factory reset you'll be asked to sign in with your Google,Xiaomi account DO NOT sign in with any account, don't even connect to the wifi, just boot up the phone straight without any Google,Xiaomi account, then in the settings activate your wifi, find the bootloader unlocking thingy which will tell you sign in with your Mi Account, sign in,reboot your phone after signing in then unlock your phone and you're done.

This 50% stuck, i think 99% of Xiaomi users who try to unlock bootloader for the first time always experience this, i'm the same as you before, i try everything as i'm desperate to unlock the bootloader, you try this first..

Try doing this and let me know if this works:
1. Factory reset the phone
2. Don't set up the Wireless network and Mi Account on first boot
3. After initial setup turn on Developer options, then turn on USB debugging and OEM unlocking
4. Reboot the phone
5. Set up the wireless network
6. Go to Developer options > Mi Unlock status and click on Add account and device then set up Mi Account using account Id (accept every pop-up)
7. Reboot into fastboot and try to unlock your phone

Hi friend,
I believe, you already have MI account and permission SMS from Xiaomi. If not, please read how to get bootloader unlock permission from Xiaomi over the net. If you have that permission, please make sure that you are using latest version of MI unlock tool.
Then log in with your MI username and password. Activate developper options in the phone, then USB debugging + OEM unlock in the developper options. Then go to fastboot and connect the phone. Check wheter the phone drivers are properly installed in Windows.
If everything is OK, then hit UNLOCK. If you have all of the above completed, then you should succeed.
If you want to flash another rom in the phone, you can make that without to unlock bootloader with an Xiaomi enginnering cable. Google is your friend

Hi, thks for help.. I dont have that "OEM unlock" option, dont know why...
This is what I get: "Current account is not bound to this device"
Please could someone guide me on how to flash either a stock rom onto my Mi Note 2?
I have been told by an admin elsewhere on here that it is possible to re-flash the stock rom that is already on a device using fastboot but I do not know how.
I am presuming no PC will be involved as the current system will not boot fully and therefore cannot be used to set USB developer options etc.
Thanks in advance.
A PC is used in this operation. You will need fastboot and adb drivers and mi flash. You can find lots of tutorials about the fastboot flash on google. Even on Mi Note 2's subforum on the miui forum.

Hi @alexmanu1: Oh dear, then I'm still stuck because my phone cannot get through the android setup screens. It has been like this since I did a simple factory reset.
I posted this on the MIUI forum and a moderator told me that I did not need a PC to re-flash the same stock rom already on the phone. His response is here: https://en.miui.com/thread-4960565-1-1.html
The reason I need a non-pc solution is that following a factory reset, I go through the setting of region, wi-fi etc but after I select "set up as new", my phone is stuck on "Checking for updates" (no matter how long I wait or what wifi I am on).
I thought I would try to install a new stock rom to see if that would fix the issue. However, in order to unlock with the Mi bootloader unlock tool, I need to enable some options under developer menu, which is not possible when I cannot get to any menus :crying:. Also, I cannot utilise an SD Card (if that would even help), because the Mi Note 2 does not have an SD Card slot. Furthermore, I cannot write to the phone's storage because the phone defaults to USB charging mode so nothing is visible when connected to a PC with a USB cable.
Any further comments on what the MIUI moderator told me (or any other ideas I could pursue)?
Thanks!
I've been trying for almost two weeks to unlock the bootloader on my Redmi Note 7 (Model M1901F7H) because I want to flash the official Global ROM (it has a carrier modified ROM) But Mi unlock REFUSES to recognize the phone when it's connected in fastboot mode.
I've searched the web for a solution and tried a dozen things, including following every single step on this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/how-to/one-redmi-note-7-unlock-bootloader-t3890751
But I haven't been able to solve the Issue. The device is recognized by all the computers I've been using while plugged in file transfer mode, but none of them recognize the device while it's in fastboot.
Some of the things I've already done include:
Trying 3 different PCs (both AMD and intel)
Disabled signature driver enforcement
Trying USB 2.0 ports
Installing old versions of Mi Unlock
Installing Xiaomi Usb Drivers
Installing 15 seconds ADB drivers
Intalling Mi unlock directly to C://
Enabled OEM unlocking and USB debugging on the device
Linked my Mi Account to the device
Restarting the device and computer multiple times
Re installing drivers over and over again
I know this is the first and supposedly easiest step of the whole process, but I'm stuck and close to giving up (but I really don´t want to).
Can anybody please help me out?

Hello,
sorry to hear that I'll try to help you but I'll need a screenshot shot of your device manager page (assuming you are using a windows PC). Make sure that you connect your phone in fastboot mode before taking the screenshot.
Maybe it's helpfull to install a VPN, in my case flexvpn from playstore, before starting unlock- process...
I solve with an old PC...but I wait for 270h to unlock...
thank you all for your comments, I don't know exactly what happened but Mi unlock recognized the device and asked me to wait for 33 hours to finish the unlocking process.

I don't know how but today Mi unlock recognized the device and asked me to wait 33 hours before unlocking.
This is my first time flashing a device and I'm feeling a bit nervous, if it's not much to ask, could you help me out with some questions? I would be very, very grateful
Can I wait 48 hours before attempting to unlock the bootloader again just to be sure? or it has to be exactly 33 hours?
I plan to flash the global RN7 rom found on en.miui.com/a-234.html to my device (Model M1901F7H), is this the correct one?
How can I lock the bootloader again after flashing this rom? I don't want to keep it unlocked
Do I need a custom recovery? I'd like to keep the stock one if possible
Is there a way to backup my current ROM? In case I need to issue a warranty claim

These stuffs seems quite tough and tense at first but its quite easy and safe if you understand what you are doing...and yes I'll answer them one by one
1)The wait period shown by the unlocker is the minimum time you would have to wait to unlock your bootloader so any time after that wait period is fine(But is a chance that even after the wait period the unlocker would give you some error if that happens PM me or quote me)
2)The device code name for Redmi note 7 is lavender so just flash the rom made for lavender I'll give the link to download the stable rom https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv10/
From the above link download the latest version for HMnote7 ,in my opinion European is better than the original one but best rom so far is mokee.
3)You can lock your bootloader using fastboot commands or by flashing the device with miui using Flash tools...but that is not necessary open bootloader is better
4)Yes you need a custom recovery and after flashing the rom from your link the custom recovery will be replaced by the one given in the rom(Don't flash that one! Use the one i gave you if you still want miui but if you like stock then go for mokee)
5)No need to backup it is available online and it can be flashed using flash tools also doing these things and keeping the bootloader unlocked won't void your warranty so there is nothing to loose warranty will be give as per your purchase invoice date! Also if you backup that rom using a custom recovery then it can be use as failsafe if you get into a bootloop or something..but that rom is not mandatory any roms bqckup would do just fine
If you still have doubts I'll be happy to clarify ?

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer all of my questions! You've been very helpful.
I've been thinking about what you wrote but I think I wanna install the official global ROM via Mi Flash. If I select the "clear all and lock" do I risk bricking my device? That's my main concern.
I didn't mention it earlier, but the only reason I want to unlock the Bootloader is so I can flash the official global Rom, (my carrier takes ages to update the rom they install, and it's also full of bloatware) this is my main phone (less than a month old), and while I understand that keeping the bootloader open and using custom ROMS could enhance my user experience, for the time being I want to keep things simple and safe. Maybe in the near future I'll start tinkering with custom rom and recoveries.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions! I don't know exactly what did the trick, but I was able to unlock the bootloader and flash a global ROM. I've encountered some issues with it but that's another topic.
Once again, thank you all!

I have finally understood the problem. What you need to do is not install the ADB Drivers separately, but you need to check for the unknown Android device that is shown under the USB devices when you connect the device (via USB port).
You have to update that driver with the ADB Drivers.
That will only solve the problem of the fastboot detection
